This wallpaper captures the urban essence that proliferated the art of Ghost in the Shell in every incarnation of the series. Phill does an amazing job of capturing a moment of surrealism.
While there are a few, stray building angles and shadows, you find that your eye forgives the minor details and instead focuses on the overall scene that is larger than life, with lights trailing off into infinity.

"Could you please upload your wallpaper at www.imageshack.us/ so that we can see a bigger resolution. Photobucket is resizing your wallpaper. Right now your photo seems too blurry. As for your question about how do you make your own sky and moon, well you can either draw it. That will take some practice, but you can find some tutorials if you go and search for it. This will help you get started out. Or you can do what you already did and use stock photos for your bg. You just have to learn how to blend it and add some other added effects so that it doesn't look too realistic. You might want to look at tutorials for this, as well.
Sorry that I don't have any links for tutorials for you, but do check out the resource group here in AP. They have a great list of tutorials and sites that you find tutorials at. You can, also, find tutorials of your own.
Sorry that I couldn't help you more than that. Well good luck on your wallpaper and don't give up. You have a great start here, but you just need to fix some things."

"I have to agree with you there. It is the same way as me. I change all the time, but not for the bad. People always think that I am who I was 10 years ago, but just like the world changes every single second, I change with it.
Oh I want to come with you on your little expedition. ;) Sign me up. lol
Well we better stop or else the moderators here will get mad at us for going way off topic. It was nice having this little forum chat with you, though."

"Nope, no problem there. Sorry on my part as well. We both misread each other. And I totally understand what you are trying to get at, but I like to just get more clarifications on things at times, to understand people better. I just like to understand people better."

"That is very true, but what are you suppose to do when "society" says that this is right and that is wrong? You really can't say anything, but the overall "beliefs of society" will change over time. You just have to know that "society" tends to sometimes say that this is right to do, when it is not at times. And people are scared of being different than what the majority says because you are the spotlight and have all of this pressure. In the end, though, it is the different people that aren't scared of being who they are are the ones that do something meaningful. Now, this can't be all be said about everyone, though. "

"No, no, I know that I don't know you. I just wanted some clarifications, but didn't ask you directly. I wasn't even implying it. That is why I said "it seems" rather than "you most of not." Anything in those means of directly saying that you are. Wasn't trying to stereotype you at all.I just felt that having really no feeling or concerned over a dead body was a bit too exaggerated."

"It seems to me that you haven't harbored any lost of someone that you cared for. You may say it now, but I am sure your atittude will change when you lose someone.
Just the way you say it, it is kind of really harsh. Having no sympathetic to a dead body especially a human body, is kind of brutal."

"Have to totally agree with you here on love. A lot of people feel that once you fall in love and everything is great in the couple months of your relationship, they get lost in how great it is that you must keep working on it. It is sort of like our bodies needing food. The food is the love and the body is us, and we must keep on eating if we want to keep living. So, hence it is sort of the same way.
It is great to want to live in a superficial world of the anime. When you think about it, though. An anime or manga is suppose to get your emotions high. It is the driving cause of what makes it good. That is why it is superficial. I mean I could make a movie about my life right now and I am sure not many people will watch it. It is the same way with history, it is just simply boring at times. We want something that makes us feeling good and that is great.
I ask you this, though. If most of us want something that is great, then why don't we do it? Why do we lie and deceive each other? Now this could all be our thoughts and beliefs colliding with each other causing us to conflict, but it gives you something to think about."

"I have to agree with you here. Even though it is different to see a dead body and even more mortalizing to see someone in pieces, I think what drives us to get freaked out is the fact that we start thinking about death. Our death and deaths around us. It is the driving cause of us getting freaked out.
I have to say that I have been to many funerals before and seen some really dramatic things, as well, but during the whole entire time when I am looking at it, there is not much going on. I don't really know how to act to it and just realizing that this happens is what makes me able to cope with it. All I can do is feel remorse and that is it. It is not that I don't care. I do, but it totally depends on person to person."

"No problem. I am glad that I could be of used. Just ask if you need any further help more will to help you out.Oh and if you find that you need help with GIMP you can always go to www.gimptalk.com/ They have links for tutorials there, links for brushes, etc. You can always use the links that people have put up here in the Resource Pool group if you need help. I'm not promising that it will be specifically be for GIMP. Just play around with GIMP because it probably has the same effects, but just named differently.
Well good luck and can't wait to see further updates.

"As with any photo editing program (or however you call it), it has capabilities of what a vector program can do, but to compare it to directly a vector program, then the vector program will win hands down. So, if you want a free vector program, then I would recommend Inkscape. www.inkscape.org/As for your query about can MGI Photosuite do vectoring, I don't really know. I am sure that it has some capabilties of vectoring, but not sure. I looked up some information about it because never really heard about it, and some people say that they use it to vector out some of their works, but that was the extent of using its tracing capabilities. I don't really recommend vector tracing programs because it is always better to just trace it yourself as oppose a program. It gives you better quality this way.
Again with any program, it is more of how you comfortable you are with it.
Sorry for getting off topic.

"Aloha, Moddis. I am not fluent in Spanish, but I can help you out a bit, but it is hard for me reply back in Spanish, so forgive me. I'm still trying to learn Spanish.Anyway, there is no rough detail on when the moderators will get to approve your wallpaper. They should get to it within a couple hours or less. That is if you already submitted it.
As for the group, yes some group are like that on not allowing you to post your wallpaper for critiques in that group. All I can say is you just usually want to post it here in the Session Zero because more people will get to see it.
For your wallpaper, it is good so far and that size is find as that is the smallest size they will take. I just feel that your wallpaper is all pixelated on the bottom of your wallpaper and it gets a little bit blurry. You need to fix that along with when you extracted the characters out of their background.
Here is a tutorial that will help you out on cleaning your images:
http://www.imanimetions.net/tutorial/tutorial.php?view=clean
And here is a tutorial that will help you out on extracting images:
http://www.imanimetions.net/tutorial/tutorial.php?view=extract
Well good luck and I hope I helped you out. I will try to respond to your needs as soon as I can."

"I was referring to your main image of roy mustang. Not your white outline. I know that was intentional.Hmm... it seems like you extracted your whole entire wall, rather than just the image or Roy Mustang. But that could be my mistake. Anyway, it is a bit grainy still, you might want to do what SilentImage and infinityrulz has said. Or might want to play around with the extracting of just Roy. ;) Or you might want to vector out some parts.
So, just still fix the grainy of your wallpaper.
P.S. Make sure you have a signature. ;) If you turn a wallpaper without a signature, then it is an automatic rejection.
Well good luck."

"The extraction of Roy is grainy and a little bit of blurry. Go to this link to learn how to extract if you don't know how:http://www.imanimetions.net/tutorial/tutorial.php?view=clean
