"The teeth help. I think that maybe a top lip needs to cover some of the teeth to help her mouth shape and add a bit of dimension... Also something about the shape of the tounge and its color also seem to make the sushi look like its outside of the mouth rather than in it."

"I love the old school Dir en Grey.

They kinda have toned down their look since they are marketing to America, but the music is still pretty awesome.

Cage is one of my all time fave songs by them.

Who else, An Cafe was amazing but now that Bou is gone I haven't listened to them lately and I have to agree their old stuff is better than the new.

Dunno if VK is the appropriate term, but Acid Black Cherry is really awesome, but they kinda look a bit more mainstream J Rock than VK.

And well Miyavi is just plain AMAZING!"

Linkin Park

"I love Linkin Park.

Metora is still their best work in my opinion.

As a whole that record was well rounded and diverse while still feeling like an entire collection of songs rather than a compilation of tracks. Metora has a superior flow about it in comparison to their other cds. I do love some of Hybrid Theory, but a few of those tracks are rather bland. Re-animation was the same stuff, but remixed. The remixes of My December and Points of Authority were pretty awesome.

Minutes to Midnight sounds different than Hybrid Theory and Metora, I think Mike Shinoda has less to do with the making of Minutes to Midnight which is the reason for the new sound. Also the new environmentally and politically charged felling that comes with Minutes to Midnight is different. Not that its bad, but it tones the music. I like that they are trying to support a cause and mix up their style, but I felt they could have exercised it better.

Also Minutes to Midnight didn't have the flow between tracks like Metora. Still it does have some amazing songs on it..."

Season 2!

"Yeah, I think that if I were in Suzaku's shoes I'd want Lulu dead too... ALTHOUGH I must say that I rather do despise Suzaku for his UNYIELDING IDEALISM.

It makes him an unattractive character because he's always preaching down to Zero. He seems so black or white, where as Zero has a tiny bit more gray... then again he did try to use the Euphie screw up to his advantage, so maybe not.

Although sometimes I didn't like Hagu-chan as much as I did in the anime...
And Rika-san's story wasn't as relateable in the dorama as in the anime... or maybe I just didn't like her.

Still it was pretty amazing, and for the most part the casting was great."

"I played it on the Wii and enjoyed it.

Its different and Wii controls are going to be way different than what your used to... but once you get the hang of it is pretty fun.

The biggest annoyance was when I drew a shape that was just barely off... i'm not a percision person and that was a bit annoying but I managed. The camera was a bit funky but never was it a really problem. So unless you demand perfection it was a good game...

just its the same game as before, but with a wii mote (and a funky watermark)"

"I got to see ALI Project when they performed at Sakuracon... but the sound was kinda off.

I like some of their stuff... The faster songs impress me more than the slower ones. The vocals are cool but sometimes I feel like the songs are too similar... so not my fave, but they're not too shabby."

Can you live without watching anime ?

"I used to be an anime addict. Every night I'd go and find some new seires or download more eps. I'd seek out soundtracks and play any game that was related to an anime. All of my art became anime based, more or less I lost myself in the animes. It was really sad, I got depressed.

The I discovered life without an internet connection.

But eventually I figured out I don't need anime to be happy... in fact I spent so much time obsessing over it I had forgotten how to enjoy it. It just became a really hollow experience.

I still like anime and I read quite a bit of manga still, but its not all I do. I have a horse, friends, volunteering, and my art to keep my happy and busy.


But yeah, some of you who answered "I couldn't live" might want to get a copy of Bear v. Shark, its an amazingly good satire book and if you can follow it (it is kinda hard to read, the train of though is jumbled to prove a point) you might want to take a second look at how much anime you watch.


But yeah, I can live with out anime.

my anime friends are cool with my manga reading,
cause i tend to read manga more then watch anime anymore.
although its more for convenience than reading versus watching
or story line

some of my art room friends kinda feel like
"whats the point"
due to style
because a valid point can be made
that many characters do not have very original character design.

Does Evolution Lead to Self-Destruction?

"Well the destiny of all species is extinction, either by evolving into a new species or by simply dying out... as to "self-destruction", I'm not so sure. Although if I had actually seen the anime you're referencing I my opinion might be different. That said, I do not believe that evolving to a certain extent would make us self destructive. The cold war was more a product of poor communications, deception, misconceptions and over all human egomania and stupidity rather than a point in the evolutionary process. I do think that an over reliance on technology can cause massive problems both in an evolutionary and social manner...

But that kinda is a whole different story."

What music did you used to listen to when you were young?

"I used to listen to alot of stuff from my mom's era... so James Taylor, Carly Simon, Carol King and Alice Cooper... haha one of these things is not like the others. Then I discovered Blink 182, The Foo Fighters, The Red Hot Chili Peppers and System of a Down. Then I had this thing for a guy who was big on electro, so i eventually started listening to some of that... I still listen to all the stuff from when I was a little kid, but i definitely have expanded my music tastes since then.

currently I've had a pretty big affair with powerpop and new wave

although in retrospect, being 18, its not like it was all that long ago anyways.

