"Usually i would say "no" to metallic text, but now is a good time to whip out them photoshop actions and style effects. photoshop comes with some metallic style settings already. you should apply them, but i wouldnt just leave em black and white, or that familiar gold/blue chrome thing...just add some red overlay to the text maybe
the jet looks too..realistic i suppose...if you tightened up the level adjustment settings or higher contrast, you would get bolder whites/blacks on the jet which would make it match more with the way iron man is drawn/inked"

"To tell yah the truth, it would get rejected
but to save you from losing paper, dont submit

one thing that usually doesnt work out well is ghosting, which is "enlarging a picture and lowering the opacity" esp if its the same picture. a different picture would look better in most cases...
and if a big head takes up most of the canvas, it doesnt leave much room to get creative
the border that is applied on the smaller picture to me seems like a way to avoid extracting pictures, and doesnt look interesting"

also since her clothes are blue add a new fill layer of blue set to soft light 50% to kinda blend it all in...or you could do brown to make it afternoonish
the background kinda has too many filters applied to it and it kinda looks like a oatmeal raisin cookie
the light brown cloud on her rear and legs is kinda odd"

the pic of mirelle is really bad looking...i dunno maybe make it match the background to make it like pop art>? that would take alot of recoloring/redrawing...but might not look good in the end
like what ive been doing recently is putting a little bit of tilt in my pictures to make them more interesting to look at
see how her hair flies upward? you could tilt the entire frame a little clickwise
and also since theres alot of black in here, you could make her picture almost shilouette by painting most of the mid and dark tones only leaving the highlights the normal color"

"You need to work on the composition some...from what you have, i would flip those circles horizontally and move em to the right. along with the letters
if you were to add something in the top right corner in its current state, it would really throw off the uhh layout
maybe even rotate the circles horizontally becuase its odd that they just go downward ;/

please dont use that font in the finish work, because it doesnt look good in any situation
the scan, tho neatly extracted, could use some clean up beacuse of the grainyness...you could try messing with low level/setting surface blur, it should take the grain right out"

i use quickmask all the time when extracting scans. the advantage of quickmask i think is the easy ability to add or remove a selction and switch between selection and edit mode

which uhh my client is actually my cuzin haha
err this flyer when through 3 complety different revsions because he wanted this to look like a real club flyer that you see so often on car windows, at registers..and sometimes the ones you pick up off the floor because they looked kool haha.
first i was not given much information on the party itself...so i kinda just through some stuff together...yeah that didnt work well
2nd version was alot better..but he didnt like the "animeness" of it [hey what can i say, im an anime freak]
so i really needed some source pics to fill up space. he gave me some pix and i was able to work with them to make a funny flyer.
the flyer went through so many revisions because its a small personal party..and i think his friends would like this [it hasnt been sent out yet btw]
