After months of work, chanelqueen17 has created a gorgeous scene of Alice and Oz from Pandora Hearts, using scans that didn't even feature both characters together. Even after spending so much time on matching the details of the characters to their new looks, chanelqueen17 didn't stop there and went all out on the background too! This wallpaper definitely needs to be seen!

Anime And You...

3 years 4 months ago

"Rurouni Kenshin was responsible for getting me into anime. After finishing the series, I gained respect for Japanese animation, and looked for episodes on our local channels. Then I learned that my friends collected fansubs, and that was the beginning of my now growing anime collection."

Do you watch anime alone or with your brothers/sisters/friend ... ? and why ?

3 years 4 months ago

"I like watching comedy or action-oriented anime with friends, so we talk about it how cool or funny it is while watching. But drama anime I prefer to watch alone. I prefer watching with someone over watching alone, but I usually watch them alone because my brother is too lazy to read subs and no one else in my house watches anime. So I'm joined by my brother only when the anime has an english dub. It also helps watching with someone when the anime is just too deep and complicated, that way opinions can be shared, and I can understand it better."

Like what is a greatest anime in your mind?

3 years 6 months ago

"A great anime in my view would have great animation, first of all. That would pull me in initially. Then it's a matter of characters and/or plot to keep me glued. But I have a preference of character quality over plot quality. After all, with all the stories that man has ever come up with, it's really hard to be original. Characters, however, just have to be believeable and ones that can be relatable to. Then an emotionally powerful climax followed by a wonderful and/or unexpected ending would complete, in my opinion, a truly great anime series."

If you were the ONLY one offered to live forever...

3 years 6 months ago

"I'd love to gain immortality! Then I could go around doing good things for people. I could watch over my entire family's bloodline! And not having to worry about survival means you are literally free to do what you want! So that's no contest, I'd take the immortality. Even if I did live to see my children die, I would just comfort myself with the fact that I could watch over their children in the future :)"

Brainwashing...anime style

3 years 6 months ago

"Try finding out what she likes to watch that's non-anime. There's usually an anime that matches a particular genre of most TV shows or movies... unless of course she's into reality shows... then I can't suggest anything. You'll have to dig deeper..."

xxxHOLiC

"My curiosity was aroused when I heard that it was a CLAMP series (shamefully, i've never read the manga. Haven't read much manga, for that matter) and the fact that Yuuko of Tsubasa Chronicles (Is she an original character of this series, or Tsubasa Chronicles? Which came first?) was in it. I saw the first three eps, and I'm wondering what the big story of this show could be, because it doesn't seem to fall into any vague stereotype that I'm aware of. Either way, I'm very patient with my anime (I finished Zettai Shounen, and I'm proud of it becuase the anime addicts I know didn't give it a chance after watching four or five eps) and I hope it doesn't disappoint."

Subs or Dubs?

3 years 6 months ago

"I'm not really a "sub" or "dub" person. I watch what I can watch. But a preference for dubbed anime occurs only when the series is a slow-paced one. Personally, when nothing's happening on screen except for two characters talking, reading subs is tiring. I also understand it better when I'm listening to it in English (even though I know lots of meaning may have been lost). But for action paced anime, most english voice acting doesn't seem natual to battle grunts or battle dialogue. In that sense, I am divided and it really depends on the series for me."

A sense of design

3 years 6 months ago

"I got intimidated reading a previous thread about "simple" wallpaper design, and now I think I've lost confidence in making walls. I don't think I'm inept with art, I've had experience in drawing. But looking at the walls here, I don't think I can pull off such stunning ideas in my head. Do you think I need a degree in design, art lessons, or anything like that? Or will passion for a certain anime character be enough to pull off a truly stunning idea?"

The Female Gender! ^_^

3 years 6 months ago

"I have a younger sister, and I still don't understand women! But I don't let that confuse me when I'm hanging out with them, and just be myself, not bothering to think too much about what she's thinking. Guess that's why I don't have a girlfriend, eh? So much for "being myself"..."

Do you watch old anime now?

3 years 6 months ago

"I watch older anime when they're on TV, but don't make any conscious effort to buy DVD's or download from the interent. The oldest anime on my collection, however, is Card Captor Sakura, so if that's old enough for you, then I guess I do still watch old anime. It's still one of my favorites, and the oldest anime that I've got a copy of."

Main or supporting?

3 years 6 months ago

"I actaully support villains more. But not stereotypical villains who just loves to make people miserable. I see some villains more as realists, who do the things they do because they've been forced into a corner, or just got unlucky, and have to resort to what they do just to get by. I don't support most villain's actions, nor do I do what they do in real life. But sometimes, I just find most main characters' "gutsy" attitude to be too gutsy. That's why I usually root for the villain, and even though I know they'll lose, I usually hope they bash some sense into the more senseless main characters.

If the villain can't do that, then I guess supporting characters usually act as the main character's anchor. I know there are good examples, but I just can't think of any right now, but I think you get my point. So, yeah, I think supporting characters are cooler when the main character is too busy being a stereotypical "good guy"."
