"I run into a block after about 25 hours on most games. I was checking out my save files on one of my ps2 memory cards, and almost every game on there I stopped playing right around that point. Don't know why.

On the up side though, I did beat World of Warcraft ;-)"

"I'd say about a zero or one out of ten for me. I think the ideas I come up with normally are crazy enough...if I started adding impulsive actions to it...let's just say the results probably wouldn't be good for me XD"

"You could also try spacing the word "heart" more to the right so it's not on top of the bar...you might be able to leave it how it is (pink that is) if you do that...

I like the text and font you used.

The pink you're using (trying to work in a sakura color? :-) doesn't seem to work that well with the other colors (in my opinion). The 'H' in heart kinda blends in with the color behind it.

Honostly I think most of it looks great, I like where you positioned everything and the box you used for the character. I do think that stuff in the lower left could use some work though...it seems more like an afterthought than anything else."

"I like the pattern you came up with behind the figure, and the text in the lower left is cool.

The black bar doesn't seem to fit for me...while everything is flowy and grey, it just seems...black and solid.
(It might just be that the figure is in front of the bar and the pattern behind...have you tried the bar at the very front of the image?)

I think the character would do better with more than just gray...and no drop shadow. You could try stroking it with black and connecting that with the bar. To continue the theme of the pattern you could also put a white track around the inside of the character and still leave more of it gray.

Anyway, cool start, and hope what I said helps and/or makes sense :-)"

Another approach would be to establish her as king of fighters (or king fighter...but shouldn't it be queen? :-)

"Making your ownis always an option. Even if you just have a program like paint you should be able to crop an image to the right size.

Looks like you have plenty of papers so you could check out the scans section for an image to work on.

(Marines are awesome by the way...I was in the Air Force for a while, and you guys did stuff I was glad not to have to do)"

"It is pretty bad, but hey, pizza is good :-)

It's pretty much the ultimate bachelor/college food. No preparation, and all my meals are taken care of for the next day or so. Pizza for dinner, then breakfast and lunch the next day. Can't do that too often though or I'd probably get fat :-)

My favorite pizza place is a little shop in Seagrove Beach Florida. One of my dad's friends opened it a while back and I can't even describe how awesome the pizza was there."

"The ending of cowboy bebop did make me shed a couple tears, but it wasn't really sad to me...it was just awesome...a really good ending.

The one I cried the most during was Wolf's Rain. I was going through a pretty tough time when I watched it, but still, I'm a guy ( and guy's shouldn't cry right? ;-). Pretty much the last four episodes had me crying, and one of the last four I started bawling like a little baby..."

"One that would be hard to make but that I'd love to see would be Castlevania: Symphony of the Night.

It would be hard to cast, and there would be a ton of action (which would be tough to do right), but I think there are enough characters and background story elements to make it work."

Final Fantasy XII not that good

"I liked the different Tenchi series a lot, and I still think they are really funny. Since then I haven't really gotten into another series like that...it's kinda hard to say though. So many series have that as a part of it now. I wouldn't think of Rozen Maiden as being a 'harem' type show, but it kind of fits the mold."

Thanks a lot for pointing out the location problem with the guy on the right...it's a shot from my old apartment, and I guess I was just looking at it so long I took it for granted he was behind the counter. When I looked at it again after reading your post though, I couldn't tell any more, so I'll try to dodge some of the stuff in front of him on the counter (he had black pants, so the black bowls on the counter kinda blended in).

His face probably should be pretty dark, but then again I'm not totally sure. He's almost directly beneath the light, but a little back from it...

umm yeah character on the left, lighting looks iffy for the right guy...

not really sure what you meant there...but thanks for everything else :-)"

one thing that works really well for 'graffiti' type images (if you decide not to use the bricks) is a concrete or cement type texture

if it's possible for you, snap a quick picture of the side of a building (or even a sidewalk) and try setting the layers to overlay (if you have photoshop)

hope that is useful in some way"
