Fluffy clouds??!!

"Hi all, didn´t quite now where I should post this, hope it´s ok here...

Was wondering how you do those big fluffy, alive, beautiful clouds??!! I now this sounds a bit newbe, the thing is that I use for the most 3D softwares for clouds and landscapes, and just want to change my ways now, so that´s why I was wondering how you guys do u´r clouds, do you paint it yourself by hand, or on PS??...

I friend told me to take my own pictures with a camera and then import the pictures to the computer..??!! Sounds like a good idea, does anyone do that to??

Anyways, any tips and comments would be very good!! = )