Most Annoying Thing In A Game

"LACK OF VOICES! I can stand the bad voice actors, cause they give me some thing to laugh at, but i get sick of trying to read all the crap cut scenes want to throw at you.

Way to many LONG ARSE DUNGEONS... aka "STOTTET", freaking kirlsa and that god awful puzzley dungeon thing at the end... no wonder it took about 150 hours just to finish the story... or that tower thingy toward the end of FFXII.

Invisible walls, massive amounts of loading, and sidequests that never end are also pretty big pet peves of mine as well"

Do you tell other people, that you like Animes ?

"Well, yes and no.

I don't talk all that much with people who wouldn't know that I like animes,

i.e. the guy dressed as Riku from KH2 at Sakuracon probably knows that I like anime.

But if its in a general conversation with people who wouldn't know, I don't make a point of hiding it or pointing it out either. If somebody brings up the fact that I'm wearing a Cowboy Bebop patch on my hoodie or that I got voted into the year book for being a "girl gamer" and asks me a question about it, then I'll tell them. I don't like it when people showboat their knowledge of stuff I don't know or am not interested in, so why would I? If they truly are interested in anime or in my interest in anime, then they'll ask me more and I'll answer."

First day at School/Work

"Oh boy, the first day back was vile! I'm a very special kid who gets to dual enroll, so I go part time high school and part time college...

Anyways, some of the geniuses on the ASB at my high school devised a devious fundraiser called "Stop the Rock". I'm pretty sure everybody knows the song from the Vonage phone commercials, the one that goes "Whoowhoo who whoo whooo" over and over again. Well that song is CONSTANTLY blared in between periods, during all breaks, and lunch. So on January 2nd when most of my school was recovering from parties and hang-overs, this song was played as an incentive for students to donate money to the ASB. Once the students generously hand over 1000 dollars the music is supposed to stop...

Soo instead of donating the teachers and students have been hard at work ripping out the speakers on our P.A. system.

At least my college is nice and doesn't start for a few more weeks."

"Tears and troubles, not so much my own, but if i see somebody crying I just want to lend a shoulder for them to cry into, or if somebody is in a tough spot I'm always wanting to help them no matter what... which usually gets me into more trouble than if i had just minded my own."

Girls with short hair

"My hair has been alot of different styles and lengths, and all of them were good in their own ways. I've had it all in waves, curls and poker straight. From bum length hair, bobs, super layered a-line, even a really short pixie cut. And in plenty of colors including bight bubble gum pink, maroon, purple, black, blonde, and my natural brown.

But To be honest it has a lot more to do with your face and personality. Some girls look fine with boy cuts and some don't. Others are nice looking with long flowing locks but that's not always the case, sometimes long hair can look really sick on some girls. Plus if your hair isn't "you" its not gonna look good and your not gonna like it, which in turn will make other people not like it... and that's just not sexy.

what if there was a better way to browse throught the galleries? like genres... because i might be looking for a dynamite scan of any mech, not just a certain one from one show... i think that would save time and help prevent fruitless scan searching. the same goes with the actual walls, say i like a show i might see walls that are of similar shows.

dunno its just a thought...

What would you do If someone delete your anime colletction or destroy your DVD's

"Death would come swiftly to the destroyer of my collection, accidental or not. having suffered with 28.8 Kbs dial up and trying to download took FOREVER. if somebody trashed my collection. may god have mercy on there soul cause there butt would be mine.

but now that i have cable it's not sooo soooo SO hard to download and my friends would also give me a hand restoring my collection if it were lost.

Fansub Morality

"I think fan subbing isn't immoral. it helps expose animes that don't get licensed. Like my friends and I used to go to a local community college where they would play fansubs. There we saw one of are all time fav animes "Midori no Hibi" which in all likely hood will never be licensed (i heard that it was but i think its just a rumor). and even stuff that does get licensed never makes it on the TV. If it wasn't for fansubs alot of shows would go unnoticed.

plus fansubs help generate more of a market for shows that end up on TV. Like people said before, having a clue what something is about makes you more interested in it. I watched my first episode of Naruto 1 year before I saw it in america. So when it did come out in america I watched it because I already had an intrest.

i think its wrong for fansubs to be sold for a profit because if somebody should be getting that money it should be the orrignal animation studios and such, but if the fansubs are free I don't think its wrong."

"I first got addicted to reading manga when i was an exchange student in japan and my friend lindsey showed me some of her manga. i had been watching the full meal alcheist anime in america so then the next day i ended up buying the first 11 full metal alchemist books. they took forever to read with my pittiful knowledge of japanese. but i've been buying manga ever since."

"At my schoool everybosy thinks i'm insane cause I alway wear arm warmers. I have even had a girl come up to e and ask me if I wore them to hide wear I cut myself. To her dissapointment I showed her my scar free wrists. The other thing I wore that was strange was I'd wear color contacts over my naturally blue eyes. But for dressing really strange to purposely get some attention I went shopping with my best friend misato at holister weraing a black trechcoat , studded everything, metallica shirt, some red and black eye shadow and blood red lipstick.

I said boo to a girl holding a frappacino and she looked as if satan was coming to get her. it was quite amusing. "
