"I still found some flaws you might want to edit.

- The wings, look at the edges and there very crispy? I'd suggest fixing that making it look more slick. The same goes for the polaroid pictures.

The petals are kinda transparent, when you are sure you want to use em, make sure they arent fully or not transparent at all.

Fate/stay night wall

"Nah I think the smoke is oke, although you might want to adjust it. Smoke aint that thick, You must be able to see through smoke and so see more of your wallpaper.

I disagree about boomboy said on the font. Personally I find the font not disturbing at all. It looks quite fitting to me. The problem for me though, is that it isnt readable on some parts. You might want to change the positions of your text and give it a 1 pixel border.

The pentragrams (dont know the correct word for it) on the background arent really original but a mere job of copy + paste of layers or brushing the same brush over and over again. Try to put on something more original or different set of background. I'm not really into the filteredbackground thingie, but that may be a personal opinion.

Another point is the text above Archer. I suggest editing it since it somehow doesnt work with the rest of the characters names. A change of title into a shorter one may do the trick i.e. : Fate Stay Night.

As mentioned before, Saber looks a bit grainy same goes for berserker. Other then that there all oke.

"Oke, here's my rant:

1) Your resolution isnt really acceptable nowadays. Although the minium requirement is 1024 x 768, I suggest you work on higher resolutions such as: 1280 x 1024 or even better 1600 x 1200. When users use a higher resolution and stretch out your wallpapers it really may look pixely and therefor ugly, we wouldnt want that! =(.
2) Your logo / text is catching more attention then the rest of the wallpaper which isnt a good thing. The characters should be the main focus of your wallpaper and the text/logo removes that focus. Toning down the colors might do the trick.
3) The brush thingies @ shaorans head and @ the right side (if you place yourself in her position) of Sakura? Is it snow? or merely an attempt to creat an effect? Whatever it may be, you really must consider removing it. The rest of the wallpapers looks really calm and soothing, the brush effect kinda disturbes that feeling... which is a pity.
4) The light on your wallpaper may be a bit overdone, although it creates a nice atmosphere, you may consider to tone it down a little bit.

"Well quite hard what to think of this. I like the cards though.

There are still some minor flaws in these wall such as:
- The background is too vague, all the lines doesnt seem really sharp, its like someone went over it with a giant eraser. This is for both of the character inside the cards as the mobile in the middle.

But other then that it may be your style of this wall but I dont know, find it hard to critize on this in someway lol.

My First Wall Needs Help...Please

"Well for a starters, your resolution is way too small to get accepted.

- 1024 x 768 is the minium requirement but I suggest you work at at least 1280 x 1024 or even better: 1600 x 1200.
- The outerlines of your character is really rough, try to smoothen them. Problems like these can easily by solved by creating a soft innerglow that mingles with the background. Its just of the 100's of methods.
- Your background isnt really original. Try to create something like a scenery where the character fits in. Or a style of background that mingles with the character. Remember that interaction between the background and the character is really important!
- You forgot to credit yourself on the wall! Always leave your name and more if you want.
- You might want to give your wallpaper a name / title / logo or something of that kind. It isnt necessary but it might be a nice addition to the background.

PROBLEM with wall!

"Well, I think the main problem is your use of copy paste here.

The character got copy pasted quite some times.

And your sub sentence as well.

When creating wallies, try to create something unique or try to imagine a scenery for your character. What is that character doing right now and where would he be if he is doing that *something along these lines*. Alot of people (newb's) start off with an abstract background and there's nothing wrong with that. Its just so basic, that that style of wallpaper wont get easily accepted by the mods.

It sounds harsh, but If I were you I would really start off from scratch. Your character extraction is for the biggest part clean. But when you look carefully at his hair, you'll still see some pixelly lines. You should really clean that.

I give you props for the resolution, there are still people that are creating wallpapers in 1024 x 768. They should be ashamed of themselfs :P.

You might want to change the background though in something that actually make her look like she's laying on something. "Well I have a vew things to say, for starters:

Dont listen to the guy above. Taking advise from others and taking critism can be very learnfull! If you really made an wallpaper for yourself, then whats the point in sharing it on Animepaper.net!

You might want to clean up your scan! Or vectorize it! Vectoring is basicly tracing your image and re-drawing it. It really isnt hard, it just takes some practice!

