"I loved this series, albeit short-lived. I'm really hoping though that Funimation will acquire the rights to the sequel OVA called "Akane Maniax" which focuses on Haruka's little sister Akane. It's only a three-episode shot, but the intensity more than makes up for it. Hopefully this'll lead into a MuvLuv OVA someday down the road. ;)"

"I loved both the Azumanga Daioh anime and manga series, so reading Yotsuba!& has been a real treat. More along the traditional manga lines, rather than the 4-panel strip, but still the same passion and intensity as Azumanga. I'm glad that ADV is finally continuing releasing this."

" Lost Universe: The dub was way over the top, along the lines of slayers. It worked in Slayers, but it didn't work in Lost Universe.

Escaflowne: Way too much shouting in that series. Enough to burst my eardrums.

Zeta Gundam: They should have had the original voices of Char, Amuro, Bright, and others reprise their roles. Made watching Gundam, then Zeta Gundam, then Char's Counterattack very confusing as their voices changed in the middle, then changed back."

To be honest, I thought that the 2nd raid was pretty bad. I thought Fummofu was best out of all three seasons so far.

The difference between TSR, and the other two series for that matter, was it's low level of comedy, focusing on the drama and the action instead. The first series had this element down pat. It had the right level of comedy, action, drama, and intensity. When Fumoffu? came out, it focused on the comedy element of the story. When TSR came out, since the comedy was focused on, it was time to focus on the rest of the equation. If there were to be another series to be released, I'd like for it to follow the original format, with all the elements combined into one series.

"The Second Raid has no Christmas setting at all, nor does the OVA. The OVA is centered around Tessa, set after the events of TSR. I'm not sure where this Christmas thing is coming from, unless it's a recently announced OVA set during Christmas?

It's already licensed by ADV Films. You can get it in either the single discs, or the new Thinpak edition, but the thinpak doesn't have any of the extras in it. It's been out for a couple years now.

"You can't go wrong with a mecha series, where the lead character is an unexperienced pilot with angst. It's happened in Full Metal Panic, Gasaraki, Gundam, Nadesico, Evangelion, and more that I can't name right now. But somehow during the course of the series, they usually meet a girl, and the angst slowly begins to slip away. In the case of Shinji in Evangelion, you have to decide which girl made it slip away though. Misato, Asuka, or Rei. ;)

Anime DVD price

"I don't think that Anime DVDs here in America are too much. Now with series such as FLCL, that only have 2 episodes per disc, then I think that $29.99 is expensive. But as has been said, for $29.99 and 4-5 episodes including special features, then I think that's an acceptable asking price. Some of the complete collections lately, have been devoid of special features, so I get them individually. If they've got an artbox, I pick that one up. If you go to places like DeepDiscountDVD.com, you can get discs for a very reasonable amount. Especially if they've been out for a little while.

I'm working on getting Initial D, and instead of paying $20 per disc, you pay $12 per disc there. You just have to shop around for the good bargains. :)

if you really don't want to then go abstract. patterns, random things, whatever--give your imagination some leash to run around. ^^

My imagination is running around, which is why once I'm finished with this one scan, and get it implemented, I think you'll be impressed. But it's a large scan, so it's going to take me a little longer to extract and clean. I'll post it once I've got it finished. :)

As a matter of fact, I'm going to use this scan and I'm working on extracting Luna from the pic. Then, if I got this worked out right, I'm going to see if I can get her leaning up against the Luna that I already have in the wall. I thought that would be unique, and I haven't seen it done before anywhere else. So it will definitely be different. We'll see what happens. ;)

I still say I'm rooting for you to pick up polygonal lasso/pen tool and fix/vector your own zaku for the bg. give it a shot! i did...for both of my walls that i submitted here at AP. and trying has its rewards.

Unfortunately, it's beyond what little capabilities I have. I've struggled to get as far as I have on my Luna paper. For the most part, I have no artistic talent. And I'm learning as I go. To date, this is my best effort.

Your signature should actually be on the bottom, b/c that way, it will be hidden behind the taskbar when someone uses it.
Since you have problems with making bgs, you could always look at other walls to get influence. But you shouldn't copy them exactly, even when you follow a tut, you could always tweak it a bit.

I'll move it to the bottom when I post my next attempt. And I have been looking at tutorials, and they do keep coming out different. But as I said, it's proving quite difficult.

The bg is too plain, you need to add more stuff to it. I don't really know what you should add though, just try different things and see what you like.

I agree with you. But I've been having difficulty coming up with anything to add to it. I think my greatest weakness in the walls I've created is background composition.
