I'm personally hoping that Sasuke has figured out that Madara is using him (or twisting the facts) for his own gain, but the appearance of the EMS on Sasuke in the newest chapter has left me with a lot of doubts... I assume the EMS only comes about when the wielder has a goal of wanting to destroy a place or many innocent lives... that's my take on it, anyway.

Too bad Sasuke's letting his revenge get the better of him... Itachi's sacrifices will be in vain if he continues with this plot... :(

"Hmm... not a bad first-start, I must say.

The cut-out is still very rough and somewhat distracting, and the background is a bit too simplistic for my tastes, but from what I can see, you're heading in the right direction. It all depends on what colors you will incorporate next and how well you get the cut-out for the final submission.

Also, keep in mind that using texture(s) is not a bad thought just as long as you use it as minimally as possible and use it to make the wall stand out, rather than to use it to cover up mistakes and/or lack of inspiration.

"Well, from what I can tell from the small screenshot, it was most likely rejected due to the lack of proper coloring/brightness as well as the somewhat sloppy job of giving it texture and/or 'flow' for a viewer's desktop. When I see most walls on AP, a good chunk of them are high resolution as well as high quality in terms of craftmanship and design concept.

I'd first try to work a bit more on your flow and try to get a better feel for what is truly pleasing to the eye and then start onto finding out how to make the wallpaper the best possible quality you can make it for the viewer. If you do those things, I feel you'll be on the right path to having your walls no longer rejected by AP staff.

"Not a bad cut-out, however I would advise that you work on the lines a bit more thoroughly, as well as make the resolution higher for those that have more pixels in their monitors than others.

The coloring is good and I enjoy the image very much ;) Though, also, try not to fade the lines into the background to cover up the somewhat-messily done cut-out---usually whenever I see that done on a wall I tend to skip over it and not comment at all. Just a small bit of advice ;)

Some of the anime figures are a bit sketchy and not as well-done as the 'demons' but that can always be tweaked in time ;)

Naruto Chapter 374 (SPOILER)

"Is it just me or is there a crap-ton of foreshadowing in this chapter? I get the feeling that Jiraiya is going to die against Pein's hand; usually the theme of 'master being killed by psychotic ex-student only to be avenged by the current student' happens often in anime series and I can't help but feel this is the route the fight is leading to :(

While Pein's 'plans' for the Bijuu is somewhat just, I wonder now if Pein has somehow hypnotized the Akatsuki members into doing his bidding. The whole Itachi-killing-the-clan-to-measure-his-power would make sense for a sociopath, but Itachi's whole story and the clan massacre seems a bit off to me, especially since Itachi's character recently has been a bit... off and almost secretive. I get the feeling we'll be finding out the real reason for Itachi killing the clan sometime in the near future, I'm sure.

But I can't help but feel that the two pieces of the puzzle to the Akatsuki---as well as the rest of the ninja world---has always been Naruto and Sasuke. Just a hunch... ;)"

"Hmm... from what I can see, most of the wall is a bit too blurry for my tastes. Also, it looks as though you used the HD anime encoded raws to get the Haruhi picture. I'd recommend trying to just vector the image of Haruhi as well as a good portion of the image to give it a more sharp and 'wow' feeling when looking at it. Or perhaps that's just what I'm seeing from the small picture that you linked to.

Overall, though, it's not my cup of tea and needs a ways to go, but I hope to see more improvements from you in the future ;)"

"The theme is a bit too old-fashioned for me, and the resolution too small for my screen, but overall, it's not bad :) Like the others have said, you should make the text a bit more noticeable and try to sharpen the image a bit or give it some highlights/shadows to give it a more 3-D feel.

"I agree; it's pretty small for the sizes we have here at AP. My res is 1680x1050 and some have even larger ones than that ;)

I'd recommend trying to make the resolutions bigger without losing quality from what you've already done. Although, if you want to stick with that resolution, that's fine, but I fear there will be less people using it because of that fact: I know I never download or even glance at a wall that isn't the same size of my screen resolution or bigger if I choose to crop/resize it for my own settings.

Regardless, good luck and nice work on the wall. Though I'm not a fan of KakaSaku, I can tell you've put effort into it and hope you the best ;)"

Pein, leader of akatsuki

"I'm guessing that Pein isn't related to Naruto at all, though him being related to Jiraiya doesn't seem likely, since he calls Jiraiya 'sensei', which would mean Jiraiya was old enough to teach Pein when Pein was smaller.

Regardless, my bet's not on him being the Fourth or anything of that nature but more of a wayward student Jiraiya once had that turned bad. Wasn't there a picture in the manga of Jiraiya's team, or did he never have one that we know of? ;)

Can't wait to see who Pein is and for some reason, the past few chapters have been a bit ominous---foreshadowing Jiraiya's possible death and all that. The end is near for Jiraiya, I fear... :("

History of downloaded scans

"Hi ;) I recently asked a mod about the possibility of getting my download papers back after a recent computer crash lost all of my paper downloads, with no way to recover them.

