After months of work, chanelqueen17 has created a gorgeous scene of Alice and Oz from Pandora Hearts, using scans that didn't even feature both characters together. Even after spending so much time on matching the details of the characters to their new looks, chanelqueen17 didn't stop there and went all out on the background too! This wallpaper definitely needs to be seen!

Oh, okey. I kind of pictured a mouses head for a kangaroo's body, with a mouse tail. Big mousy (* w *)!! I don't see alot of mise hop. So, I find that kinf of interesting.

"Thank you so much!The nose and mouth's proportions were somewhat awkward I know, the reason being I used no reference for the face. However, I like drawings that have mistakes on them (gives more character)..I bet if I altered it and made everything perfect it wouldn't have turned out so well. I'll be sure to keep the scaling issue in mind, I thought it looked alright when it wasn't in full view so I didn't bother with it.
As for the picture of Liesel, it didn't take long actually, 20 min the most.

"Thank you!I don't have a scanner so I figured it would be better to put my camera to good use.
As for the fluency thing, do you mean that the coloring could have been more even? I share the same feeling too, cos with watercolor pencils I lose patience sometimes when coloring and can't be bothered doing it right; thus the many lines you see on the paper. As for the oil pastel one, I'm not too fond of the paper whites either but at the same time it gives more texture to the drawing so I don't mind them really.

This took me a really long time to finish but in the end it's probably the best drawing I've done. Of course I'm gonna try and surpass this.

"Yh like EchoWinD said, what exactly are you trying to say? There's no question in what you wrote, for us to state are own opinions and besides the Artist Alley is a forum to post your artwork not the opinions of teachers.Your teacher is somewhat right about her theory. Serious art isn't cute and generally when someone does art they want to inspire people who see it and surprise them, so it's very rare they draw something cute and describing it as that is a pretty pointless cos there's always so much more to it. However, art is universal and yes it can also be cute...like the artwork for computer animation for example.
Anyways everyone has their own opinion and there's nothing we can do to change it."

You have an interesting style, like a cross between Disney and Samurai Jack and I think it's very cool. "Not bad. The digital art and the sketches are great. Start doing more shading and adding shadows to the normal sketches cos it'll add more to it in terms of sophistication and the 3-D effect. The faces are good (that's obviously the hardest part of drawing manga style) so now I suggest you start practising the current style of doing the faces, where the noses are more realistic.Keep up the good work ^^

I did this as a gift for my friend on her birthday. You may notice that the drawing is exactly like a Samurai Champloo wallpaper (can't remember the title or who made it) except I switched Jin with Light cos him and Mugen are her two fave male anime characters.
Slightly better picture quality this time around cos I used someone else's camera lol. Oh and I apologise about the size cos I got it from an album on Facebook.
