After months of work, chanelqueen17 has created a gorgeous scene of Alice and Oz from Pandora Hearts, using scans that didn't even feature both characters together. Even after spending so much time on matching the details of the characters to their new looks, chanelqueen17 didn't stop there and went all out on the background too! This wallpaper definitely needs to be seen!

Full Metal Alchemist Season 2?!

"Looking forward to the second FMA anime. I'm interested to see what they do with it...since if it has an episode cap and the manga isn't over yet, they can't animate the ending the creator has planned for the series.Well, we'll see won't we?"

Soul Eater
10 months 3 weeks ago
"I really enjoy Soul Eater, particularly the characterizations. I find that, in the beginning, instead of seeing their "good" traits we see their "bad" traits first(for example, Black Star's attention seeking resulting in him inconveniencing those around him or Kid's obsession with symmetry hindering him). By seeing their "bad" traits first I think they character's seem human(because they're making mistakes and/or bad decisions) and the character's become fleshed out by their "good" traits as they're revealed.Well, Soul Eater is pretty unique in a lot of ways. Good to get a breath of fresh air regardless of whether or not you like it, I think. "

"SOUL EATER IS LOVE! THAT IS ALL!Seriously though, I love this series. You find out the characters good and bad points right away, so there's no "This character seems too perfect because they show up in episode three and they don't have a flaw until episode fifteen" and vice versa. This makes it very easy to love the characters because you can see,if not the whole package, at least most of it.
I really adore the characters, especially Soul and Black Star. Soul Eater gets six giant, gold stars!"

FAN SERVICE ON GEASS!
1 year 3 months ago
"I don't really mind the fanservice, it's sorta funny in my mind. Though I'd like to see more fanservice of the guys. The most fanservice for we've received for a guy was when Lelouch was in the shower/tub in episode 13-14 and was beating the wall because Shirley's dad was dead...and it wasn't even a close up.Less fanservice for the guys and more for the girls, Sunrise! You had oodles of it in Gundam Seed!"

In the End, Lelouch and Suzaku. Rivals or Friends?
1 year 3 months ago
"I think they'll become friends again. Though it won't be the same. Too many things have happened for them to get back the level of friendship and closeness they had in the first half of season 1, but they'll be able to reclaim some of it at least. How much before all the tragedy strikes and/or Lelouch does something to turn Suzaku against him again is another thing entirely..."

Why leave the fansubs in an AMV?
2 years 5 months ago
"Yes, you CAN crop out the subtitles. However...the standard AMV program, Windows Movie Maker, doesn't offer the option easily. The videos that don't have subtitles are either RAW footage or the person stretched the video until the subtitles disappeared, something Windows Movie Maker doesn't let you do very easily. I've used it for 3 years and I still don't know how and there aren't any tutorials that show you how.If you want to crop out subtitles you have to use a program like Adobe After Effects or Adobe Premiere to stretch the screen. But the re-sizing mechanism for Premiere makes the video blurry and that makes it harder to watch then an AMV with subs. After Effects is supposedly better but it's harder to find on the Internet (and very expensive to purchase in stores).
Short of finding a good program like that you'd have to export the AMV as images and redraw the footage then re-import it and turn it back into video, which takes a lot more effort then it's worth.
So like SakuraAkaega said...not many people mind so people leave them in because it's so hard to get rid of them and for a lot of series RAWs are virtually none-existent. Maybe if the knowledge of how to remove subtitles was more easily accessible and easier to use then people would use it. In general people take the most accepted way out, and that's often the easiest.
XD so if you don't want to experience this kind of stuff again...find an easy program for us AMV makers to use that'll let us take out the subtitles and distribute it to us. Other then that...you just have to wait until such a program manifests itself into the mainstream and in the mean time...learn to ignore the subtitles. XD "

Why do anime characters mostly have Large eyes????
2 years 5 months ago
"I think the reason anime characters have such big eyes is to show emotions...after all, for confusion there's swirly eyes, for love-love there's hearts, when they're surprised their eyes turn to dots or maybe bulge out of their sockets. The bigger the eyes the bigger the range of emotions you can portray. I find the smaller the eyes of the characters, the more animators rely on facial expressions to portray emotions. in that case the eyes play a lesser role but are still involved overall which really shows their importance.Or...that's my two cents at least. Family Guy and simpsons are anime?? whaaaaa?
2 years 8 months ago
"I don't think they're anime...or atleast not in the typical Western term, Japan uses the term to refer to ALL animations, so going with the Japanese definition, yes they would be, but based on the Western definition...no, not even close. Art style isn't similar and they weren't made in Japan and that's what defines an anime to me."View
Uchiha Madara - Akatsuki Boss

"Akatsuki leader being Madara...? Hmm...possible...if that's true, Madara seems to bear a resemblance to Yondaime based on what my friend says(personally I haven't seen him yet, I'm a bid behind in terms of drawings but I'm caught up to the story) but maybe that's just hopeful speculation? Or even an illusion? Who really knows what Sensei's cooking up in that brain of his...we'll just have to wait."View
Wat's the difference between anime and manga??
2 years 8 months ago
"The difference between anime and manga? I'd say that's the artwork and how it's enjoyed...anime's presented as a movie made with computers(or at least now a days) and tends to have more vibrant colors then manga, while manga is hand drawn and is mostly black and white with a few colored pages for title pages and the like. Anime tends to be released on a weekly basis if it's being aired on television(if it's an OVA aka Original Video Animation series the difference between releases is sometimes months since the series is released straight to DVD and skips television broadcast) and for manga, depending on where they're being serialized...the time between chapters could only be a week, a month, every six months or even only once a year.So...that's about it I guess"

"Confessing" of love?
2 years 9 months ago
"I like how the word "confessing" sounds, I'm not sure why. Though, "kokuhaku" sounds nice to me as well. I think using the word "confessing" works just fine for describing the act of admitting your feelings. After all, another word that you could use would be "tell" or "telling" and it doesn't seem to hold as strong a feeling behind it as "confess" or "confessing" does. And to me the feeling a word seems to carry is very important. Almost as much as what your own personal feelings are.So, in my mind, "confessing" works just fine."

