"I would say it depends on the game as to whether I prefer the PC vs. a paticular console. Good example would be Portal. I have an xbox 360, but I picked up the PC version since you have the option to create or install custom levels made by other players.

So long as I enjoy the game, in the end, I don't really care. "

"Ah I see, I hadn't thought about the soft effects making the styles clash so much. Thanks for the observation. I've gone ahead and redone parts of it. I made the image more sharp as well as the final background as well. And I changed the font to help cut down on the modern vs contemporary look. Then I made the main flowers smaller and added the edge of ones in the corners like you mentioned.

I'm not sure why the other was doing that since it was working just fine earlier this week. Also, it only happens when I'm logged in. When I was not logged in the drop down did not hide behind the banner. "

It is only a glitch on IE. In fact, I'm using IE right now because I'm on campus so I know exactly what you are talking about. Use Firefox.

Actually I use FireFox and I have the same problem with the drop down hiding behind the banner as well. And it only started doing it within the last couple of days. So could it be a new glitch?

I can't submit scans...

"In addition to the error when one tries to submit a scan, which I just got when I tried, is the queue still backed up? I have about six scans I submitted shortly after the site came back up and I did get the message saying the scan was accepted. But I have yet to actually see the scans or get a notice of rejection.

I'm pretty sure it's been at least two days. And I was curious to know if once the error is fixed if I would need to re-submit them. Or should I just wait a little longer seeing that things still are not back to normal yet.

Anyway, thanks in advance for your help.

Scan Deletion and Paper Count Question

As for the spreads you submitted to the gallery, they will be accepted and you will automatically receive papers for it since you did rescan them and piece them together. In the future, please submit your spreads in one piece.

Thank you for your quick response. I do plan on only submitting them in spreads in the future, especially since I feel like an idiot for thinking it was for magazine spreads only. And since I realized this just under a week ago I have been submitting any spreads together.

Another reason I brought this up, is after looking through the rest of my scans I realized that I still have eight pictures to remove and then replace so with the four I already removed, that brings the total up to twelve scans. And because I felt it was wrong to get papers for a mistake, even if I had to rescan them, especially since I needed a higher quality for a spread and to include parts of the picture that wasn't in the fist scan. But it doesn't change the fact that I made a mistake and I've never been one to keep papers or anything else I was given for something if I was in the wrong.

Anyway, thanks again. I plan on getting the rest of the scans fixed in the next couple of days and so if you feel that messing up on so many scans warrants the loss of the papers, please remove them for the twelve scans, if not I'll understand. Though I really dislike keeping them since I feel I didn't completely earn them."

Scan Deletion and Paper Count Question

"Earlier today I deleted four of the scans I submitted since I realized that I did not pay close enough attention to the guidelines. For some reason I got the idea that you only had to put spreads together for magazines, how I got this idea I don’t know. >_< Anyway, so I rescanned the images in question, put them together as a spread and submitted them.

I then deleted the older submission that was not the full spread. However, I expected my paper count to drop since the four scans are now gone. But the count remains the same. The new scans have not been approved yet, but I wanted to get this cleared up since I did not delete the old ones and resubmit them to gain more papers, I only wanted to replace them with the complete scan.

So if someone could make sure those papers I got for the first submission are taken off I would appreciate it. Also, since I still have some more that I wish to fix, should I just post here again once I am done? I have to rescan the pages in question to put them together properly.

And finally, sorry for creating extra work for the staff here as that was not my intent, and thank you to who ever helps me with this issue. "

"Ah! Thank you. I took a look and it is the same series. I have the DVD’s and the name Tsukuyomi is not part of the title, it’s simply called Moon Phase on the disk covers.

I too requested some categories and one of them did not show up. One did and the other did not and it is not in the drop down menu for submitting scans. The series in question is Moon Phase. I checked earlier this morning and it was still not available, but since I have submitted 10 scans that have yet to be approved I cannot check to see if it is there yet, due to getting the message that you’ve reached your limit.

Anyway, if anyone could answer that for me I’d appreciate it since I’ve got some scans from that show that I was planning on submitting.

"Ah the question that always pops up, how did you find a certain site? In this case it was simple, I was checking some stuff in relation to a plagiarism issue at another site and while doing so I came across this one. And even then I did not bother to sign up until much later.

Then once I did I rarely visited since most of the time I only come here for the same thing, to follow up on plagiarism issues elsewhere.

However this year I wish to get some scans to use so I’ve been pulling up my own scans and submitting them to earn the papers needed to download the ones I’m interested in.

How do you find the new anime?

"Usually I find new anime through the on demand section of my cable service, they usually have some new series that they will have the first couple of episodes for that I can watch every week. If I like it I’ll go and get the rest, if not I just don’t finish watching what’s available.

For anything else I just ask my online friends as well as my regular friends as to what they have been watching recently.

I also follow the updates of upcoming anime releases at Funimation and other websites of the companies that release them in the US.

