Actually, no we would not. If all of humanity had to live underwater, then the human race would go extinct because all humans cannot breathe underwater. If evolution were to ever take place, all humans would have to be able to breathe underwater before being put into water and that way we would be able to breed.

quite false really, did Whales first have gills ? They dont really have that before they went down did dolphins have feet that adapt into fins? I dont think so, that was evolution.

In biology class, we were studying evolution and I asked my friends if a person had to live under water for years, can he/she develop fins, web, gills, the whole deal. And my friend said that wouldn't happen because humans never adapt to an environment, they change the environment to adapt to them. I figured this was true and it's really what we've been doing to the world. What do you think? Agree? Disagree? why?

Deja-vu kinda creeps me out! It's so hard to understand because it's so mysterious. I really wonder what the cause is. I know there's theories, but man, I'd like to know! It's weird when other's say it's because of dreams, but what are the purposes of dreams? Are they a way of your brain filing away thoughts and experiences that happened that day or a vision of something in another life or maybe a prophetic vision? Deja-vu really makes me feel weird. If it was some type of mechanism to "remember the future" I don't think it works too well! I've always had Deja-vu after I've made a mistake...like right when I choose something that was wrong, etc. I so Deja-vu! It's just one of those anomalies...like how you can walk through the woods and get home and see scratches on your legs but can't remember how you got them. Your nerves were over-ridden or your nerves were just doing something else. It just happens. But still, it's intriguing!

Recently I have been facinated by lightning on how it works.I guess because its been raining all week.As a child I have been scared of it. now that I know more,I know what precautions to take.Three years ago, I saw a lightning strike an electric post. It wasn't raining or windy,just cloudy.It hit really fast.Its like a flash of fire hitting an electric post. after a second, all I see is little smoke coming from the post.what I'm into is sprites. Im faccinated by it but only know little about it.

Depends on what kind of power... as in like those guyz from DBZ or power like a corrupt government official? Anyway...i would choose power...cuz i can obtain money easily (yes especially if i was a corrupt official or some guy with crazy strength and can fly). You cant obtain power easily with money. And money will run out fast... I always yearn for power...nothing is enough...

Actually, there is a point to having strict firewalls in school. Like a member mentioned before, schools are very vunerable to lawsuits by parents. You may not visit porn sites and 4chan, but that does not mean that every student won't. There are always that one kid who visits the dirty sites and the parents found out and blames the school for not filtering the Internet, therefore, allowing their kid to be able to visit the bad sites in the first place corrupting their kid's minds. It sounds farfetched but it works and I bet you, in every lawsuit against a school, the school is always at a disadvantage. Also, along with the bad kids, there's always the clueless ones who ends up visiting sites that causes viruses in the computer. So the school isn't necessarily limiting the "good" kids, they are limiting the "bad" and "clueless" ones.

I know public schools (K-12) filter their Internet a lot, I've been through it. I don't know if universities and colleges has the limits as well. The university I go to doesn't, but that doesn't mean the guy next to me is going to start littering around porn sites mind you. And there's a limit as to what we can do on the computer, the free access is only to the Internet, we can't install programs obviously.

Just consider it a privilege to be able to use Internet in school anyway. They don't have to offer it, they're the ones paying the bills every month. You should be visiting educational sites while at school and in class instead of visiting Gaia. :)

oh my friends say im super lame & super blur & dumb. super slow too. takes me like minutes to finally understand a joke which others find instantly funny. then again, it's not obvious that i dont understand it cause once someone says that it's a joke, i usually just laugh ( i dont know why ). ya my friends always complain that i LFNR ( laugh for no reason ) but fortunately for my there's another person on our group who's more prone to LFNR so im spared most of the friendly pranks. ya but what i cant escape is them calling me "gollum" ( a character from lord of the rings ) because i somehow look like it. but i tell you i dont! their eyes have problems! im not so bald & horrible! oh & they say im quite rude too. ya despite my usual patience, i occationally explode due to some irritating reason. but it takes quite alot to piss me off like that...cause im so slow i need time to react & build up some anger. blut & tactless ya. hey but look on the bright side, at least im honest & telling the truth & not hidding anything xp

Not every game can be turned into a motion picture as not all games have depth and meaning behind it. But there are a few games which could be turned into movies. I think that:
'Prince of Persia' pt I(1), II(2), and i(3) could be turned into movies.

The Command & Conquer series excluding the Red Alert and Generals part could be turned into movies.

Metal Gear Solid series could definitely be turned into good movies as you guys already have said.

Unreal Tournament series could be turned into movies but the story has to be changed a little bit.

Even Farcry could be turned into a movie.

Max Payne series could be turned into movies.

The GTA series could be turned into movies, again like you guys said.

Need for Speed series could be turned into movies, it could become like those F&F type movies.

Tom Clancy's: Ghost Recon series could be turned into movies.

Final Fantasy series could be turned into movies but i don't know how many sequels the movie would have!