Is it possible, in the future, to have a history list of every scan you've downloaded and have rights to download them again, should the need arise (i.e. you lose all of your files to a wonky computer crash or you would like to download them to another computer off your account, such as a laptop, etc.)?

I'd really love to see this feature available since I have to start from scratch off of hundreds of paper points I used in the past, and... yeah... it's pretty sucky to have to go through all of that again just to get back files you've downloaded before. If it were for files you've never downloaded off AP.net, yes, I can see the need to not have the feature available since it would basically be cheating, however... if there is a history list of every file you've downloaded, along with privileges to download only the images you previously downloaded with your papers, it would be pretty awesome for anyone that has had something happen like what happened to my computer. And I'm sure other users have probably had something like this happen to them before: be it they lost their paper downloads due to a sudden computer crash, a broken download image, or an accidentally deleted file :(

I hope in the future AP will have the capability to have this feature to better help members that have had unexpected errors with their computers/paper downloads.

I'd love to hear what the other members think of this idea, as well as the staff at AP.

Thoughts, anyone? ;)

SIbling relationship

"Sibling pairings, you say? Personally, I can never see the whole 'love your cousing, or sister/brother, or step-sibling' thing as sexually arousing. I think a lot of people love the whole concept because of its whole taboo nature, but there is too much angst in the concept to really hold much merit -___-

Sure, it's a better storyline, and it has a cooler conflict level, but I know that if I were in that situation, I'd never want to destroy my relationship with my whole family over someone that I had a romantic link to elsewhere in the family. It just seems too illogical to me, the whole 'family love thing'. Why only settle for one person in the family to love you and destroy everybody's relationship with yourself in the process? :\

And, no, I'm not old-fashioned---I'm actually a yaoi-lover, and get off on boyxboy smex, but anything incestuous-like just doesn't bode well for me T___T"

"I hate to sound cliche and contrite, but: I know exactly how you feel.

My family, who I love more than life itself, have pretty much screwed me over for a good portion of my life. Being around them depresses me since they basically use me as a 'whipping boy' instead of talk their problems out with each other.

It's painful, grueling, and demeaning, and more days than I can count, I just want to either give up or run the hell away. I'm in a tough situation since I owe them a great deal of money, and I'm financially dependant on them, so if I were to run, they'd probably track me down, drag me back, and force me to stay with them so they can continue to have 'normalcy' in their lives. They're selfish and immature, and more times than not, I'm the one having to take responsibility for their own actions.

I just hope that others don't have to go through what I go through every day. I'm still surprised I'm alive with how much they've screwed me up -____- Feel better :("

Itachi or Sasuke?

"Itachi def. has the edge over Sasuke, being the older brother and wicked-mysterious. Plus, any man that can wear purple nail polish and trot around with slightly homosexual garb is uber cool on my list---plus, it's enjoyable to think of the yaoi possibilities the manga instills in the reader.

Though, I will admit, Sasuke is my favorite, hands down. Despite not being as powerful as Itachi (as far as we know), I have a feeling that Sasuke will be the most powerful character in Naruto in the end. Everyone says that Naruto will be, thus the reason it is titled 'Naruto,' but I feel Kishi is just misleading us into believing Naruto will be the most powerful when in fact Sasuke will turn out to be the uber-strong ninja in the series. In other words: Naruto might be the strongest ninja in the end because of his strength of heart and determination, but Sasuke, with his Uchiha heritage and single-minded rage for revenge will end up being the focus character in the end.

I know I may not make much sense, or have a crazy view on this, but at the end of the manga, I have a feeling that Naruto will be the one to die, and Sasuke will be the one to live on and become the most powerful ninja for the both of them ;D We'll have to see, won't we? XDDD"

"Usually I look for three main things in an anime series:

1) Story
2) Character Depth
3) Emotion

If an anime doesn't have those three, pivotal traits in it, I instantly dump the series and wash my hands of it. There are so many anime series out there that lack those three things greatly, yet people still love such series. Makes me wonder why such crappily-written series become 'popular' -____-

Animation and design, of course, are important, but I can look past fugly char. designs and embrace a great story in an anime series, if those three things are present throughout. Sadly, it seems a lot of newer anime series don't live up to their predecessor's expectations... ;\"

Animes that made you cry?

"Wow... there have been a lot of anime series that have made me cry. Like most, Grave of Fireflies hit really close to home for me and I was bawling like a baby half-way through the movie, much to my friend's chagrin. Out of all the anime 'series' that I've seen, only a few have made me 'bawl' --- one of which was 'Full Moon wo Sagashite' and its ending... I don't think another anime series can make such an awesome ending, but at the same time make someone cry their eyes out at the poignant-esque feeling one is left with. Another one that made me cry big time was 'Air' --- which is vastly underrated T____T

The shoujo ones really get me, it seems -___-"
