Sometimes walls are downloaded and liked, but just not commented, for some reasons.
So, what about adding a voting option based in points/stars in which one could vote, in order to give the author a more accurate idea of "aceptability" of their works?
This way, one could vote and/or comment and/or favouriting. Seems awesome to me."

In the three walls I submited, I haven't got a disapproval yet; however, their mark doesn't go further a C or D, which indicates poor, low quality works.
Nothing that I wasn't aware of - although, since I submitted the last two ones without asking for some feedback before, I decided to do it now.

This wallpaper is a deviation from what I was supposed to do (the same goes to my last submission).
The base is a Manga scan that I colored; I also I used some brushes (found here). I know is a bit odd and to "smooth" for a wall (it looks more like a Livejournal banner or something)... Hum, whatever.

I'm totally ears now.

You mean the render and the background are not properly "fusioned", right?
I was thinking in not blending, I even put a shadow in Rei's figure... But you probably are totally right, and the best is to blending the image with the background in some way.
In this case... I wonder how can I perform it... heheee
Maybe erasing smooth and sighly her outlines and/or double her figure, blur it and overlaying?
May I ask a question? Do you prefer the first or the second version of this wall?

Honestly, I liked it!
The background goes well with the render, the black bar set (how can I say it properly?) is fine, the colors are ok...
The white part is freezing me, however. The composition needs a little space to breath, but some very soft textures/decoration could be an option - but ok, there's still remaining the title and some eventual text.
I didn't like the font of your signature, however. Some more "stylish" and not so traditional would look better, I'd say.

The font chosen for the main text is very cool, but I would choose one that fits the omposition the better... I mean, rounded letters with stars for a so stylish composition is not the choice I'd make personally.

I agree that the icons placed at the left are unnecessary! More, they are distracting and confusing a bit, in m opinion. :3
I also think the background and the render doesn't go along togheter properly - I mean, they have different styles - a sophisticated, hi-tech, "3D" background and a soft, pastel-colored, "2D" image. Besides, it's stealing the attention from Saber - a powerfull with some dark areas background...
Anyway, I loved your background, but for a more suitable render.
And for being the first one, it's not bad at all.

I made it yesterday, right after this one: http://www.animepaper.net/forums/Session-Zero/57963

Character extracted by me (that was too easy, it had white backgroud!).
All made by me, except the stormy brushes (see the credits in the link above).

At the beginning, the background looked quite nice. But then, each step I made was turning the entire composition weirder and weirder, until something like a... toxic, agressive mess... I think...
Ah, more, I had to compress it in 60%...

The aesthetics of the text got better indeed, but we need the DN font here!
Why not to try with other DN fonts? E.g., the font of the series title itself. It's more agreeable and fit the rest of the composition better.

The idea, the creativity, the image quality itself (vector)... Great way to express your idea. Besides, the "pair" Tamaki-Light... Just rocks!

I liked the composition of the wallpaper very much! Detailed, pleasant. Good render.
I would suggest to change the overall coloring, despite - I think that greenish-yellow turns the image dull and depressing... We need shine, lively, fresh, soft colors here - in my opinion.

I am a starter as well, anyway, I can write something.
I think that, aesthetically, your wallpaper is not resulting properly... The texture (I mean, the bricks) is dull, something agressive and also monotonous, "dead" - it doesn't give the restant composition any sense of pretty decoration.
Then, I also think that turning the characters' figure into black was not a good idea...
Work in the color (more bright, lively colors are always needed), in the lights, and try to add more appelative textures and brushes, with effectiveness.

I hope you can get here some valuable tips to help you.

Good evening!
Well, I am really enjoying my AP membership, that started today - in spite of knowing the site about an year ago.
No, no - not introduction talkcheap...
I really LOVE AP:
» Awesome layout - functional, clean, ageable - even the advertisements :P, the possibility of using avatar/signature in every corner of the site (not only in the Forum);
» Awesome graphics - the emoticons, the profile and personal pages, the nature of the site's banner (random wallp.);
» The incentive of leaving complet, constructive, helpful comments;
» The set of rules/guidelines - strick, but that's the way it sould be - when we came to Ap, we know we will see quality works only;
» The Sesssion Zero gallery;
» Yep - the awesome list of works and scans!
» ...

Something about me?
My first contact with graphic design (Photoshop CS2) started about eight monthes ago, and I started to take it more seriously about five.
I've been turned to icons, banners, and some other little graphics. Today I tried to make my first wallpaper, and I surely am going to show it very soon - whatever!! :3
I feel it's lacking me almost everything. I do not control the composition as I wish, at all. And the creativity is quite poor, also.
However, I am motivated, and I guess I will try thousand times until you accept a wallpaper came from me... =D