Animes are cartoons
2 years 9 months ago
"I suppose anime can be considered a cartoon because it's a television program that's been drawn or created on a computer and not filmed using actors. But there tends to be a large difference in terms of plots, characters, and art style between what most call "anime" and what most call "cartoons."Anime tends to have a bit more realistic way of portraying characters in terms of personality and anatomy then a fair bit of western cartoons, yet at it's core you could call anime a new style of cartooning.
So really, in my opinion, it's all a matter of personal perspective."

What do you HATE the most about anime?

My first anime!

"My first anime...? I'd say that would be Sailor Moon. I watched it from when I was about 4 to when I was about 12(I'm 16 now) my first subbed anime...hmm...what was it? Ya...it was Shaman King. That was only a couple years ago, now I can't stand dubs! Go figure. XD"View

"Gotta love CLAMP, Cardcaptor Sakura was one of my very first animes (albeit it was the dub. Couldn't help but watch it back then. It's what happens when you're 10 and don't know about subs) I love collecting their manga. Sometimes I'll just buy CLAMP manga on a whim when I feel like spending money but can't find any new mangas in series I'm collecting. Here's hoping they continue to entertain us with their brilliant artwork, stories and animes. "View
Do you ever do this when you are watching anime?
2 years 9 months ago
"Well, I don't necessarily assign characters in the show to friends but I have a habit that's probably just as strange. I tend to add in NEW characters in my head while watching the show. I guess in a way I put myself into the show as a new character. So, I don't assign existing characters to myself, XD but I come pretty close!"View
Tsubasa Chronicle Season 3?

"Seems Tsubasa Chronicle is joining the ranks of forever spanning animes such as Naruto and Pokemon. Though, forever spanning animes aren't all bad as long as the quality of the plot and characters aren't degraded for more episodes. Well, looks like I took a bad time to take a break from watching Tsubasa. If I don't catch up soon I'm gunna be WAY behind for a LONG LONG time..."View

What do you wish was real from manga?
2 years 9 months ago
"What do I wish was real from manga....? Toughie...but I have to agree that having the cool clothes and hairstyles accepted would be awesome. I often wanna copy some of the things anime characters do with their hair but sometimes I'm afraid of what people'll think of me so I only do mundane stuff...now to be able to do the cool wacky stuff....oh...what a dream come true. And magic! Can't forget magic! I wish magic and ninjas and things like that were real! That'd be great! ^^ The world would be perfect then! Well...almost. Can't have an anime world without those awesome anime boys can you? *laughs* so yep...3 things for me 1)clothes and hair 2) magic and the like and 3) the boys. XD; I'm so pathetic! *laughs* oh well, c'est la vie! "View
no more good animes
2 years 10 months ago
"I think there's still a lot of great animes out there, ripe for the picking. It depends on what genres you like and what you consider a good anime. I consider good character designs and music as a must have in a good anime. An series could have horrible music but a Oscar-quality story and I'd hate it and vice-versa. Just browse around and pick what seems appealing to you. That's all there is to it."View
Stars and voice acting?
2 years 10 months ago
"Well, I think it depends on how they can adapt and how well they are at projecting emotions with their voice. There are some people who are used to big budget productions that can be fine voice actors, especially in Japan. In America the entertainment industry seems to be more evenly cut into sections and there aren't too many crossovers. So my answer: Yes, but only if they can do a good job."View
Is anime that much better than manga?
2 years 10 months ago
"Anime has a lot of things manga doesn't(moving pictures, colors in every shot and voices) but manga also has something that most anime doesn't have(the fact the stories in manga come STRAIGHT from the manga-ka and there's no middle man) I like manga a bit more then anime. Mostly for portability reasons. Afterall, you can read manga at school but you can't watch anime."View

Studying For Finals
2 years 10 months ago
"Good studying tips eh? Well, I agree with staying away from the computer or television. The further away you are the less chance you'll be distracted. If you study near the computer cause you like listening to music(like I do) it might not be a bad idea to invest in a portable source of music you can take with you to a less distracting location. Something like a CD player, walkman, an iPod or other MP3 player works good, so does a portable stereo. But stay away from the radio, sometimes the announcers can be distracting. Other then that just find a nice quiet but comfortable location. I study in the reading room at my house because there's comfy chairs and it's very quiet so I don't get distracted. Also, I have a tip my grade 9 English teacher taught me. Study normally and after awhile (say, an hour) take a break (I'd say about half and hour would work for this) When you come back try to recall what you read. If you can perfectly remember what you read 3 times DO NOT study it any longer! It's been proving that if you concentrate 100% on something and you can recall it perfectly 3 times if you study anymore you'll actually start to FORGET what you studied! It really works! It helps you manage time cause then you know what you still have to study and what you can ignore.
Well, hope that helps, good luck!"

what do you perfer, watching anime on tv or on computer?
2 years 10 months ago
"Well, if I can buy the DVDs, and it has Japanese audio with English subtitles I prefer watching it on on my television(my lounge chair is more comfortable then my computer chair) but if it was the dub on television I'd watch it on my computer with Japaenese audio and subtitles. For me it's a question of whether or not I can get DVDs for it that determines if I watch it on the computer or infront of the television."View
