"The reason you have not seen this "style" is because it is unattractive and easy to accomplish.

even if the wall is grungy, extraction should still be neat and clean.

try using less character images, and more abstract or objects.

you need to choose between red and blcak, or multitonal like the couple, because the two do not match.

the back image has like a dissolve filter on it...thats not good.

i don't see any birds.

i like the effect on the two on the bottom tho...try to carry out with that theme.

i think the hair looks hot orange...but he is too pale for me.

i don't see any jagged lines, but the ear does look strange to me...like blocks or something.
i guess there are small parts on the jacket, but not deathly serious one.

the white circle is a little out of place, but i like the butterfly...maybe you could make his jacket have some sort of butterfly print? (forgive me it is late)

overall, i heart this wall! (and i don't care, ichigo is still sexy in pink...)

Hey wait! ICHIGO! strawberries!! you could make those pink too right? (once again, i am very tired)

also, maybe try a more bold shade of pink?? not that this one it bad, it's just...i dunno, im pulling for ctriticism!

What is her mood like? Does this scene deserve a color? Should planets be involved? Fluffy bunnies?

"Try hosting your image at like photoshack or some crap like that, and provide the link for us to see.

please tell us what you did in the process of making the image, it could really help.
it looks like you just slapped a noise filter on a scan, plus the text is cheesy and dominates the wall, taking away all you may have put in the wallie. why not try vectoring the charas out?

there is also too much white behind las chicas...try painting a sky! be creative! use brushes!

i understand that you maybe feeling the sting of rejection, but don't worry, no one wants to judge your creativity or anything.
trust the mods here, just take a look at their own work! they are not "slamming" you at all, just trying to help you wall to your best ability.

actually, i am completely and totally joking, but you DID say hard so...

personally i would totally heart the bird if it where black...for some reason when i saw this wall i though of the song blackbird by paul mccartney / doves...but not toally black, but with some interesting textures maybe in shades of brown or somethin.
im not sure what you mean by "other" kinds of texture for this wallpaper style, im not sure what you want...so i can't really help there.

wish the sky had more color.
i totally agree with nuniko about the ray of light.

i'm so -X-cited (too much -X-treme cheer camp, sorry) to see the final of this wall...keep up the great work!

examining the characters expression, and knowing nothing of the series, i can tell you magical girl was a big mistake...

if you wish to do that please use a happier looking character with a less vacant expression. the "magic-flux-like-motion" is too solid and looks just like you dragged a brush across her hand...try making spaklies or using a a few sparklie brushes.

but color is what kills it in the end...notice how she is mostly wearing dark color, perhaps you could try for a bit of "black magic" lol.

"Well first you have to get a scan...that usually helps get ideas going.
I think some of the most important things here are technique and creativity....try a new idea, try drawing or maybe even vectoring.
but you still need a scan first, so sorry i can't really help you too much without something to look at. sorry!
