After months of work, chanelqueen17 has created a gorgeous scene of Alice and Oz from Pandora Hearts, using scans that didn't even feature both characters together. Even after spending so much time on matching the details of the characters to their new looks, chanelqueen17 didn't stop there and went all out on the background too! This wallpaper definitely needs to be seen!

Are old games harder than younger ones?oO
8 months 1 week ago
"In my opinion, yes and no. I know that kind of sounds like a cop-out answer, so I'll try to explain it better now. I think it really depends on the angle you're coming from; if you're an experienced gamer, chances are that today's games are easier because they do a better job of explaining themselves to you. I think it also helps (or hurts, depending on how much you like a challenge) experienced gamers when they know that they can manuver around obstacles easier today, thanks to 3-D and other things, whereas in the older 2-D titles, it was a point A to point B progression, with most games throwing everything in your way to block you.On the flipside to this, I think today's games are much harder for newer people to get into, largely because of the large scope and complex controls in a lot of these games. There isn't that Super Mario Bros. of this gaming generation that can grab anyone and pull them into video games, unless that person is really dedicated to becoming a gamer. Thankfully, it seems that some strides are being made to correct this, but I know it's still very much far from being truly fixed.
I hope my answer made some sense. It at least makes up the "yes and no" thing I started off with."

Girls Playing video games
9 months 3 days ago
"As someone that grew up on video games by having a couple of female cousins teach me some of the ropes and handing me a few beatings every now and then, I really can't say I react differently when I see a female play a video game. I think it's terrible when there are those out there that try to look at female gamers are something different from what they really are. At the end of the day, they're trying to enjoy the game, just like the guys are. There's simply no point to harass a female for simply playing a game for ANY reason, and I pity those that don't see it that way."View
Your favorite console, and why.

"Heh, I don't think I joined Anime Paper to talk about video games, but I would like to comment on this. My favorite console of all of the current systems would be the Wii. No disrespect to the Xbox 360 (which I also enjoy and would like to have one day) and the Playstation 3 (haven't had the chance to play it, actually), but there are simply more games that appeal to me on Nintendo's little system. Tsuzuki hit on many of the same points I that I have (I don't hack systems though), but something else I would like to add is that the Wii is the only one of the systems that I feel is really trying to do something new and exciting, rather than giving established games and genres a face-lift.We're all entitled to our own opinions about the systems, which is cool, but I just don't share the same stance that a lot of people disgruntled with the Wii share. First and foremost, despite playing video games for about 18 years, I wouldn't dare call myself a "hardcore" or "casual" gamer, and I don't mind the fact that there's a system reaching out to new people. The way I see it, it just gives me more people to play and discuss gaming with. :P Plus, as much as I love challenges, not every game I play has to be "serious" for me to enjoy it.
Long[er] story short, if I had the choice to get all three systems, I would do so in a heartbeat, but I'm a person that gets only what I can afford and want the most. When it comes to video games, the Wii manages to do both for me. Quite honestly, I've discussed this so much, it's not even funny. At the end of the day, I say play what you like and leave it at that. :)

Game genres
9 months 4 days ago
"As a youngster, I grew up on two genres in particular. Those genres would be the platformer and the fighting game. Many years later, those two remain my favorite genres in video games. Perhaps more than anything, I like it when games are designed in a way that really pushes my skills, and the way platformers and fighters do it appeal to me the most. Also, both genres share the distinction of being easy to get into, but in order to master them, it takes a great deal of dedication.I really don't have a least-favorite genre, as my overall enjoyment of a game really depends more on the theme and the game's overall direction. Still, if I had to choose one genre that I have the most trouble getting into, it's likely the First Person Shooter. Nothing against them when I find one I like, but that's often not the case. A lot of today's music games, like Guitar Hero and Rock Band, aren't really my thing, either, but I think that has more to do with the selection of music than anything."

"Heh, introduction threads have never been a strength of mine, but here I go. :P I introduce myself to Anime Paper as Madmangamer364, a screen name that I use from time to time. After some rather deep thought, I've decided to join this site and be a part of this creative community. I'm here because I have a desire to become respectable at making wallpapers one day, and I think now is the time for me to start learning how to properly make wallpapers and vectors to meet my goals. It is my hope that I can be an active member here, so I can accomplish this goal. That being said, I also don't mind looking at the work of others and being a fan of theirs, so maybe I'll also do that while I'm here. Afterall, you never know who you can run into and end up being friends with. If you want, feel free to introduce yourselves to me, as well. Now that I've said all of this, I think I'll end this thread now. Thanks for reading, and I look forward to having fun here at AP. :)"
