Submitting scans/wallies drawn by me

"I'm not sure if it's allowed here in AP to submit scans/wallies of a certain anime/game that was made by me (literally. As in the main image was made by me). I would like to make a wallpaper out of my few drawings but I'm not sure if it's allowed. Here's a sample of my work:

"Here's my latest revision. I xtracted out the original stock photo then placed a new layer then added cloud brushes. Also, I changed the bird brush just like ~mblack said.

"Okay, here's the revision of my wallpaper. I used some available effects fro Photoshop 7.0 to make the background less realistic. I also found a brush in DA for the birds so I applied some as well.

Regarding to what happened to you, I'm very sorry to hear that. Since you're new in this place, I'll give you a very helpful tip. Before you submit your creation (referring to wallpaper or scan), make a topic in Session Zero subforum. People who are normally in there give away constructive criticisms and impressions that will help you improve your creations. They may send a bit serious but all-in-all they're nice people and just want to make your creation suitable for acceptance by the site. Hope that helps...

Chobits Wallpaper

"Okay, this was supposedly a wallpaper by my friend, iris03, and me as a collaborator to help her. Since I couldn't resist myself to finish the wall, I did most of the work and made everything according to what I want. After I realized what I did, she said and allowed me to post it in my account since I did most of the work instead of her.

Now, after what I did, I decided to post it in here in Session Zero first.

The theme of our wallpaper is a nature one. I used a stock photo as a background and used brushes to serve as flowers on the grassy field. I also used some brushes on the sky as clouds but it seems it's not very evident. I added a text and some swirls and sparkles on the wallpaper for they empty part of the wall on the left side. I was thinking of adding a flock of birds on the sky, as well. Unfortunately, I couldn't find one and don't know if it will fit the wall...

So what do you think? Do I have to make any changes or anything to improve this wall?

"Okay... I now have my latest revision of this wallpaper!! Since there's something missing on this image, I decided to make a CG of Normad (?). Regarding the parts seen from other characters such as from Ranpha and Forte, maybe I'll apply if it truly didn't turn out good. What do you guys think now?

"O_o What extraction? If you guys were referring at the white border around the corners of the characters, it was part of the scan already. I just cleaned it made the panels for them to be placed. If others were referring the extraction of the panel images, it seems alright in mine. It's probably caused by the resizing I made since the file size is too big for imageshack.

Here's my revised version of the wallpaper I made



I didn't continue on making it in Black and White Scheme since it will make my concept more different than before. I made some line within the panel images so it will look a bit different and also added brushes to make the main images and the background in contact with each other.

So... What do you guys think now?"

"Okay, I just made this awhile ago with the span of 2 hours. My idea for this wall is a panel-type kind with a mixtures of the message given. I decided to make panels and clean the main images into a brighter one. I placed a text at the the back. I know this looked very simple to fo but I don't know anything else to place on this wall to make a bit unique. I'm also unsure if I should place dark red cheery blossom brushes on the back of the text on the panels.

Suggestions to make this wall better are highly regarded.

"Okay, I made this the other day with the span of an hour and a half. I came up with this idea inspired from the Opening of the series itself and decided to make a wall out of it. After the trouble and effort i've been through, it seems the wall itself seems to be missing something but I'm quite unsure. Any suggestion given will greatly be appreciated.

I used a stock photo for the background and manipulated the colors a bit. I used a scan of Milfuelle in a Kimono. My aim theme is a festival fireworky background. I was also thinking of comet lines/fairy trails/fairy dust, whatever you call it around her. Unfortunately for me, I don't know any tutorials for. I was thinking of adding more effects since I'm not contented with simple background such as like that. Any suggestions are greatly appreciated.

TRC Wall - My 2nd Wall

The original size of this wall was 1600 x 1200. I just lessened it since it's to big for imageshack.

I came up with this idea awhile ago and decided to make an experimenation on the background. I know I'm not satisfied of the look because there's something missing on it. I was thinking of making comets on the upper part of the background and a fog or mist effect for the main image. If anyone knows a URL of the said effects, please tell me.

Anyways, I need some suggestion to add on this wall. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

What programs do you use for graphics and website making?

"I use all sorts of programs. For graphic designing, I use Adobe Photoshop 7.0 and Adobe Illustrator 10. For website designing, I use Notepad (I usually to do it manually) and Microsoft Frontpage."

"The edges of the main image is a bit sketchy, try anti-aliasing it or smoothing the borders of it. The background seems too simple, try applying a better one and also add a text on the right side. I can sense that it's empty... Good luck to your next improved version..."

Tsubasa Reservoir Chronicles Wallpaper

"I just finished applying additional parts of the scan. It took me several days just to fix this (just free time). It's my first attempt on using vectors. I decided not to edit the background since I'm just going to use the the main image (Fai and Syaoran).

This image will be used for my next wallpaper project. Before I make a wallpaper, I'll have to get other people's opinion about this scan before I go further to making it into a wall. Please ignore the image size and the background part. I resized the image because the size is 14.9 MB on it's actual size. I'll remove the background as I continue making the wallpaper. The scan hasn't been cleaned yet... I will do that as I go further making the wallpaper too.