My other method is to randomly pick something at the store that’s about fifteen bucks, looks interesting and I’ve never seen before. It’s fun to watch something that you have no clue as to what to expect. A few times it was a waste of money, but most of the time it has been worth it. ^_^

"No we are not on a dynamic IP it does change but not very often. However if it doesn't matter once the account is set up then I'll tell her to set hers up at either a friends house or the library.

"I was wondering if it was possible to have more than one account per IP address. I had never thought about it since I do not need more than one for myself. But I share Internet access with a sister and a brother as well as a couple of other people since we are all networked together.

So we have different computers but the same IP as we are all on the same account. Making a total of five people.

Or can I change my account to where it is shared? The person who wanted the account isn't even related to me but got nailed by the restriction when she tried to sign up. So is there any way I could change my user name to include both mine and the one she wanted?

We both have separate accounts elsewhere so obviously some submissions would be mine where others would be hers.

"The problem with actually knowing when someone is going to die is that depending on the circumstances; it could be that they are in a coma or dying from cancer, you may know when they are going to die but it changes nothing. So thinking that by knowing you will get more quality time together is a mistaken notion. Having watched loved ones suffering from diseases, wishing for death but not getting it. Or watching someone you love in a coma only for them to die three and a half months later without coming out of it is hell.

I’d rather not know and have it be sudden. When you know that someone is dying or that it’s a possibility, it shadows everything and instead of getting in those precious moments you spend a lot of it in dread wondering if they are going to make it or not. Or instead of appreciating the time left you begrudge how little is actually left. So in the end I would choose to not know and just enjoy life.

Girlfriend/Boyfriend says 'no' to anime...

"It would depend on the situation. If it’s a case where I was obsessively watching too much anime or reading it etc. Then a compromise would be acceptable, but an outright never watch or read again sort of deal, that I wouldn’t do. In all honesty if my boyfriend suddenly tried to tell me what I was allowed to watch or read, I would know that they weren’t really someone I want to spend my time with. After all most of my boyfriends have loved football and I’ve never expected them to give up their sports hobby.

As for having a crush, that’s something I’ve never really done. If I later found out they didn’t like it, again it’s the same thing. It’s actually very immature to expect your boyfriend/girlfriend to give up their interests, friends or any other thing along the lines of because you don’t like it.

" All about me:

Well first of all I’m definitely a female. ^_^ My full name is Elizabeth though I actually go by Beth.

I was born in Provo Utah, though I’ve also lived in Dallas Texas and Ventura California. And that doesn’t include the time I was a truck driver and basically lived all over the west coast for a while. As for my age? I’m 35, I must have entered the wrong year when I signed up as I am not 36 yet.

I actually have four brothers and one sister. The eldest brother was hurt in a accident caused by a drunk driver and never recovered from it. (he was in a coma for 3 ½ months before dying) The second eldest brother lives in Oregon and I’m officially an aunt since I have a little niece and nephew. The third older brother is unfortunately a drug addict and since I don’t talk with him anymore I have no idea what he is up to. Then there’s me. ^_^ Next is my younger sister who I see on a regular basis and finally there’s my younger brother who is working on his degree in computers.

Obviously I like anime and making wallpapers or I wouldn’t be here. I’m also into reading science fiction and fantasy novels. And I love to go hiking. One of my favorite things to do is visit Yellowstone National Park. I never get tired of going there.

Right now I’m learning how to do digital art (key phrase, learning, novice etc.) and I’m looking into going back to college to get another degree. I figure if I’m not out on the road driving I might as well be learning new stuff.

As for my personality, haha, most people think I’m shy when I just tend to be reserved until I know a little more about someone. Then they tend to be surprised since I’m very outgoing once I get past the get to know you part.

"Thank you for the input. I appreciate it. I lowered the opacity a bit so it’s not as bright and since it is suppose to be water I’ve changed it and given it a blue color this time. I still like the red, but I can see how it would make it harder to see that it’s water. I’ve removed the border altogether. And though I’m not completely sure on the applying a glow to her legs bit, I gave it a shot. I’m not sure if what I did is what you had in mind though.

I also fixed some mistakes on the extraction of the character as I noticed a few spots where I missed a bit of the original background.



Again, any tips, suggestions or pointing out mistakes would be appreciated. I’d like to submit it, but being new to this site I’ve no idea if I’m even close to what is considered acceptable. "

"I’ve been making wallpapers for over a year, but in the past few months I’ve become more interested in learning how to do more with my program. Primiarly since so many of my past wallpapers are in my opinion, terrible. So in addition to getting the manual on how to use my adobe photoshop elements 4.0 program, I’ve also been checking out various tutorials on how to do different effects.

I made this wallpaper, which I submitted to my account over at theOtaku.com


But I am not satisfied with it so I’ve been working on it and this is where I am now.


If you have any specific tips or suggestions, or if you see any glaring mistakes I would greatly appreciate your input. I intend to eventually submit it here as well, but only if I can get it to meet the requirements, so input on things that would get it rejected would be very helpful."
