"Thank you kazemizuhi and Longbow for your help! It turns out I was looking for the wrong info, but with your help I'm now on the right track. My desktop is about 2 years old, so i probably will have to buy a new motherboard to go with the processor.

Yes, once i have the money, which may not be until the end of July, I think i may get the AMD Phenom 9600 here, an EVGA 8800GTX, and a GIGABYTE brand motherboard ( here)

I think that'll handle Windows Vista and Crysis just fine. And hopefully technology won't surpass the mighty 8800 GTX (the 8800 Ultra not included) within at least the next year and a half.

"It doesn't really bother me, i mean, we're all guilty of typos at some point or another. When i see bad grammar, i just assume it's a kid who's excited or someone who doesn't speak English as a first language. Sometimes it's funny, like the ongoing "Can i has recon?" for Halo 3. Other times it's just stupid like "I am teh beset playr at teh Halo 3!!11!one." Personally, i try to focus more on the content of the message rather than its form."

"I don't think dreams can be prophetic - or maybe they can, but mine haven't been. I do agree with the idea that dreams can be used for us to analyze ourselves, as well to analyze others. As i was typing this, i decided that, IMO, it is better for us to analyze our own dreams than to have others analyze them for us. I think it is more fun trying to make the connection between the flying toast and the fact that i don't eat breakfast. What may be significant for us may be totally absurd and meaningless to others. I don't have too many nightmares, but when i do it is always (ALWAYS) aliens. Not generic aliens, i mean like Aliens vs. Predator. The Alien. Sometimes i'm just being chased by one, sometimes i'm fighting off dozens of them, somtimes i get killed by them. The only connection i can make as of yet is that i first saw Alien when i was too young (about 6 yrs. old). Anyhoo, i'll stop here before i get off topic."

Do you exercise?

"Well, i don't do what one might call *real* exercise, like working out in a gym or anything like that, but i do a fair amount of walking. I also do sets of crunches/sit-ups in my room. Whenever i'm watching TV or playing a video game i do crunches during commerical breaks or between levels. It's not much, but i suppose it's better than nothing."

Global Warming

"By the time global warming reaches its climax, chances are that none of us will be alive to worry about it. Yes, then that spawns the whole "we need to worry about it now for future generations" argument. Sure, ice caps are melting a bit. I doubt they'll be completely gone by 2088 (when i'll be 100 years old, and i seriously doubt i'll live that long).

Be it truth or not, i find it hard to take the word of people like Michael Moore and Al Gore. Yes, their movies and arguments have merit, but they just seem so full of themselves that i can't bear to pay attention to them. People like Brad Pitt are full of shit too.

Brad pitt asks for 150 million dollars to build houses in Louisiana. Between him and Angelina Jolie, i'm sure they can pull together a *measley* 150 million. damn celebrities are richer than anybody, and they still don't like to spend their money."

"For me, chewing gum while reading/writing/studying is just like tapping my fingers. It's just a mindless, twitchy activity to spend extra energy. Although, when studying, i eat pretezels instead of chew gum. However, i do chew gum while driving, or working (at my job @ Target), or in class."

"Perhaps "remake" was the wrong word. I agree with haruhis2kyon that calling them adaptations would be a better description. I didn't mean to imply i dislike SEED or 00 in any way, i think they were/are both good shows. I think i'm maybe expecting too much from wanting series as unique different as Gundam Wing and, say, G-Gundam. What do you think?

"I want to upgrade my desktop. Naturally, i want to go with an Nvidia 8800GTX. I would also like to get an AMD Quad-core processor.

My question is this: How do i find out if my motherboard is compatible with the new AMD processor? Or how can i go about finding out which motherboards work with which processors? I've tried searching on the internet, but i can't seem to find any relevant information."

WoW ftw!

"I've successfully quit WoW. Twice. And i'm still playing. Okay, not really a "victory in rehab" story, but i can go several months without playing. My first and best character was a level 55 night elf druid at the time i quit (the first time).

For my second WoW outing i played on a free private server an ended with a level 30 human paladin. That's about when my dad promised me a new car if i got good grades in my college classes, so WoW went bye-bye again. I hope to resurrect my original legit WoW account over the summer once i've got nothing to do but work."

Gran turismo 5

"I don't own a ps3, but if i did i'd definitely buy GT5. I bought GT3 for my ps2, and i love it. Admittedly i never got GT4, but I absolutely love the photorealistic graphics of the newest game, and i know i can always count on Gran Turismo for the best car handling physics in any video game. My only hope is that they have Lamborghinis and (dare to dream) the Bugatti Veyron."

COD4 is SO fun

"My roommate is cool enough to let me use his 360, so we take turns playing on xbox live. I haven't had the chance to play through campaign myself, but i did watch him play the final Act of it. If you want to take a break from Halo 3 then CoD 4 is by far the best choice. Weapons are awesome (we're both partial the Barret Sniper Rifle) and i think the perks and UAV/Air Support/Helicopter are much better than Halo 3's equipment. Campaign also has the best story of any shooter based in modern day."

"Well, i know i'm just one of about 2 billion, but i really recommend Windows Vista, if you computer can handle it. Excellent UI, and user friendly to boot. If an error occurs, Vista tells you what happened, and offers tips about how to fix said problem. Windows XP doesn't do that. (at least my version doesn't). The Vista sidebar is an awesome tool, displaying memos, the weather, a calendar, clock, and/or some other gadgets."

Vista Vs. XP

"I hear all kinds of complaints about how Vista is bugged, and is having big problems, and to wait for a service pack. I have only 1 problem with Vista, and it's not a huge one. It's when i'm copying data from a DVD-R to the harddrive. Sometimes i get an error message saying that windows needs to close, and that of course interrupts the data copying. but that's it. No viruses, all programs run smoothly, and a great UI to boot. I have no problems with XP, but after seeing how much better Vista is, i don't think i'll be going back.

"Well, i haven't been hit on by another guy, but it happened to my Dad when he was dating my Mom. They were in an airport waiting for their flight, and my Dad went to get a magazine and a snack. He here's from behind him in a deep, manly voice, "Hey baby, how are you doin?" He tells me that when he turned around, it was this 6'5" black cross dresser. My Dad said "High, i gotta get back to my girlfriend now." And that was it. It seems like one of those awkward-at-the-time-but-later-it's-hilarious moments."
