The saddest Anime !? Can something like that change your life

"Grave of the fireflies...god, that anime...i was deppressed for the rest of the day...
and it just opened my eyes to the reality we are in...
for example, we can complain about the silliest things and see them as a big deal...but...man, this kid had to steal just so he could feed his sister and in the end...in the end...
its just ugh!
and definately an eye opener to the true consequences of war
im just amazed at how beautiful imagery and themes (the fire flies...when they lit up the cave...that was beautiful...) were used to depict somthing so sad...
this may sound weird but i'm including death note...
its ending wasnt particularly as sad as it was disturbing and almost philosophical
the last things Ryuk said was (somthing close to) "it was fun while it lasted, we killed some boredom"
i just found that quite disturbing and sad...cuz, god, ALOT of people died!
good and bad guys..and to see all that "killing" considered as...fun...or a way to kill boredom...
i dont know how to say what im thinking that wel, but i found that idea pretty sad..."

i think maybe gravitation too, since the manga went on...
but agh! definately trinity blood! although its very sad that the novelist that wrote it died before completing it, but DEAR GOD, THE CLIFF HANGER!
and yami no matsuei's ending felt so...vague o.O
its an open ending, i'd say...WHICH NEEDS CLOSING! >_<

not only is that anime just...prettyfull and angsty and made of magical awsomeness...but it deserves to be completed...
the art style, the story line...i mean, till now, we dont get why the heck that school of fighters and sacrifices exist, not from the manga nor the anime!
so, hopefully, when the manga is finished, hopefully they'le make a second season...hopefully

do you try to learn japanese from watching episodes

"Eventually, ALOT of phrases become familiar! i've been watching anime for over....i dont know...2..3 years now... 99% of which is japanese audio with english subbs...although i cant speak it fluently or have enough japanese to have a decent conversation...but i've caught on alot of words (most of which are death threatsoh and i've reached a point where there are things i only know how to say in japanese!
like: gambate! (or "gambate ne!") (somthing like good luck, dont give up, cheering a person on...)
its amusing cuz i was once sitting next to a japanese couple in a theater and they were speaking to each other (in japanese) and i swear i recognised and could vaguely understand what they were saying, very vaguely!!
its like the subtitles were missing!! LOL!! XD"
