"Well it depends of what gender of games you prefer.


The Xbox has never been famous for its RPG’s. Instead the Xbox is (still in its 360 version) a FPS console; HALO is the best game this console had to offer.
The PS, on the other hand, has all the other genders covered with many (many, many, many…) games all but FPS. From Final Fantasy to God Of War.

If we should decide the future based on what has happened in the past… I would definitively buy a PS3… The PS1 and PS2 are the best selling consoles of each of their generations.

"Final Fantasy Vi’s story is really amazing!

( it’s the strong feat. of every FF) the idea of being an elite member of a mercenary organization ( sounds like Avalanche of FFVII) is so great. The GF’s animations, the ability to summon your limit tech, absorbing magic from enemies, equipping magic to your weapons…

It really was a good game, but if Square-Enix is thinking of a remake it should consider Chrono Trigger… that was a one of a kind game.

" - I like it better with the text (I'm comparing your first post with the latest I was able to open). I feel the wallpaper it's a bit too bright, it makes the wallpaper look a bit cleaner and it gives a nice effect to the scan (althought it also makes it a bit blurry) don't really know if it would look better with more contrast (you should try moving it a little).

- Other than that I agree with almost everyone in this forum that you have done a very good work with this wallpaper."

" • Certain parts of the outline of your scan-character look way to rough. You could probably solve this by vectoring it or re-scanning your image at a higher quality.

• The simple BG could work ( from your 1st post) but, it would be a good idea to delete ( just a few) brush-effects to the second post. Either way, you're doing ok, good luck.

Sorry... but the wallpaper is conceptually a failure.

• Hate this kind of comments… xD they’re riddles to me.

• The scans you’re using don’t fit the background, also the scan on the left looks blurry ( ghost-like-effect) you should do something about it.

• Try with a forest like BG or a cave BG… or simply work with different texture brushes for the BG.

• You need to dedicate more time to your wallpaper… good luck with that!

" • Well, I like the BG, and I like the extraction work on the scan, what I don’t like is how they look together ( they don’t fit) one is way too photo-realistic and the other it’s a bright anime scan.

• I know you can merge them together with shadow effects, or giving the scan some orange colored darkness… ( I know you can because you have done it with other wallpapers you’ve submit here). Basically that’s it. You need to merge the scan with the BG.

" • If I don’t critique the drawing quality the moderators will ( and they’ll take papers from you). I’m almost certain that the drawing you’re trying to submit has not enough quality for AP standards.

• It is a very good vectoring work (it looks just like your drawing), you did great coloring the drawing in Photoshop, and you should probably put more effort on the background. But I’m not sure about the image quality… my suggestion is that you try with another image ( check the scans section) and start from there.

" • This will sound kind of rude but… you basically didn’t do anything to the scan. (LINK--> FMA Scan - See you on a rainy day)... You should work on the lighting at the buildings, shadows in the clouds, and correct the quality of the scan ( it’s grainy).

• Just work a little harder on it. There are no real changes in the 4 upload images you posted here.

• Well, yes it’s kind of empty… but if you add too many brush effects the BG will look too forced to fit. Just add a few things at the upper left corner and lower right corner :) .

" 1) ( And this is very important) you need to put your signature on it. Also remember to save it at a 70% quality for the web ( so it won’t be so heavy).
2) The wallpaper needs some more stuff ( it’s too simple) try with some other brushes effects, shadows, different fonts…
3) Try to merge the scan with the background… they seem to be completely apart from each other.

• Basically you just need to dedicate more time to your wallpaper… you’ve done a very nice work so far. Keep it up! :)

" • I like the code bar image on the second wallpaper :) . Still it fells a little empty but you could add some more store-item-effects to make it feel like a CD cover ( try adding them in white color… it looks very well on your wallpaper).

" • You need to work on the quality of both scans… you could try blurring it a little to get those pixel effects vanished. Overall it’s a nice idea ( the menu before you start the game idea that is) but that doesn’t mean you can’t add some more background effects.

2) The scan ( however) it’s blurry. You need to work on the neatness of that scan
3) Those flower petals should be black ( in case they’re brushes, but if they’re not leave them alone).
4) The reflected image (of your scan) in the BG could be bigger and occupy a larger part of the wallpaper’s BG.

• You’re doing a nice wallpaper, just try and keep it as clean and neat as possible.
