After months of work, chanelqueen17 has created a gorgeous scene of Alice and Oz from Pandora Hearts, using scans that didn't even feature both characters together. Even after spending so much time on matching the details of the characters to their new looks, chanelqueen17 didn't stop there and went all out on the background too! This wallpaper definitely needs to be seen!

"Get the PS2 version. The PSP version made things even sillier when they seemingly removed the pro-rate from supers. Still, it's a solid game if you don't mind the PSP controls."

Do you feel guilty and remorse when you download anime and song

7 months 1 week ago

"I try to get CDs, but I certainly don't sweat it when I download music. If it's for a game or anime, I probably already own it anyways, so I sort of feel entitled. If I download a show, there's a good chance I've already seen it before or owned it at one point in time.

If anything else, downloading songs actually makes me want to buy the obscure CDs more. It already happened with Lunatic Festa (though I'm still looking for a copy of disk one, something I doubt I'll find on sale in this country ever)."

"Dnandre: Yes, along with Riesbyfe. =D

From what I've heard from local tests and other enthusiasts, though, it's horribly unbalanced. Of course, they'll probably fix it in later versions. It'll be better by the time any of us get the chance to play it, believe me."

"Right, I've been playing the game a lot more, so my understanding of the characters has been improved considerably. I've been playing a lot more Cecil, Terra, Shantotto, and Kefka (though I'll still occasionally beast people with maxed out Golbez).

I don't agree with tier lists at all, but if I had to slot them, this is roughly the order I'd put them in:

Top
Tidus - FAST. I'm pretty sure he has an infinity combo. At least, I've never seen any human get away from him.
Exdeath - COUNTER COUNTER COUNTER COUNTER
Golbez - Great Range, great equips, and the ability to stuff anything with his standing HP attack, which I actually find clashing better than Exdeath's physical counter. Couple that with BP moves that combo into HP moves. Wow. Just wow.

High
Kuja - This dude's always safe. Great range and maneuverability.
Zidane - Also faaaaast with a great overall attack arsenal.
Ultimecia - She's just a bitch. Fast, strong, multihits. I haven't played her much, but I've played someone who does enough to have a good idea.
Bartz - Good BP and HP attacks. While they may be a tad weaker than their original counterparts, he still has a very solid moveset.

Middle
Terra - She's awesome. Her spells are surprisingly fast and safe. Meteors can hit people anywhere, where the ice move stuffs people surprisingly well.
Firion - Cecil, but better and doesn't need to change forms.
Jecht - HORAH HORAH HORAH! This dude does incredible damage and spends half the match doing flaming headbutts with super armor.
Shantotto - <3 emoticon
Cloud - He's not nearly as hard to use as people claim. He can rack up some serious damage, but he's lacking a safe way to gain BP.
Gabranth - If you pick this dude, you're playing Budokai. Just try to get EX mode all the time.
Squall - Combos, and lots of them. He's the undisputed king of BP gain. He's HP attacks aren't as terrible as some people say, either.
Cloud of Darkness - She has too much start up on her moves, otherwise she's golden. And still overpowered.
Cecil - A solid overall fighter. The Dark Knight is slow with strong physical and ranged attacks, though the Paladin has the speed and the air game to make up for its weaknesses.
Fighter - SHIELD BEAM. He's not as overpowered as I once thought, but he's still a solid character. Still retarded in low level brawls.

Low
Sephiroth - I'm surprised I'm putting him down here, but he's actually not that hard to beat. He's fast, but most of his attacks leave him wide open.
Onion Knight - Predictable with short range. His whirlwind is really good, but you still have to get up to them to use it.
Garland - Sloow. He's really strong, though.

Bottom
Emperor - Impossible to get in on, but it's not like he can do anything to hit you anyways. Besides maybe his tracking HP orb.
Kefka - He has some good lockdown, but you have to always be attacking if you don't want to die. Most of his attacks have huge start-up and cooldown. You can literally dash through all but two of his attacks, which immediately deflect back on him for instant BREAK. Not to mention he can shoot himself on rare occasions, which I still find hilarious."

Will the PS3 die???

9 months 3 weeks ago

"I got a PSTriple specifically for Disgaea 3, so I shouldn't really argue this point one way or the other...

Sony desperately needs to get some (good) exclusive titles if they want to get competitive in the gaming market. The 360 has a huge library of games (though admittedly, not enough that cater to my tastes). The Wii, while having a ton of shitty games, reaches a wider audience than any console I've ever seen; I know plenty of people in their 50s who own a Wii just because they can play Bowling or Boxing on the thing."

Final Fantasy VII

9 months 3 weeks ago

"I actually agree with RubikPhoenix (ignoring my complete bias towards FFIV of course). FFVII was only so-so to begin with. It's been over-hyped, over-priced, and over-done. I'm tired of seeing FFVII spin offs.

I'd like to replace my old copy of FFVII just to say I have one. 8 was okay, but the drawing sucked and I didn't like the plot. The only FF games I really enjoyed passed VI were IX and XI, the later of which had me folding laundry half the time while I was playing. X-2 was fun if you ignored the terrible, terrible plot. But then again, I'm a sucker for job and skill changes. X was okay, but I felt 'meh' about the game in general. XII had a good plot and likable characters (if you completely ignore Vaan and Penelo. God, I hate them), but the game play left a bit to be desired.

