This wallpaper captures the urban essence that proliferated the art of Ghost in the Shell in every incarnation of the series. Phill does an amazing job of capturing a moment of surrealism.
While there are a few, stray building angles and shadows, you find that your eye forgives the minor details and instead focuses on the overall scene that is larger than life, with lights trailing off into infinity.

"Did you try a smart blur with the luminosity blending mode on top of another copy of the stock with noise>median? That usually fixes up the quality of my pics somewhat. You can try out other blending modes besides luminosity as well. "View

"The concept is very interesting, but it seems like a real task of straining the eyes in order to read all that text... Maybe shorten it to only the most important lines? "View
My first walllpaper...

"I think the font itself seems a little distracting (with the way it's placed)... Also, instead of saying "we will see us again", you should type "we will see each other again". "View

What type genre you prefer
1 year 10 months ago
"I prefer in-depth and expansive RPGs. I mainly like games with deep plots, but the gameplay is a factor too. Action RPGs like Kingdom Hearts are great for reflex skills and sheer fun. Games like Final Fantasy and Xenogears/Xenosaga are great for the story element. "View
The Worst Thing Happened While Playing A Game

"I've had so many power-outs it's not even funny. Since I live on the coast, the people inland get priority over electricity during the summer for air conditioners, so I get many brown-outs. However, the worst experience for me was when I was leveling all the dress spheres for FFX-2 in the secret dungeon (beneath the mainland temple that I cannot recall at the moment) for several hours, and then completely out of nowhere I get a disk read error! I was so pissed. "View
How did you get your screen name
1 year 10 months ago
"I made up my screen name 7 years ago in 6th grade when I invented and named an original character of mine. It was originally "Nyesha", but it changed to "Nysha" because the "e" seems to throw off the pronunciation. It's pronounced Nye-shuh but with the "e" in there, some people think it's "Nye-ee-shuh". Thus, I changed the spelling for clarification. "View

"Interesting concept. I think it would look better if Vash were nudged a bit more to the right. The cat seems to throw me off though... Hmm, maybe put in some more geometric shapes in the background accompanied by more dynamic (varied) colors? "View
need opinion from the regulars!

"Just by looking at it, the person with blue hair doesn't really seem to fit in with the overall mood of the wall. His/her expression throws me off. Also, I think it would look better if you added more ethereal/mystical brush effects for the background instead of the obvious extrude filter. The mood I see from this wall so far looks calming and peaceful, so why not go for some subtle, soft, and suggestive background effects? If you use photoshop why not experiment with the masking technique to softly blend in the red-haired guy with the background?"View

"Thank you for the kind welcome. Although, it's not just the people here who are awesome, but their artistic skills are breathtaking, and the sheer number of quality scans is amazing! I can't wait to start exercising my photoshop skills on some of these gorgeous scans. "View
How do you prefer to watch anime?

"I prefer subbed. The japanese voice actors seem to put more effort or something into their respective roles. Usually the dubbed voices are hard on my ears and will sometimes detract from the anime quality itself. "View
what is/are the elements that attracts you to watch the anime?
1 year 10 months ago
"For me I'll just watch whatever, but to really draw me in, the anime needs a deep plot, memorable music, dynamic characters, and just an overall aura of sophistication. Any anime that relates to the issues of human natures will win a plus. I don't really consider the art too much of a big deal, because the art could be pretty but the anime overall terrible. The dynamic characters need to be able to relate to the viewers on a personal level too. "View

"I agree that the background is too simple. Also, the orange is hard on my eyes... Since she has a gun, why not some grunge brushwork? The stencil font seems a bit too clean - maybe roughen it up a bit or change it to something more worn-looking?"View

"I like this new one better composition-wise, but the main thing I see is that the stock is a bit pixely. I like the background effects but I agree that the stock and it don't flow together particularly well... The font effects fit more with the background but the font style itself seems a little boring in my opinion. I'd add some more foreground effects (like snow mist?) to balance the depth."View
I would like some feedback on this wallpaper
1 year 10 months ago
"It seems very bright and the main stock seems a little blurry to me. Also, there seems to be a "pattern" effect noticeable in the upper clouds area...and the black outline on the banner section has an inconsistency in thickness. I don't want you to think I'm harsh, but I like the overall direction this wallpaper is going nonetheless. "View

"Hello everyone, I'm Nysha and I am thoroughly impressed with what this site has to offer. I've had photoshop for about two years now and I like to make forum signatures for fun, although I have yet to start making wallpapers. As a sum-up I am an artist and a scientist, with a biology major at the University of California San Diego (I'm still in college by the way). Let's see...my other interests include astronomy, meteorology, painting, glaciers, redwoods, Final Fantasy, Full Metal Alchemist, and Kingdom Hearts. Well that's just a bit about me. You may see me giving constructive criticsm on other people's work or even posting my own work (eventually!) in Session Zero for feedback. I hope to have a lot of fun here and I look forward to meeting you all. "View
