This wallpaper captures the urban essence that proliferated the art of Ghost in the Shell in every incarnation of the series. Phill does an amazing job of capturing a moment of surrealism.
While there are a few, stray building angles and shadows, you find that your eye forgives the minor details and instead focuses on the overall scene that is larger than life, with lights trailing off into infinity.

Too much additions to the anime
4 months 1 week ago
"I don't want Naruto to end up like Inuyasha, where the producers decided to stop animating it after episode 167 or something T_T But at this rate, with another season of fillers coming up, I can see more and more fans giving up the anime for the manga, which will result in less money for the producers, AND finally in them giving up altogether without realizing it's their stupid fault >.>And since they have the filler characters in the new opening, it's painfully obvious that it's going to be the Bounto arc from Bleach thingy all over again -- a few months of fillers at least.
Do. Not. Want *cries*"

Hating Orihime?
4 months 1 week ago
"Well, I can't say I hate her, but I definitely don't like her, either. The whole "damsel in distress" part was lame, and she didn't do very much in the story apart from that except for being depressive from time to time. Like, "OMG I'm so weak I can't do anything, I'll only get in people's way, oh, what should I do?" And then, she went and trained in Soul Society, after which she got tricked by Ulquiorra. End of story.I probably would've liked her more if she weren't that much of an air-head. And if her breasts weren't that big :)"

"When I hang around the forums, I usually have multiple threads open in different tabs. I type fast, so I can make several [consistent] posts in a short amount of time. However, after I post once, I have to wait "at least 2 minutes" before posting again... [I get the "Flood detected" notification screen]. And that's a little frustrating. It's not my place to question the usefulness of this feature, but maybe you could at least reduce the time from 2 minutes to 1 minute at least? *puppy eyes* "

Nightwish
11 months 2 weeks ago
"Hmm ~ *scratches head* I actually like their new album, but I agree with the people who say that Nightwish definitely doesn't sound like Nightwish any more T_T Of course, the most radical difference is the vocalist. Anette sounds a lot like the vocalist from Within Temptation [forgot her name ^_^'] - her voice is much more higher and 'girly' than Tarja's, and it's less fitted for the kind of songs that Nightwish do. I would've preffered a vocalist with a voice closer to Tarja's.Then, there's the instrumental background - which, again, reminds me of Within Temptation a lot. It's lighter, you can hardly feel that this is a gothic metal band anymore :(
But I'll still stick with Nightwish XD Heck, they were the first metal band I ever listened to, and they must've had a pretty hard time with all the changes they had to go true. I'll stick with them all the way, like a true fan :)"

Is Bleach back on fillers??
1 year 1 month ago
"Ditto for that. Or, at least, they could spend more than five minutes planning the actual story of the fillers and try to come up with something that won't annoy fans even more. At least some of the Naruto fillers were fun >.>
I stopped watching Bleach and will resume once this new filler arc is over with...
Oh, and on a side note, I just wish they'd kill off Chicken & Co. [yes, I'm talking about Ririn, Nova and Cloud]. They're not canon characters and they don't do much beasides using up valuable screen time >.>"

What anime has the best fashionable characters?
1 year 6 months ago
"First and foremost would be Bleach - like you said, Tite Kubo really does like to come up with new outfits, not only for Chad or Inoue, but generally for just about all the characters in the real world [my personal favorites are Ichigo and Rukia's outfits]. And let us not forget the extensive color illustrations from some manga chapters, which show the main cast in all sorts of exotic outfits. Also, I love Misa's outfits in Death Note, and Raito's outfits are pretty much OK, too... but apart from that, there's not really any fashion highlights in the series.
I also like the outfits in Trinity Blood because of their rich details and exquisite colors... although they aren't quite what you'd describe as 'fashionable' ^_^'"

How would you like to die
1 year 6 months ago
"I'd like to die in some sort of a heroic way... maybe protecting a friend, or saving a bunch of people, or whatever. Although, preferably, there should be little to no pain... ^_^'But, like Wordplay said, when the time comes, our choices don't really matter much, do they? "

How Did Your Parents Meet??
1 year 6 months ago
"My parents were both teachers at the same school. Dad was married, and so mum had to wait for ten years until he realized that his other wife was a b*tch [and trust me, she was WAY beyond the definition of the word b*tch] and dump her. Then they got married and took another two years or so to shake off dad's crazy ex-wife, who still tried to come between them. After that, they lived happily ever after :)...until I became a teenager, anyway :)"

