This wallpaper captures the urban essence that proliferated the art of Ghost in the Shell in every incarnation of the series. Phill does an amazing job of capturing a moment of surrealism.

While there are a few, stray building angles and shadows, you find that your eye forgives the minor details and instead focuses on the overall scene that is larger than life, with lights trailing off into infinity.

Tunderstorm and Hail!!

2 years 2 months ago

"I don't think I have ever experienced hail like that before. I enjoy hail and thunder during the night because, IMO, it helps me sleep better. The pitter-patter of hail on our tin roof while thunder and lightning roars in the background... it's almost soothing sometimes. I love it! But if I were ever to experience hail like you experienced Terra517, I reckon i'd shit myself. Biggest piece of hail that i've ever seen or felt was no bigger than a pebble, but then again, Melbourne isn't known for their hailstorms.

what kind of music do u like???

2 years 2 months ago

"I'm pretty much into all music excluding country/western. At the moment though, I listen to alot of JPop/JRock sort of bands and artists. My current favourites are Mikuni Shimokawa, Dir en Grey, Gackt, Ayumi Hamasaki, Kagerou, Maaya Sakamoto, L'Arc~en~Ciel, the Pillows, Rie Fu, Yellow Generation, Porno Graffiti, UVERworld and Yui. I'm also really into Pinoy (Filipino) music because of my Filipino heritage. Artists I like from the Philippines are Rivermaya, Bamboo, Kamikazee, Toni Gonzaga, Cueshé and Shamrock. If any of the AP community are interested and open to any sort of new music, try some from the Phiippines. It's good stuff!

Do You Still Watch Your First Anime?

2 years 2 months ago

"Damn right! Neon Genesis Evangelion will never get boring to me. Though I still don't understand it as much as most, I'm very determined to fully understanding it. I've watched it dozens of times and I seem to learn something new from it every time I watch it, it's just a great series!

And if I had Samurai Puizza Cats, I'd probably watch that just as much. I pretty much grew up with that animé. A pity that the VHS tapes that I used to have were lost the last time we moved house. :( I'm probably gonna download the series again, unless they bring it out on DVD.

Cute words said in anime

2 years 2 months ago

"Osaka-san from Azumanga Daioh, if any of you all have seen her sneeze, it is the funniest and cutest thing I have ever seen. Everytime I see/hear it I laugh so hard I cry! Its so cute and funny, that alone makes Azumanga Daioh an awesome animé. If you haven't seen it, download/buy it now! NOW!

The way Nyuu says "Nyuu~!" and Chii's "Chii~!" come a very close second and third. Hmm, who else... ooh, and the way Misuzu Kamio from Air says "V!". Thats pretty damn adorable as well... Oh, and Tessa from the FMP series, she is just absolutely adorable! Her Japanese voice actor (Yukana) has the cutest voice and suits Tessa's character completely.

How long did you watch anime, when and how you start

2 years 2 months ago

"
Tom-Riddle
I started watching anime when I was 8 years old.(So, for about 11 1/2 years now.) The anime that got me into it was technically the first one I saw: Samurai Pizza Cats. I had no idea it was anime at the time, but I loved it. The story of how I got into anime is WAY too long to type, so I'll cut it short. ^^;. For the most part, I recognized the style of Samurai Pizza Cats, and kept watching anime because I liked that series, and figured I might like others, as well.(Luckily for me, early 90s anime looked similar. Or I wouldn't have watched any of it. ^^;)
As for how I discovered anime outside the TV.. It technically was because of the ads in Pokemon comics. They advertised Animerica in one issue, and for some reason, I ended up buying an issue. The issue caused me to learn about other titles that weren't seen on TV, and caused me to want to buy some of them.
>>;. I talk too much.

That one animé completely got me hooked on anything animated! Samurai Pizza Cats was the SHIT when I first started watching it, which was.. I'm guessing 11 years ago now. And I haven't stopped watching animé since. Other than SPC, NGE was another animé that got me completely hooked when it first come out here. As soon as I first saw all 26 eps of it, I had to watch it again because I didn't completely understand it, and still don't completely understand it now lol.

Besides TV, I discovered that most of my friends were into it as well, so I started borrowing some of their DVDs which made me want to purchase them as well. But it wasn't until I got Broadband where I started going crazy with animé. I have seen so much animé now, currently in the middle of watching 12 Kingdoms and Last Exile. Enjoying them both very much.

Do you collect your anime series or you get rid of it when you watch it

2 years 2 months ago

"I pretty much keep all the animé that I download/acquire from friends, so that I can watch them again whenever I want. Unless it's something really worthless, I usually keep everything. I have at least two 200gB hard drives worth of just animé alone, though I don't usually keep any eps on my main drive, just takes too much space. I either back them up on the spare drives or burn them to DVD."

Last anime series you finished watching?

2 years 2 months ago

"The last animé I watched was Samurai Champloo. An action/comedy sort of animé with heaps of sword action, I would recommend it to anyone who loves stylish sort of violence. The scenes are amazing, especially some scenes with Jin and Mugen, the main characters. I wont go on too much cuz I might spoil it for anyone who hasn't seen or completely seen it.

I'm currently watching filler episodes of Bleach and Naruto, and in the middle of watching 12 Kingdoms (Juuni Kokuki). damn I hate fillers, especially with Naruto. Hopefully they should be finished soon. I want them to get back into the storyline. The fillers for Bleach aren't too bad though, at least some of the eps have something remotely to do with the actual storyline.
