What is anime to you?

"Anime is something that entertains me I guess. Wikipedia says that it is "programming of Japanese origin, with the term "cartoon" or "animated series" used for most other visual styles or any animated, professionally produced, feature film created by a Japanese company for the Japanese market" (From WIKI)

However, I think it is more, because like another post was talking about Avatar (although a nice show) is not anime. I don't really know how to classify what is or isn't but I phrase I hear a lot in my classes (about non-anime related topics) is "I know it when I see it"

What would you do if you had no internet for a month?

"I know I know... shhh.. stop screaming. Seriously, what would you do if internet in your home went out? A few years ago mine did and I couldn't get it back up for about three and a half weeks and I spent extra time at work because it had an internet connection."

"I got my screen name because it is a bastardized version of my actual name. I have a non-english name and people get confused when they see it. Dreams

"The weirdest dream I've ever had was when I was 10 and I hard food poisoning from blueberries that weren't washed properly (mmmm.... can anyone say chemicals?). Time and space raced itself and I could see eternity. Its 11 years later and it still blows my mind. However now I find myself having more and more falling dreams, which aren't so bad but I wake up feeling like I hit a cement slab, I even get them when I am awake sometimes. Odd, no?"

Does anyone else like Domo-kun?

"For those how don't know what Domo-kun is see below. Most people in the western world only see Domo in those "every time you masturbate God kills a kitten... please think of the kittens" but he is so much more. Since figuring out who Domo is about a year ago I've tried to learn a little more. What I found out is that Domo is one of the most recognizable animal-type-things for elementary school children in Japan. Despite his fever over the Domo I can't find him in Canada. I also think no one knows about him in the US. It seems sad, and it also makes it hard to find any Domo related products. I had to get a Domo doll shipped to me from Japan. Sadness. Anyway, I want to know other peoples experiences with Domo and his cute monster-like qualities. I don't think I am the only one who likes fuzzy monsters who like to watch TV and fart (that is what Domo likes to do not me).

Superman vs Batman vs Spiderman

"I don't think superman would win because kryptonite always seems to be at hand around him. Spiderman wouldn't win either because have you noticed he constantly is screwing up? He is running out of luck. Overall, I think that Batman would win because besides being the most evil looking (and therefore the coolest in my humble opinion) he is also the smartest. I believe brains beat strength and luck any day."

I know if you are with someone you aren't really alone, but it is a little different because the feeling of being alone is still there. It isn't that I don't like people, but I don't really need to be constantly talking and interacting with people. I love my friends, but they grate at me if I am around them for too long. I think it is because I enjoy being calm, and people always fluster me. Oh well..."

Things that frighten you or make you afraid?

"I love heights, spiders, the dark, water... etc. however... talking to my professors in my classes is the toughest thing ever! I think it is because I catch conversations of younger students in some of my lower level classes and thinks... gah ... I can't believe I thought so basic at one point or justified everything I thought with NO information ... if it is this bad when I am only in my 3rd year what about people who have their doctorate? I especially feel scared in one class because my professor was a cabinet minister for the province at one time and feel anything I say will embarrass us both. Although watching other students say things that give me headaches because of their ignorance makes me wonder what the prof must think. I know I sound a bit of a bitch but let me give you an example

Student: I believe children 6 years old should be charged as adults in our criminal justice system because they can remember things
Prof: Okay....... thanks for sharing
My thoughts: *I think my head just exploded, why is memory connected to anything else in that sentence* (little sizzle from burnt brain cells)"

Premature Marriage

"People shouldn't be able to marry unless they take a test of some sort. I've had so many friend marry right after high school and they are extremely messed up. I on the other hand haven't but have been in a stable relationship for more than 2 years. I understand people think of marriage as some fairy tale, but you have to live together with that person for a length of time to make sure you don't go insane. Gah... people are dumb."

"Me and my boyfriend are OCD but last night our 27 inch TV (AKA the main TV) broke. Despite looking through the entire apartment and venturing down to the pit of hell that is the storage space we have yet to find the warranty. bah, we bought a new TV today @_@ Where did we put it? I don't know, but since the TV broke my OCD power has been destroyed and I have lost 4 things in less than 24 hours.... damn you TV... I'm only 21 not 85..."

"I have three cats. Frizzbiz (short for Frigid Bitch) is a HUGE gray cat that is a million years old and sits on a red mat no matter where you place it. My second cat is Bean (short for LesBean) and is half Maine Coon and half unknown. She is around 3 years old (I think, she has a mind of a two month old) has a bend ear, a chipped tooth, wobbles, and jumps freakishly high in the air. Also, she looks evil when she sleeps because he keeps her eyes open. Finally I have Karl (Short for Hot Karl) who is just a baby and likes to wrestle with bean. He is also very jealous is don't pay attention to him and he cat screams. What is cat screaming? Come over and hear my cat to find out, he doesn't meow it's a scream. What is also weird is that he sounds like a hamster when he runs around, I don't know why. Odd cats with odd names :)"