The people around you
1 year 6 months ago
"Hm. If I were to refer only to high-school students with high income, then there's really not much that can be done about it, since this income comes from their parents. Most of these rich high-school students are a severe pain in the behind, but I've learned to ignore them and move on. *You* can't move forward in life if all you do is moan and groan about how hard life is for you and how easy it is for others. These high-school guys who have nearly any material belonging they want rapidly become bored and therefore lack the enthusiasm and the dedication that middle-class people have. I think that people with less income, who can benefit from the products of their own work rather than take everything for granted, are happier in the end. Even though some might not realize it.Generally speaking, I feel that some of the people with ridiculously high incomes do not deserve them by far. Take Hollywood actors, football players or models, for instance. It's ridiculous that they receive so much money, when they don't actually do much work for it. But then again, this is how nowadays human society works (and I'm talking about global society here). People need idols, idols are expensive. It sucks, but it'll go on like this for a while. Nothing lasts forever tho'... maybe when I'll be a grandmother things will change :)"

Newbie with a Wallpaper
1 year 7 months ago
"All righty... where should I start?First off, I really think you should try vectoring, it's not as hard as it looks. Vectorage has some pretty cool and easy tutorials you can follow to get started and improve your techniques.
Now, for the wallpaper. Let's start with Hughes' picture on the right. If I'm not mistaking, you inverted the colors on it. I'd recommend you use a photo frame kind of effect - you know, take the original picture, vector it, add a photo frame [you can find tutorials on the net easily for that], use a sepia filter and you're done.
As for the background, again, vectoring the image would help greatly.
Finally, if you want to give your entire wallpaper an old photo sort of look, you can make a new layer on top of all others, fill it with a gradient with several shares of brown, and then set the blending mode to either 'Color' or 'Hue', depending in which looks better. Also, you can try adding some grunge brushes.
Good luck!"

do u get enough sleep??

"I've got university classes in the morning, usually from around 8 to around 2 in the afternoon, but sometimes to around 5... and then I take a nap for two or three hours and work most of the night on my other projects. help...

"Try archiving the file with WinRar or WinZip and making volumes of 700 MB each [that's around the size of an average CD]. To do that, right click on the file, select 'Add to archive...', then in the Volume Size dropdown list select 700 MB. Then burn each volume on a separate CD and when you need to open the archive copy all volumes on your HDD and extract the file. This should help... good luck!"View
Problem with a Windows process (drwtsn32) ~ HELP!
1 year 8 months ago
"I've got an AMD Athlon XP 1900+, 512 DDRAM, a 60 GB hard-drive and [unfortunately] Windows XP. The problem is, evey slaggin' time I open the computer, a Windows process called drwtsn32 kicks in and both uses my CPU to around 70-80% AND creates a gigantic loc file on my HDD. Last time I deleted that log, its size was 5.50 GB. I'm not kidding. How can I kill this process (stop it from starting automatically)? I've tried using msconfig - it doesn't work because it's not in the list. I've tried a registry clean - it still doesn't work. Help...?"

Why does everyone like Firefox?
1 year 8 months ago
"Strictly from a web designer's point of view, I like Firefox's ability to read transparent PNGs. At one point, I made a website which used several layered PNG images with transparency. In Firefox it worked OK, while IE still showed the original background color o.O I couldn't fix that no matter how hard I tried.I also like Firefox because of its integrated downloads manager which has the resume/retry option [IE doesn't have that, and many times my downloads crashed because of some server error at 90% or above and there was nothing I could do but start'em over >_>].
Finally, Firefox is more user-friendly and easier to use. Tabbed browsing and integrated keyboard shortcuts are a wonder [Ctrl + T to open a tab, middle-click or Ctrl + W to close a tab, Ctrl + F5 to clear the cache, Ctrl + Shift + Del to clear all private data etc., etc.] Not to mention IE crashes a lot more frequently, takes longer to load or to pages to the HDD, and is a lot safer. Firefox all the way! XD
LE: I nearly forgot Firefox's built in spell checker [versions 2.0 and above]. It's extremely useful for someone whose native language is not English."

It doesn't use up too many system resources, it offers detailed information for each torrent you download and all in all, I think it's pretty good. You might want to give it a shot ;) "View
