Anyway, I can't really read Chinese, so I guess I'll just have to wait for TOWNL to translate the next ones.

I'm still trying to sort through my reaction to the Death Note trailer. It's definitely playing into the whole horror element quite a lot, I just hope the director doesn't get too wrapper up in that and draw it away from the original manga. I like the actor for Raito, but I too am not crazy about the guy playing L. He just doesn't strike me as an L-type character. Misa's actress looks pretty, but isn't Misa supposed to be American? I just hope they aren't going for an all-Japanese cast. Especially seeing as they're making a second movie, which may/may not feature Near and Mello, who have to be American."

Summer plans

"I'm in the process now of getting a job. I applied to the summer art camp that's down the street from my house, but they have yet to get back to me. D: My second choice would be a different art camp, but that one's 15 minutes away and I don't get my liscense until next winter.

I also always do a daily babysitting routine for the kids across the street until they leave for their summer home in July. Oh, and this year we may go to France, as long as there are no riots or bird flu or other bad things like that. o_0"

"Naruto, by far. I've been on anime forums where only 2 or 3 other people read/watch Bleach. I don't think Pokemon is, I don't know anyone at all who still watched that, same with Yu-Gu-Oh. Both are geared more towards younger children, who we all know have the attention span of a peanut.

Viz gets Bleach

"Viz gets most of the Shonen Jump mangas, from what I understand they already own the English manga, it's only a matter of if and when they are going to dub it. I really hope the dubs are decent, Viz was also the group that did Naruto, which got some VA's right, and others way off.

I've never watched the subbed Bleach anime (dumb computer can't handle, I have to stick to manga) and I think it would be nice to be able to watch it on adult swim, but if they are actually going to get it it won't be for a while."

"Why does everyone want Death Note to be animated? There is absolutely no way that the can do Obata's art justice, and I think people who have not read the manga would have trouble keeping up with all of the dialogue. It's really a manga that should stay manga.

As for what I want to see animated? Definetly Princess Ai. There are only 3 manga volumes, but it could be one of those short and sweet (very sweet) animes, like FLCL."

Oh yeah! I heard on some other forum, that full moon wo sagahite has been licensed, by VIZ Damn... o_o;; Anyone but them. =_= *shakes head menacingly*

Anyway, I haven't seen much of the anime but I've shuffled through some of the screenshots. It looks like the story line is pretty similar, but I like the art in manga so much more. It a lot more fluid and I *love* Tanemura's panel layouts.

I got the 4th volume a few days ago, and read it in an hour (of course). I had already guessed most of Meroko's story from the hints in volume 3, but it's kind of bothering me the way that she was best friend's with Mitsuki's grandmother. How is it possible that both Meroko and Takuto's pasts were almost directly connected with Mitsuki's!? That's a bit too much of a coincidence for me to believe. Well, I accidently read the spoilers on Izumi's past way before I even got into the series, and thankfully his is not connected to Mitsuki.

I think Izumi/Meroko is the most adorable pair ever. :3 I never know who to ship Mitsuki with though, I don't like her and Takuto, and

"Riza Hawkeye from Full Metal Alchemist. She's just so neat. I think it would also be kind of nice to be Misa-Misa from Death Note, but she's such a tool and has a blind obsession for Light/Raito. But besides that, she's a cool character.

Oh, and she cut her life span off by like 3/4 for something and will probably drop dead in a chapter or two. That's dumb... o_0"

Bad Days

"I had a terrible night on Tuesday. We had that day off from school for President's Day weekend, so I was just getting back from my trip to Maine. My fscking tape recorder didn't work when I was away so I lost last week's One Piece, Naruto, House, and FMA. FMA is the real heart breaker because it was the second to last episode of the series but I was able to find the ep. online last night.

And then my piano teacher came. No one invited her. We told her that we wouldn't be getting back from our trip until late on Tuesday, and for some reason she assumed that meant that she should come late Tuesday night! My sister was really pissed that she showed up (she takes lessons too) and so my mom told her only 45 minute lessons. So, first she gave my sister a 45 minute lesson. Then she gave me a 2 hour lesson. Which, by the way, did not consist of playing the piano but of her dousing my entire piece in white out and then re-writing all of the finger numbers.

To top that all off, I didn't have enough time to read 1984 for class so now I'm two reading assignments behind. I am beginning to question why the hell I came home from vacation in the first place. OH, and I almost forgot, I'm also got the world's worst stomach ache, which came with all of the fun stuff that sharp pains in the stomach usually come with. (No details needed, I presume)"

"Nope, not really. Funny that you bring up the topic though, a teacher from my high school just got fired last weekend for a student/teacher relationship. The girl is in my grade, too. (10th, ew) Also, my best friend's mother married her college professor, so her dad is about 25 years older than her mother. Also kind of gross, but they're very nice."

Bleach or Naruto?

"I have basically completed both series and I must say that in the end I prefer Bleach. Naruto is great and everything, I love Kakashi to death, but it is too repetative. In additin to that, some of the episodes move sooo slowly. It is, however, very original and has a kick-ass cast.

I really like Bleach because the main character is very awesome. Naruto can be quite obnoxious at some somes, we all know it, but Ichigo never ceases to suprise me (thoughts on manga chapter 214 = zomg) I personally think that Bleach is funnier than Naruto, with Ichigo's family and Kon for comic relief. Also, though I said before that the Naruto cast is excellent, and it is, I think Bleach has a more unique cast. A lot of the Naruto characters are all "Oh noes, family conflict!" and "My jutsu pwns your insuperior jutsu!!1" while in Bleach there is only one family conflict (Rukia's) and the rest of the characters have there own excellent little quirks."
