"If you don't know where to start, always go to your professor first for ideas and guidance. That's what they are there for. My college has something called the Writing Center also, its a place where students can go to get help with essays, ideas and proofreading and the like. If you have something like that I would suggest going there too. Never be afraid to ask for help. :) "

"Well, I consider myself and amature poet, and I enjoy doing it as a hobby in my spare time. I haven't written anything new in a while, but I would be more than happy to share some of my work with the community here. Many on MT enjoy my work so I thought some of you might too.

This is one of my very favorite poems. ^^

Teardrops
Walking all alone she cries
No one sees her downcast eyes
And then the rain starts pouring down
Her eyes still pointed at the ground
Many people pass her by
No one knows or sees her cry

And so she slowly walks away
No one knows her silent pain
Her teardrops covered up by the rain

She gets home and flops in bed
She tries to sleep but thoughts fill her head
She closes her eyes as teardrops fall
�??What if no one wants me at all?
All I want is to be loved,
Hugged and kissed, not pushed and shoved�?�

And so she quietly sleeps away
All her fears and silent pain
Her teardrops falling from her eyes like rain

One day while walking a stranger she meets
He wonders why this pretty lady weeps
He buys her a flower and makes her smile
Tells her jokes and she laughs all the while
He walks her home and gives a gentle kiss
She waves good-bye, finally in bliss

And so she smiles her night away
Thinks no more of all her pain
No more teardrops falling in the rain

Two years later, still with the same man
They stand at the altar holding hands
When they smile and say �??I do�?�
Everyone cheers and claps for the two
As they leave the church the rain pours down
Her eyes no longer cast at the ground

And so she gets picked up and carried away
Crying again, but not from pain
Her teardrops covered by her smile and the rain

Do you like being alone?

"Sometimes spending time alone is very refreshing. I'll go for a walk or just find a quiet place to sit and reflect on my thoughts or maybe do some writing. But being with people is always good too. I like sharing experiences with others and making memories. If I was given a choice, I'd most definitely choose to be with others rather than be alone. "

So Where Were You?

"I was in school when it happened. I didn't know anything was going on until my third period class. The teacher came in and asked everyone if they wanted to go to the library to watch the news. I was like "Huh? Why? What's on the news?" So we all went down there and crowded around the tables. Several other classes were already in there. I was like "Wow, something must really be going on"

So I sit there and just watch. They say a plane flew into one of the World Trade Centers. At first, I thought it was a joke. That some idiot wasn't paying attention and accidentaly flew his plane into one of the towers, and I figured he'd just clipped a corner of the building or something.

Then they showed the video. Smoke everywhere, people running and crying, firetrucks and police cars everywhere. I thought "Holy s**t, this isn't a joke..what the hell is going on?!" I watched for the rest of the hour as it just got worse. The second plane hit...the first tower fell.

School went on. Some teachers tried to have class. Others just had the TV going and we did nothing. I went home and did nothing but stare at the TV, and wonder who could possibly do such a thing. It was also my grandfather's birthday...what a lovely present.

I'll never forget that day. God Bless everyone who lost their lives, and the families of those who did as well. "
