After months of work, chanelqueen17 has created a gorgeous scene of Alice and Oz from Pandora Hearts, using scans that didn't even feature both characters together. Even after spending so much time on matching the details of the characters to their new looks, chanelqueen17 didn't stop there and went all out on the background too! This wallpaper definitely needs to be seen!

"Quite a lovely sample.As mentioned those straight lines in the cloud should probably be replaces whit something else. maybe some more off the curly stuffs that are there in the background instead?
And BIGGER RESOLUTIONS! I have a screen off 1920x1200 so... well 1024x768 doesn't look to well in that. It's a lovely wallpaper as it is even if it's a quick work. The colours match each other quite nicely and complement each other in a whole.
Give it a little more work and it's a great wallpaper."

"Currently Intels highend cpu's are alot more energy efficient than AMD's, they run cooler and require less energy. AS I mentioned Phenom 9850 (2.5Ghz) is about as good as Q6600 performance/price, but Q6600 is better though in general, but by not much. But then you can aswell take a look at other than performance and price. Lets look at power usage, and heat and overclockability... Well Q6600 you can run upp to 3.5Ghz easily normally. at stock it draws less power than the Phenom 9850 and also runs cooler... Then you gotta get in your mind that Q6600 is old allready and has gotten replaced by newer and ewen better Intel cpu's! But there comes the prices. Well AMD is cheaper and that's why I went whit them.But all said doesn't apply everywhere, on every cpu. (just the one I took as example)
AMD has placed itself in low-budget and cool processors whit fair performance for cheap money whit Intel taking performance place but also in the more expensive category.
Intel are Crocks! My opinion but they take way to much money for their cpu's. Take a look at the increments in price of how measly extra Mhz... you get 100 more Mhz but you pay 50% more than the previous cpu >_>; AMD sticks whit quite fair ladder on price/performance so does Intel for most parts where AMD can still be there for the performance, but as soon as you go above what AMD can offer Intel goes and skyrockets in price/performance which I really don't like. Each damn cpu in a line costs as much as the other to produce! You get some better qwailty than some others but taking such huge margins for the little better ones... damn...

"I've just today made order for a upgrade on my old computer.The parts are as follow:
AMD Phenom X4 9750 (2.4Ghz)
Gigabyte GA-MA78GM-S2H m-ATX
Corsair TWIN2X 6400C4DHX 4096MB CL4 2x2Gb 800Mhz
PIONEER DVD±R/RW DL 20X DVR-215 SATA
I fine uppgrade for 666$ (or 4000kr in swedish currency 6kr about = 1$)
I could not have gotten such a good deal whit Intel. Sure Intel performs alot better but they are also alot more expensive!
The Q6600 costs as much as the AMD 9850 (2.5Ghz) and they perform alot like each other, AMD wins some Intel wins some others. So If I would have wanted to go Intel and gotten a Quad-core I would have needed to dish out alot more money on the cpu and motherboard and then also not get as mych functionality on the Intel mobo that the cheaper AMD mobo gives. Whit AMD I can settle whit the integrated if I want or run that temporarly for some time whitout beeing to bitchy about it. But whit Intel integrated... well it's just not upp to par what AMD has to offer in any way."

"I've worked a bit more on it now. Skipped out those circles, tried a bit whit it but didn't end well so I scraped that and started another idea whit taking out a few of the characters colors and using them a little in the circle things behind the character. Then I redid a bit of the character cutout. or rather cleaned aout some parts that shouldn't have been there.But there exists that grain texture that comes along whit scans. All in all it adds up to the character and makes it more nice in my opinion, though there are parts whit a little to much of that, will I need to go in whit the penicl/brush tool to correct some of it or should I leave the charater as it is now? And there is the thing does the grainy texture fit togteher whit the clean background? Should I try some little grainy effect as there is whit the character to make them fit each other more or should I try to make the character more clean instead?
I still need something more to it anyways excludig the above. Been thinking maybe some kind of text small and big in random order/sizes white/gray behind her also? Well I'll continue to work and think on this.

"Cleaned up the lines and added a bit more stuff. not much but something toward a idea I might have gotten. Still needs more work.Here is a quick update meanwhile:

(need to redo some stuff, the cutout of the character needs more work now at some places that were kinda I overpainted whit black but as colors went to grays I had to remove those overpaints, (some whitespots left that need editing in the hair, and add some other tuff aswell.))"

You should try to calibrate your laptop lcd to check if you can get those colors/gradients to show corectly. Took some time to get my monitor to show em but was worth the time.
The contrast hurts your eyes? hmm... Never felt that it hurt my eyes though. Maybe used to it. I like contrasts :)"

"Is so that I made a wall for myself to have myself but I felt quite happy whit it and thought I could aswell maybe get it uploaded. But it's really simplistic and that makes me think that it will not be passed.But I'm quite happy whit it. I like the simplistic walls whit about only the character and not much more. I can work more on it if I get some good idea what might be added but there isn't much coming to mind. I tried a bit of random stuff but felt the orginal simple one style was better. So I'll ask you people do you have some idea what might be added, or do you think it's good as it is?
I used a scan I found here of a little busters character if I remember right, cut it out and touched up the colors a bit. Made a ring thing gradient as background whit a slight gray gradient behind. So... damn easy and simple.

"First. Ello!So, found my way to this site as I was searching for some new wallpapers to my upcoming monitor change. just bought myself a new 24" Widescreen LCD, so I needed some good 1920x1200 resolution wallpapers. A person recomended this place from this other forum to look at.
Well I click the link here and see how great wallpapers this place has browsing a bit. I only came here to get wallpapers was my thought, but alas! I need to register to be able to download some of those great wallpapers.. Well what the hell I'll register so I can atleast downlaod stuff. Let me say again this place has some of the best anime wallpapers I've found collected at one place.
So of I start downloading all the ones I would conside using as my new wallpaper...

I just wanted myself some WALLPAPERS!
Well atleast I got myself 1 great wallpaper before it stoped me. Love it by the way. (probably end up used a few months atleast(I don't change it often))
I frecvent a few forums allready and feel not so happy beeing forced to join one more becouse I want wallpapers of all reasons.
And this place requires quite alot for just those walls. And I'm usually a lurker and don't come out unless it really sparks my interest, not making things fun as I'm required to contribute alot if I want these so great wallpapers!
So what now? ...I'll join this place!
So lets introduce myself.
I'm a 20 year old University Student in sweden. Learning to become a computer game programmer. I'm still a newbie to programming but damn when I start coding I sitt there and don't do much else. (why I decided for this stuff)
So what am I doing here? I wanted wallpappers... Anime ones...
I have this quite huge interest in anime and manga and watch loads of anime and read a bit of manga.
In the 4 years since I was introduced to anime I have soon accumulated 400 series, movies or ovas to my anime seen list(quite a few of em are ongoing or such though)
But still... thats alot.
I have a side interest to draw once in a while or to thinker whit images a bit when there might be a need for it. But nothing much. Though I allways have wanted to expand this interest alot more though just never gotten around to it.
Was this interest that decided a bit that I'll join this place aswell. As it might get my ass moving on this department. Maybe making a few wallpapers. Made a few in past but they aren't anything one would like to throw around. Then there is the stuff required at University, I'm required to get to learn Photoshop and Illustrator in a minor way for some courses and projects. Allways good for the programmer to know what the graphic people do etc and the other way around. So at start we have a quite wide perspective on what we learn, one beeing making a few images in Photoshop and Some vector graphics in illustrator. These particular courses have ended by now but sparked my new interest to do some stuff in said programs.
So if it's fine I'll search for some inspiration from here. (_/).."