Now, these are the games that i have either played or reviewed which i have mentioned here but there could be lots of other games which could be turned into movies. And movies on a few games like Doom and Dead or Alive have already been made, so nowadays games do hold the potential to become movies.

It's possible to have a life with little or no porn. It's not really a bad thing to watch, but at the same time, it's not really provoking you to watch porn. I mean, if you know the consequence of sex and love, then don't worry about your friends talking about porn. Tell them the consequence of what will happen when you have unprotected sex, then they'll change to a different topic.

Myself, I would want to be a rock. Because unlike people they're not always trying to change themselves. They are content being exactly what they are. And they don't think. This life my brain never flippin' shuts up. Sometimes I think it would be nice just to drive an icepick through my skull or something just to get some peace for a while. So being a rock would be a relief.

A friend of mine would like to be a blue whale. They're so gigantic nothing ever bothers them (except if they really do fight giant squid, and that would be a cool epic battle). Plus they can eat just by opening their mouths. Ahhh, yum dinner! Just like that.

Girls just don't understand. Why do girls expect me to go shopping and stuff with them and make me pay for them while i can not expect them to play five minutes of video games with me?? when they go shopping wih their friends, its ok but when i play games and lan for like an hour shes like... WTFOMGBBQ YOU DONT SPEND ENOUGH TIME WITH ME!!!

Seriously, is wasting all your time at the mall any better than me "wasting" my time on game? i mean at least im not spending money every time i go! Gaming is more economically and environmentally friendly (provided that you drive/take a bus to the mall). So why can't you girls adapt a little bit to our personal habits and we can do so as well.

Don't just be like.. NO DONT PLAY GAMES! SPEND TIME WITH ME!! when you just go out with your friends anyways... sheesh girlfriends like these are the main reason why i lurk in forums like these in the first place. This world is sexist and this a horrible double standard placed on men and women.

BTW if you need a book with the theme of sexism and double standard and the negative effects that occur, read Lives of the Saints by Nino Ricci. I had to read it in English. I didn't finish it.

Heh, this is an amusing issue. Sounds like you just needed to vent a bit. As most people said, yes, this certainly has an echo of familiarity to most men. Men will have their toys, and ladies will have theirs. Fact of life. Certainly, you may be the lucky dog to find a companion who shares the bulk of your interests, but for most of us, we just have to learn to compromise. What you need to do here, or failed to do here, is what I call "laying down the law." The law here would be to preach compromise and understanding. She needs to be clear that she can do her things, and you can do yours, and one should not start griping about the other's interests. You MIGHT accompany her to the mall, even though she knows you don't like it, but in return (and don't start blatantly reminding her she owes you) she can either try a game with you, or even better, leave you alone for a bit. Maybe you can even curry other kinds of favors outta it...

My last girlfriend was quite the shopper, if we visited another city, I could count on a day of touring the shopping malls with her. Even if it's the same damn stores that we have at malls back home!! (like Bath and Body Works, Express, etc) At one store, I glumly took a seat near the front, and looked to either side of me, and saw other guys doing the same thing, lol! I made a joke and we all chuckled.

Well, good luck in your relationship and if there cannot be a compromise, you two probably won't last very long. In that case, I'd reccomend that you try to keep the relationship as it started rather than trying to elevate it to something more if you want to keep your...options open.

like they say "five fingers aren't equal" so not every women/girl is the same,
and you can't find a right person or friend in one day, month or year. i believe
in love so much, but i dont have a boy friend, strange isn't it, i have a few friends,
and so far they are all my AP friends, i dont have a friend where i live, i like to live
my life peacefully, rather than be iordered around, get angry, always arguing etc...

and people who like to make girl friends well they have to deal with them, what i
mean is that what sort of a girl friend you have, which doesn't care about your
feelings or needs, it means you dont have a relationship of understanding at all,
if you want to choose someone there should be some understanding and mutual
respect, i you want your life to be peaceful, but that is upto,

atleast don't try to blame
girls for this sort of problems, this something you need to figure out for your self

Perhaps you should go outside, or like talk with someone? Suddenly feeling depressed isn't really a good sign ya know? Perhaps some Grand Theft Auto (the video game that is) will do you some good. You know, blow off some steam by blowing off someone's head. Ho ho ho. *cough* Anyways, if you're feeling low, try doing something that cheers you up? Just watch some Nick Swardson or Russel Peters and you'll forgot about everything, then share some of the comedy with your friends. Perhaps some ice cream will do you good, can't say no to that...unless your allergic or something. Hmmm, you should really try doing something though to keep your mind ocuppied and not stress over such things.

I like the way that anime can bring certain stories to life in ways that you cannot do through live acting. Well, not without tremendous cost to special effects. Even with special effects, you would be hard pressed to find an actor who can wield a sword as tall as he is with one hand like Gats from Berserk, heh. There are even stories that are true to life, such as Grave of the Fireflies that are really moving, though if that were done with real actors, it would be even more depressing.