I won't say that VII and 8 aren't quality games; they're just blown completely out of proportion."

"MB:AC is easily the fighting game I play the most. It's really awesome, though it doesn't really have much of a plot in ver. B. I don't play it as much anymore though, seeing as there are only a few people left that I know still willing to play it (casual people seem to wear out of fighting games quickly).

Also, SWR makes me laugh."

"See, you missed the memo (I.E. play FFVI).

Kuja = Ghey
Kefka = Hilariously Awesome

Kefka's EX Mode is weird. He doesn't get better per say (in fact, you can't really combo at all), but since you don't even know what some of your attacks are doing most of the time, your opponent sure as hell won't be able to figure it out. All his attack patterns change."

"You usually try to lock them down before doing that. Fire, Fire, Fire, Thunder, Fire, Fira, Ring of Doom. =D

Or just spamming the shit out of it from across the stage."

"Kefka's not that great to begin with seeing as he's out prioritized by almost everyone (and probably takes a bit getting used to for most people). His strength comes from his ability to mess with people, hit them from the sides, and ridiculously long range. At higher levels, he gets some really good combos. He gets practically all of his moves twice so he can use them from either ground or the air (though you need to master both separately).

Too bad you can deflect almost all of his attacks back at him (which still retain their homing properties). He can shoot himself if his opponent moves while you're attacking. It's actually pretty funny.

Still, people seem to either think that he sucks or is overpowered."

"I main Golbez (almost done mastering his skills too) and Kefka. I'm thinking of playing Cecil, Terra, Zidane, and the Emperor some more though. I like to switch things up.

Of course, I need to finishing beating the game with everyone (including Cloud, ugh) so I can unlock Shantotto. <3 emoticon"

"Oh, I didn't say Onion Knight sucks per say. I'm just saying that, compared to a bunch of other characters, his starting moveset isn't the best and his damage is pretty terrible until you get him a good weapon.

Fighting the CPU isn't really an example of good gameplay; they're easy to kill with AI abuse at any difficulty. Of course, the AI in Dissidia isn't terrible or anything. I'm just fortunate enough to know two other people with the game (One who plays Squall exclusively, the other plays Firion and Tidus).

Even moves like Terra's tornado move and Golbez's awesome rock attack are completely outclassed by long ranged 'melee' attacks. For instance, Firion's axe counts as a melee attack (meaning he's stunned if you block it, lol), breaks guard, clashes through magic, and is easily comboable. Squall's final HP attack is another good example. Of course, that just means you don't throw out huge attacks all the time like an idiot.

I agree with Ambstrike for the most part (barring the sentiment that Squall's attacks are hard to land. Not only that, his EX Burst always seems to do 9999 damage. What a cheapass). I have a problem with being too vague in summaries. So no hard feelings; I appreciate it. =3"

"I now own this game. It's pretty awesome. =D

It'd be more awesome if I could figure out what the accessories do. The skills and summons weren't too hard; it was just a matter of trial and error. I play Golbez and Kefka most of the time, but I've tried almost everyone at least once or twice.

-Fighter is broken, holy shit.
-Firion gets really dumb once he gets his comboable auto guard-break axe throwing move. Which I think is a starting move for him, by the way.
-Onion Knight is fast and short. Sucks until higher levels.
-Cecil is easymode, but fun.
-Bartz is weird and steals moves from everyone else.
-Terra is only good with ranged weapons, so don't expect to do so hot at close range.
-Cloud has a huge sword.
-Depending on the set, Squall seems to either suck or be completely overpowered with infinity combos.
-Zidane is FAST with decent attacks.
-Tidus is even faster than Zidane, but takes a little getting used to.

-Garland is slow, possibly the slowest character in the game. I can't play him very well.
-The Emperor is fun with his lockdown mines and sigils.
-Cloud of Darkness is hot. Oh, and I guess she's a little overpowered. =D
-Golbez is AWESOME. Nuff said.
-Ex Death has incredibly slow movement speed and does almost nothing but counter and teleport.
-Sephiroth has stupid long range, does stupid high damage, and moves stupid fast.
-Ultimicia is impossible to beat if you can't get in on her. Which, fortunately isn't hard.
-Kuja can dodge fucking anything. Anything.
-Jecht super armors through everything with flaming headbutts of death and usually wins the battle in ONE string of attacks.

-Shantotto (SP?) is adorable. Unfortunately, I haven't unlocked her yet.
-Gabranth... I don't have him yet, either."

I'm going to have so much fun beating up Nancy-Boy Sephiroth repeatedly."

Opinions on old favorite games changed?

1 year 3 weeks ago

"For me, classic games (rather, what I consider to be classics; my opinions probably differentiate greatly from the majority of people) tend to age well. In fact, I've gained a new-found appreciation for my old favorites. I dunno. The gaming industry today irks me in ways I don't know how to explain."
