"Thanks for all the opinions! ^^Ok, I changed the character to Seiren from the Yami To Boshi To Hon No Tabibito series. The extraction doesn't belong to me though; I found it in http://aethereality.net/ extracted by http://cloud-realms.com
I would extract it myself if I could find the image of it, but I could only find an extracted image.

I think this image matches the background better; however, I'm not sure if this is good enough for submission since I didn't extract the image. Is the image too soft for the background still? Well, tell what you guys think of the wallpaper.
P.S. Can someone tell me what is the difference between a vector and an extraction?"

"The background is really nice, but the scan should definitely be bigger to focus the wallpaper more on her than the background. I think the text is very nice, maybe move it to the side though. The sparkles could be done without, unless you center the scan and make the sparkles appear more like a majestic thing that she appears from, because right now it looks a bit out of place. "View

And here's the original scan. I did mess with the image a little with the brightness and contrast and a gaussian blur/layer effect, a combination of two techniques I got from two graphics site to make the images sharper/softer looking. I modified it a little now, so tell me if that's better. The original wouldn't look good in my opinion.
Yeah, the wings were a bit weird to me because I cut off the beginning part of it. I tried to put a bit more of a bright light effect on it to lessen the weirdness, is it better now? Btw, it's not a girl, it's a guy named Edward. XD
I wasn't sure what you meant by the swirls being too hard and I'm not sure how to fix that either. ^^; Any help would be appreciated. ^_^

Er...I'm not sure how you work w/ vector art...
I probably do need to work on extraction a bit more. I'll make some more changes later, so you can ignore the above changes if you want and wait for the next change. Thanks for the advice.

Ok, after studying a bunch of well extracted images, I think I discovered that I had misunderstood the whole point in extraction until now. ^^; So let me get this straight, in extraction, you're suppose to have this very thin line that basically outlines the entire image rather than just deleting out all the parts of the background and be left with the said person you want w/o a clear definition between the image and the background, am I right in assuming this? I'm not supposed to be smudging to make it look better, right?"

"Anime definitely has an impact on my mood. As mentioned before, humorous anime makes me laugh, depressing anime makes me sad. Same with endings, if it's a happy one that I wanted, then it makes me even more joyous, but if it's tragic or completely uncalled for, it'll either make me sad or sort of in a ranting mood. However, no matter which mood of anime, it will cheer me up at the end of a long day or week. Usualy, it makes me smile and feel all giddy. ^^ But at the same time, I feel more contemplative after watching anime , which creates a sort of a wistful longing. "View
Shoujo-ai/Shonen-ai?

"I don't mind shoujo-ai, but shounen-ai is more preferable. ^^ I'm sort of a big fan on yaoi fanfiction. XD But yeah, what matters the most is the plot and the art; that's what catches me in the first place.On the side note, shounen-ai should really be known as BL (Boy's Love or Boys' Love) as that is the more commonly used term in Japan, but I prefer the former term. heh heh. I don't know about shoujo-ai though."
