This wallpaper captures the urban essence that proliferated the art of Ghost in the Shell in every incarnation of the series. Phill does an amazing job of capturing a moment of surrealism.
While there are a few, stray building angles and shadows, you find that your eye forgives the minor details and instead focuses on the overall scene that is larger than life, with lights trailing off into infinity.

"Nice concept, but it's very flat...the background looks just like a simple gradient, nothing much in the way of texture or blending at all. Nice screenshots, but if you could find someway to make them interact, it would make them even more awesome. But yeah, it looks too simple, in my opinion...nice concept though!"View

"It also doesn't help that the picture you used cut off Sasuke's kunai. The white around them...was that just a soft edged eraser?? Looks like you might've magic wanded the top of sakura's head...Yeah, there's almost not blending in of the picture, the edges are too rough and pixellated, and does the photo have anything to do with the picture at all? It doesn't look like the background adds much to the wall as a whole. And ditto what they said about the photo. XD sorry..."View

"The composition of it looks good, and I especially like the flow of it. The stock doesn't seem to be blended in with the background as much as it could though...He's in a raging inferno, why does his clothes still look perfect? That kinda stuff...just little brushing on top, blending a little bit should fix it up. The texture looks fantastic though...and the background is great! Did you use a stock picture for the crumbling building or was that part of the scan, or did you make it? Whatever it is, it's a nice touch. "View

"I can kind of see what you were going for, with the simply gradient background and the glow around the stock...but frankly, that way, it looks kind of plain. Considering how the colors don't really match with anything on the picture itself, the gradient almost looks kind of random. ANd like prest said up there, the glow around the stock detracts from the feel of the wallpaper as a whole. There's not really any flow, and I'm sorry to say this, but the text distracts more than it adds to the wallpaper. I can see what you're going for though...can't wait to see what you do with it!"View

"So I've been fairly active, downloading, commenting, and whatnot, but never really got the nerves to intro myself. I go by the same name on Bleach Forums if anyone's active there. Anyways, I've had about 6 months experience with Photoshop CS2, and most of the stuff are sig banners...never really had experience with wallpapers. But the stuff here has definitely inspired me to at least try. I lost 100 paper for submitting a wall earlier though, so I figure there's more I need to learn. ^.^ Thanks in advance!"View
