After months of work, chanelqueen17 has created a gorgeous scene of Alice and Oz from Pandora Hearts, using scans that didn't even feature both characters together. Even after spending so much time on matching the details of the characters to their new looks, chanelqueen17 didn't stop there and went all out on the background too! What is happiness for you, and what do you think is the key to happiness?


I've read though everyone's answers and they've all made good and valid points. Anime & manga plots tend to always focus on the desire for happiness. I think the reason "Happiness" is so elusive, is because that's not the purpose of life.

Serving and truly caring & loving others in my experience is the key to happiness. Whether its simply going out to have pizza with friends, giving the perfect gift or just listening to or connecting with family members, friends, kids, strangers &/or pets or animals.

We desire the perfect "happiness" without any sorrows, troubles and injustices. But unfortunately, human nature is broken. Perhaps instead of trying to find the perfect "happiness" in our life, how can we genuinely seek to bring happiness to others?"

Why do guys prefer long hair on girls or is this an incorrect generalization?

On the flip side, girls, what do you think about short hair on your fellow females? I've heard that some girls think that a girl with short hair is praised because she's not competition. I think some girls really do look better with short hair. I think it looks healthier and suits their face and/or personality better.


In a nutshell, my answer is both Yes and No. Its really about personal freedom & choice for the wearer & observer. I believe its also more of an emotional response being part of human nature.

To elaborate, I have long hair and like it that way. Its actually easier for me to take care of than when I had shorter hair, (No worrying about needing to get it cut. When I'm working or doing chores its easy to put it up in a bun or ponytail.) And I've usually received compliments from guys on my hair, while I get lectures from gals how I should donate my hair to charity. Odd but true. But, the guys who've complimented are usually family, friends, work friends, (or little children). The younger girls like to play hairdresser, which is always fun for us both.

It took me years to grow it out and yes I'm proud of it. Do I think I'm better than other girls who have shorter hair. No, but sometimes I think they'd be more attractive if they also had longer hair. Its a personal thing and people have the freedom to do what they want with their own hair.

Description: Twice now I have received comments on my wallpapers that were very obviously intended for someone else wallpaper. The first time, I thought was was just a user's error. But after getting the second one, it seems like it could possibly be a bug.

Instructions for replication: Only on the receiving end. Just FYI in case not human error.

Comments: Also noticed that if I accidently click on anyone's wallpaper comments it goes into edit mode. Which I've always canceled. But still its odd since I'm not that user."

"20+ take heart, cause I'm 33 yrs old and still waiting. If per chance there is a gentleman who would wish to marry me I hope he would have the same courtesy to wait for me as well.

I was pleasantly surprised by the replies, even the posts from the other perspective are respectful. Read through all 4 pages, this tread is both interesting & encouraging. I have a few thoughts to add in response to thoughts introduced by the different posters.

Hope: There are 2 kinds.
1) False hope, based on lies, misinformation, etc.
2) Hope based on truth or a promise.

Many of you have posted good points & thoughts of the chasing after romantic &/or physical love as a replacement of the real thing. My two cents to added to this topic below.


1 Timothy 5:1-2 excerpt
Treat younger men as brothers, older women as mothers, and younger women as sisters

What the verse is referring to is not the sibling bickering, but the close, trusting and encouraging relationships brothers & sisters are meant to have.

I think a lot of the loneliness, awkwardness with the other gender and heartbreaks would be healed &/or avoided if men & women would treat each other more like brothers & sisters instead of pursuing romantic relationships. Intimate relationships don't need to be romantic in nature. (as many of you have posted).

Some of you told stories how you were mistreated because of your decision. Unfortunately, it sounds like you were the victim of the "crabs in the bucket" mentality. Crabs have a tendency if one is climbing out of the bucket, the others will pull him down. Human nature is broken. But I think Katherine Hepburn's character in "The African Queen" said,

Ecchi is always used to differentiate between walls which contains partial nudity or complete nudity. and it is mostly girls with loose clothes or no tops. so what do you think of this nudity factor in walls. is it acceptable? is it fine to have these kind of walls or is it not. this question especially applies to girl.


To answer your question frankly. Partial & complete nudity of both genders bothers me. I don't really care for either. Not because of I think I'm some sort of superior moral or philosophical person. But because it makes me feel uncomfortable and those images invoke lustful desires. Lust is a selfish perversion of love. (I could elaborate so much more, but for the sake of keeping on topic have refrained. If you wish to discuss this thought further, please feel free to pm me.)

I firmly believe in Free Speech, even for those I disagree with. But I expect and deserve not to be labeled "closed minded", "prude" or marginalized because of my views on this and other matters. Live and let live.

On the artistic part of the debate, just because a nude or "ecchi" type of piece of artwork was created during the Renaissance or by some great artist does not give it a "holy" or "sacred" privilege. History has shown that people don't change as a whole and human nature is still as broken as it was then. Censorship isn't right. But discretion should be practiced and respected.

Mmm, this is an interesting idea. Its quite possible.

"I hesitated on posting in this thread for a long time for several reasons.

1) Wasn't sure what to say.
2) Seems liked I'd be outnumbered by those who didn't understand nor seem to appreciate the concept of privacy rights in general.

Just because one doesn't value or understand their rights, does not mean that the unconcerned should deem that right "unnecessary" or "unimportant" for everyone else.

The bigger picture isn't about porn or vulgarity, but one of control. As we all know, "Information is Power". Whether it be big corporation(s) or the government. We've all seen enough animes where either or both of these 2 powers control the people unjustly. Storytellers base these on history as well as human nature.

"Power corrupts, absolute power corrupts absolutely."

Another quote to stew on by Thomas Paine, "When the people fear the government you have tyranny. When the government fears the people, you have freedom."

I'm sure many will nick pick what I've said. Or tell me how I said it wrong. But please don't attack me just because my opinion happens to be different that yours.
