This wallpaper captures the urban essence that proliferated the art of Ghost in the Shell in every incarnation of the series. Phill does an amazing job of capturing a moment of surrealism.

While there are a few, stray building angles and shadows, you find that your eye forgives the minor details and instead focuses on the overall scene that is larger than life, with lights trailing off into infinity.

"The faint line in the middle interrupts the background. There are other ways to break up space.

The tree silhouette just makes the background even busier, it should also be removed. Having a tree in the background isn't a bad idea, but having the silhouette of a tree looks weird.

The extraction on the couple is off. The phoenix has pieces of the background still on it.

Blending images in the background usually isn't good idea, and in this wall it's no exception. The faint image of the two in the background makes the wall too busy also.

"The lines on the eye and hair are rather shaky. Consider outlining the hair again, it'd make a difference.

The underlining of the text is a bit much, and I'd make the line height smaller.

The background doesn't look too good. Blend textures instead of scans."

"To begin with, it's not wallpaper size. Minimum wallpaper size is 1024x768.

The wall's too busy. Consider removing the image background, they yellow pictures of Naruto & Sasuke, and not fading the images.

It looks like a scan. I don't see any cleaning or color editing done whatsoever. The minimum wallpaper size is 1024x768 too.

"Please don't make the bg a screencap. It's too busy as it is.
Remove the Naruto and Sasuke ghost profiles on either side. They take away from the image.

Regardless of whether or not you did, the main image looks like it was resized. Clean and sharpen it. The extraction could be improved upon especially in the hair."

"First off, why is the guy halfway transparent?
Having it transparent alone is a great way to kill the wall.
It provides no effect whatsoever.
In a wall like yours, it helps to place the character in the foreground.

The extraction's bad, too. The lines are jagged and inconsistent. Luckily, it's nothing that a few black path layers can't fix.

The silhouette isn't working for me either. While your at it, delete or seriously edit the rainbow. The color transition should be smoother. The rainbow should fade better and it shouldn't conquer the space.

The sparkles are overkill. The lines add a bad effect. Revert the sky to its blue coloring, too.

The hill's too circular. No irregularities. It looks like a half circle. The black color makes no sense. It's a grassy hill, make it grass colored. The grass should be lower. It looks like it was uprooted.

The sky and tree are way too realistic. I'm guessing the tree's a brush. If not delete the black coloring. If so, try blending stock.

The scan looks too much like a scan. Clean it up so it's quality will suit the background."

"I'd change the font. I don't think Angel looks good. Try Unfortunate Events on one line.
The background's weird. I'd prefer a scene, not some random swirls.

Rei doesn't look like she's on fire either. It looks more like she fell off something.
Remove the fire or use a different picture that's more suitable."

"The boxed, grid look isn't working for me.
(Even if it is) it gives a feeling that this is a first wall.
The box look should be removed from the corners, and the main images.

I realize your trying your best, but the brushes you used need to go, too.
They crowd the wall, especially the Aethereality text brushes.

The border around the wall can be taken off.

Which leaves you with the two images.
I'm positive that you just cropped the images and slapped together, but you'll have to work harder.

Make the images their normal size, sharpen them up, and do some cleaning.
Try extracting the images and add a background and try to make it more than just a combination of random brushes. Use textures or patterns, and add a few brushes then."
