While there are a few, stray building angles and shadows, you find that your eye forgives the minor details and instead focuses on the overall scene that is larger than life, with lights trailing off into infinity.

Moderator Status (Bug?)

Description: I was downloading a few scans yesterday when I noticed that the site wasn't looking for how many papers I had. I thought it was weird, but otherwise didn't think anything of it until this morning when I went on to the forums and noticed that I could see the admin/mod only section of the forum. Somehow I was logged on as a nameless moderator. I logged off and logged back on with my own username and passwork, and everything seems to be back.

Instructions for replication: I'm not even entirely sure when it started. I haven't had to log on to AP for months, since I have auto log-on enabled; and I don't come on very often, so it could have been that way for a while without my realizing it.
I'm using Firefox on Win XP. I have my username/pass saved in Firefox's password manager, which is probably how I would have logged on last time I did so.

Comments: Man, shouldn't have logged out. Free scans and walls... lol...

Anyway, I dunno if it's a bug or what but I figured I should report it. "

"Meh, photoshop's kinda expensive and I wasn't really planning on getting too into wallpapers. Especially since I'll probably blow all my money a Fanime Con next weekend... (._.); emoticon

As for vectoring, I could probably give that a try. I'm pretty experienced with Flash and could probably vector Kyon fairly well. And come up with some non-lazy-ass, easy-way-out background... If I have the time... (gah! homework!)"

"Heh, cool site. I've got tons of fonts, but somehow I don't think the Halo or Spiderman fonts would work too well with this...

For the background, I had originally intended on throwing in something screen capped from The Place Promised in Our Early Days, but I'd have to find the DVD. Hopefully the quality would be good enough too...

I'm not sure how much better I can get on the extraction. No matter what I try, it still seems choppy. I guess that's what they call inexperience... lol. "

"Thank you for all the advice. I've been trying some of the things you all suggested and I think its helping.
For one, I re-extracted Kyon from the background using your tutorial. I actually don't have photoshop... I use Flash and GIMP... (yeah, I'm lame like that).
I also gave the background some blur and changed the text fonts.
