Metal Gear Solid Movie, Epic or Epic Fail?

"Wow... please... please... PLEASE tell me that "Zac Efron playing Light" comment was a joke. That is just disgusting.

Anyways, back on topic - A Metal Gear Solid movie, if done well, will be epic. Just because of the epic nature of both Metal Gear itself and Snake's voice. :P

If they can avoid the pitfalls that the Street Fighter movie fell into (NUMEROUS times) and the ones the DBZ movie will more than likely fall into, then it could actually be really enjoyable.

Obviously we'll have to wait and see, but I'd have way more faith in a MGS/Death Note movie than in a DBZ and SF movie.

Perhaps I'm speaking too soon, as the DBZ movie isn't out yet... but I really don't see it doing too well.

Resident Evil 5?

Sure it may be VERY similar to RE4 in terms of play-style... but so what? RE4 was an incredibly fun game. Screw the "more-of-the-same" naysayers! There's TONS of games that don't change up the mechanics much from game-to-game and they do just fine without criticism.
The environments and gameplay are all top-notch. The element of it being a "survival horror" are definitely gone, it's not very scary... but as an action game it is fantastic.

The Co-op gameplay is absolutely great. I'm loving every second playing with friends both local and online.

Overall I'd rate it a 8.7/10, it's not perfect, sure... kind of short... but it's a fun little game, and the smooth working co-op mechanics help seal the deal.

I'd say it's a must-buy for anyone owning a 360 or PS3 who likes action games, or is just looking for a fun game to play through with a friend."

"Dying? Not a chance. It may be losing money at the moment - but it has a "10 year life" built around it. That is to say, they plan on keeping it around for 10 years, and that's how they're basing their business strategy.

Hopefully things start picking up in terms of sales, then again Sony also needs to smarten up with how they run their business; but it's not like they can just lower the price to move more units... since they start building each console at a deficit.

It's a tough position, but luckily Sony doesn't JUST make game consoles. It'll be interesting to see what happens down the road, but I highly doubt Sony will just let it die. Especially after enjoying a nice 10 years at the top with the PS2."
