Trick or Treat by °chanelqueen17 1 month 2 weeks ago

^nat
After months of work, chanelqueen17 has created a gorgeous scene of Alice and Oz from Pandora Hearts, using scans that didn't even feature both characters together. Even after spending so much time on matching the details of the characters to their new looks, chanelqueen17 didn't stop there and went all out on the background too! This wallpaper definitely needs to be seen!

math=hard or easy??

2 years 1 month ago

"I am definitely not a Math aficionado.

I managed good grades for Algebra and Calc., but I really struggled with Trig. and the higher Math courses. Probably 50+ % of my problems were my attitude...I knew that I would never use 99% of what was being taught ever again in my life, so it was very tough to motivate myself to learn it.

I worked in the engineering field for the semi-conductor industries, and to this day I can't honestly recall a single instance where I used any formulas, from memory, beyond the algebra level. (Any/all big equations were run through programs that just needed the numbers entered to ensure accurate results. You would get fired if your boss saw you pull out a pencil and work out a .5 micron calculation on paper.) Almost all of my college Math just faded away."

Instinct or 2nd thought?

2 years 1 month ago

"I usually tend to go with instinct, and then give second thought its chance as time permits. Too many times I've had second thoughts about things just to realize, after it's too late, that I should have gone with my gut reaction."

What's your Obsession?

2 years 1 month ago

"My current obsessions are numerous.

Wow...too many things to list! The definite items on my list of obsessions would be: Anime, computers, Internet, video games, tech gadgets, music, wallpapers, and reading fantasy/horror/sci-fi genre books."

how long u watch tv?

2 years 1 month ago

"I rarely watch cable TV anymore.

I've downgraded my service to just the basic cable, and that is pretty much just to catch up on the News once a day at most. The bulk of my TV time is watching Anime, or movies that I order from Netflix. Ever since I built an HTPC to connect to my flat panel, I've been watching Anime more frequently...probably ~12+ hours of Anime/week."

Pair of socks?

2 years 1 month ago

"The topic of the lonely socks...

I seem to mysteriously have single socks go missing now and again, but it usually works itself out after the next round of washing. Every once in a while one finds a way to make a permanent escape, but that also works out considering that I always seem to wear out/wear a hole in only one sock at a time. =D"

Swords or Guns?

"In a close-counters fight, the outcome might be interesting, but if any range is involved I would expect the gun to have an extreme advantage."

Cheating In Your Exams

2 years 2 months ago

"I would fail, because I can always take the course over again, but I would not forgive myself if I cheated to pass. Some people view cheating as a means to an end, but I view it as selling yourself short, as well as compromising your integrity. As many others have stated, cheating is wrong."

What would you do?

2 years 2 months ago

"I would take the note to the police. If you report the crime, someone may die as a result, but at least there will be some evidence contributed to the case. If you chose not to report it, you are allowing your emotions win over what you know is the right thing to do, (or in the case of the "don't care" people, you are being callous and negligent.)"

college and high school

2 years 3 months ago

"It's tough to say one way or the other until I'm done with College. My perspective changed drastically from when I was attending High School, until I was out of High School. Right now, I miss High School, but when I was in High School I couldn't wait to get out.

I'm currently entering the senior year of my B.S. program and I'm hating College, but that perspective may also change once I get to look back at the these times. You know what they say, you often don't appreciate things until you no longer have them.

Greetings!

2 years 11 months ago

"Hello! I'm also a new member, and I've been learning a lot from the posts / links under the various groups. It's starting to sink in that I still have a ways to go learning more about Photoshop before I'm ready to efficiently dig in and work on a quality wallpaper.

Best of luck, and have fun!"

What series got you into anime?

2 years 11 months ago

"I believe that the first series to hook me on anime was probably Robotech. Later series that really set that hook were: Record of Lodoss War, Tenchi Muyo, El Hazard, Neon Genesis Evangelion, Ranma, etc. The first anime movie that I remember watching was a vhs fansub in the 1980's: Nausicaa of the Valley of the Wind."

When your home alone

2 years 11 months ago

"I usually turn on the answering machine so that I can ignore the phone completely, and then watch a movie or some anime. After the couch session I will typically spend way too much time playing an MMO on one computer while browsing on another, then take a short break to eat something simple and unhealthy for dinner. After dinner I continue playing games and surfing the net until I pass out...If I get bored of the computer, I'll read a book until I pass out. (I am rarely ever alone, which is probably a good thing for my health.)"

Death

2 years 11 months ago

"This is an unusual question...

Both exposures would be painful at least for a period of time, but I agree with you that a death from exposure to extreme cold conditions would be preferable to death from exposure to extreme heat.

I agree with Fujiwara; I'd much rather die in my sleep if I was given the choice. =D

Hi, wildcard ^^ Like playing PS too,
game is great thing.
Greeting from Yuki in Indonesia, bye.

Thank you for the greetings, and I hope that things are going well in Indonesia!

I originally was referring to Adobe Photoshop, but I do very much enjoy playing the PS games also. I'm probably much more addicted than I should be to games, especially online ones. =)

In Bulgaria we have a tradicion. New people(when they go to school, work and more)eat carrots because they are rabits(thats the way we call new people^_^)
Well since i dont have carrots we'll skip 'em and go to the beer ^_^
warm welcome from Bulgaria

Hello, and thank you for the welcome! I have never heard of the carrot tradition from Bulgaria before, but I most certainly would enjoy skipping to the beer tradition. I don't believe that I've tried many Bulgarian beers before; do you have any favorite beers that you would suggest I try?

Hello, and welcome to AC! I wish I could live in California. Sounds like a nice place to live in the winter. =3

Hello, and thank you!

Things get very strange in California if you have any interest in politics, but if you can avoid all of that junk it's a wonderful place to live. Winter, (at least in central-coast California), is basically just a little bit more rain, and colder nights than summer. We essentially have a micro-climate that gives us a single year-long season, which is basically a mild summer-like season.

Welcome! Sunny California sure sounds nice... ^__^ 1980's animes are great! =] Good luck learning to create wallpapers and have fun. =D

I definitely enjoy California around this time of year; not many are able to enjoy 70's F. weather when so many other areas are getting snow.

Thank you for the greeting and wishing me luck with wallpapers!

"Nice to meet you TwinBells! I'm also a new visitor, who just found the site a day ago.

I completely agree that many of the walls on this site are inspirational; I hope that the holidays will allow me to finally take some time to learn more about wallpaper and vector creation.

Happy Holidays, and I wish you the best of luck with your academic pursuits!

Greetings all!

2 years 11 months ago

"Greetings from sunny California, USA. I've been an avid Anime fan since the day that I was able to watch a fansub of "Nausicaa of the Valley of the Wind" back in the 1980's. I found a link to this site when browsing through Deviantart, and signed up immediately!

I like to browse the spectacular walls found on AnimePaper, and I also hope to slowly learn some of the creation techniques from the forums. (I'm a complete n00b in terms of wall creation and vectors, but I do enjoy playing with Adobe PS & Ill., so there may be hope for me someday.)"