You can find alot of tutorials on the web, or on the following links:
1) www.good-tutorials.com
2) www.pixel2life.com

Or if you dont feel like vectoring, search uo another good quality scan in the image galleries!

If you dont have the software like Adobe Photoshop etc, you can use GIMP! Its free! I dont know the exact link so you can search it up in google :P.

The background is not really clear what it should be. Are those dark clouds?
You really might want to create a scenery that fits the character! Like a cherry blossom environment or putting her on a beach with a sunset scenery.

Letting interacht the character with the background is really important, as using background colors as fits your scan. Letting those interact is the basic formula of a good wallpaper.

Also the resolution of the wallpaper can be crucial factor for different users, if I find a wallpaper on 1024x768 these days I dont download them, because they have quality loss when you put them on my desktop wich has a higher resolution *1280x1024*.

If you wanna look up your desktop resolutions, go to your desktop, right click on it and click on properties > settings. You'll find different sizes concering your desktop.

"If you made it for yourself, then why post it on AP? You contradicting yourself, warning people to not tell you to change something, but on the other hand your asking for suggestions. Knowing the series and telling if the colors apply with the character is TOTALLY different and has no connection in whatsoever.

Well, my suggestions:
1) Hugen up the resolution, alot of people are using high resolutions then 1024 x 768, if other users has a bigger resolution, love your wallpaper, but will see pixels in it when they set it as background, they'll be dissappointed and change it. But.. you made it for yourself anyway...

2) Your character looks real rough in terms of outlines, they're not fine and you might want to change it, yet you dont have to.

A Tip: Filters doesnt make the wallpaper. Most of the time its the message in the wallpaper or the scenery, abstractness its really original, but I gues its an beginner phase. I started with abstractness as well.

2nd attempt for Heaven's Cafe

"Its been a really really long time that I comment in session zero, there was a time that you could fine me here most part of the day :P.

*talking about the newer version*

Anyway, the character scan you used is quite good, although when you look at her hair points, they look quite sharp. Soften them or try to solve it with an soft inner glow, that way it will take off the sharpness on alot of more points as well. The purple glow isnt necassery and doesnt quite fit the character with the background. It isnt really disturbing but it might be better to remove it.

Main problem with this wallpaper is the background, the style differs truely from the character. I do not know if you are familiar with vectoring, but maybe you could vector the background and make it a bit more abstract. The background now is really painted water verve style.

Remember that creating wallpapers is really an expression of what you are wanting to show/tell (hidden message?) us. Many people can disagree with a style but as long as you like it, its good, because its YOUR creation.

I'm not sure about the stars, remember that its an park and I cant imagine any scene from a park where I can see starts behind the bushes lol. The character might be a bit too light as well. I'd say darken her a bit, but less like the version before the last one.

"Quite good but there is still room for a tiny bit of improvement. Try to soften the edges a bit and smoothen up some lines. For example the hips. The backside of the hips are kinda.. not smooth lol.Other then that this wallpaper is quite hot :).

*EDIT* crap, I just gave my comment and there was an update XD. I prefer your first version. The 2nd version is too dark and I never saw so much stars when I looked out of my window, unless she's flying in a spaceship wandering in space... :P

I'd suggest adding some reflections in your first version and it'll be fine.

"Sorry! I overlooked this thread on the forum since alot of people are making new ones and its hard to track the previous ones.

Well, to show it is a window you could add some light reflections on it since there is a light beneath it. Add a colored layer and turn down the opacity. I think it may become more like a window that way, show us the results and we can always work on improvement.

If you really want an future like.. emm wall? try to add some lines and some shades of a dark colored blue or grey, something along those lines. You might want to use this wallpaper as an example Highlighted Wallpaper.

I really wasnt kidding about drawing the park yourself :P It doesnt need to be super detailed or anything! Just try to make some basic stuff and we'll help you with the process, dont forget that :p. A wallpaper takes time but it in the end It will look better instead of rushing the job.

Why not fuse all the scenes in one? Make the village background with a Red moon on top of the night sky with the 3 members of Akatsuki in front? It would be alot better that way instead of multiple scenery's at 1 wallpaper. The scan still needs some clean up and I suggest vectoring them. If you dont know how, search up some tutorials at the web.
