That's good that you want to learn from your mistakes ^_^ But there are some people here that really don't care too much for the really small details...so I just thought to ask first before I go through the trouble of pointing out small things I noticed...and have the person not even care and bother to change anything ^_^

I think your wall is absolutely adorable! ^_~ I would say that I like the first one more since there is more detail and interest in the background...

Just a bit that I would fix would be...to move the moon (with the text too) down some...use your own personal judgement as to how much ^_^

There are also some minor things to fix...but I'm not going to bother you with that unless you want me to ^_^ The details aren't going to DRASTICALLY change your wall or cause it to NOT be accepted...just the little things ^_~

But I really like this wall! Work kard and submit it soon! Halloween is coming! "

Sure it's a little awkward when people ask me "What are you always listening to?" or "Can I see your playlist?" (<--on my ipod ^_^) But I don't really mind as much as I did before...A lot of my friends listen to really "different" kinds of music...and I'm no exception ^_^ "

"I think that it looks really cute! ^_^ But...the background doesn't match the artwork's style...but honestly...I don't really mind that much...I think that if it looks nice...then it's okay! ^_~

But the one thing that I'd definitely change is the color of the text (which I'm sure you thought about quite a bit and just stuck with black until someone commented on it ^_~) And sorry if I was wrong...I've never been all that great at guessing...T^T

But maybe make it all glowy and stuff like the lines around the girl...That would looks nice IMO...

And just a question...do the lines around the girl serve a purpose? Like...it is a part of the series or something...or did you put them there for decorative reasons? If you used for decorative purposes...you could keep them if you want...I would just make more of...a design (? I can't find the right word at the moment T^T) Like...give it a bit more form...instead of being really random and just "there"...But you could also remove if you wish...I don't think that the wall will lose that much if you take them off ^_^

And a small thing that I noticed (that I'm sure not many will ^_^u) On the girl's head...on the left side...it seems that you extracted it with the pen tool or something similar...and then on the right side...it looks like you just erased it...I suggest using the pen tool ALL the way around since your bg is very sharp...so your image should look sharp as well...it will look better...I think... ^_^

And just another thing...I noticed that the color is a bit off too...the bg is all the same color...while the girl has a few different colors on her (like the pink for example)...I would try to blend either more color into the bg or less color on the girl...

But the wall looks really cute! Keep working! It will look amazing in the end! ^_^"

"It's a very pretty wallpaper indeed! ^_^

But a few things could be fixed on it...first of all...I would make at least the right hand side of your wall brighter...it's very difficult to see (at first...it looked like it was just black on the right side...but when I looked closer...I noticed that you had a very nice bg there! Don't hide it! ^_^)

But in addition to making your bg brighter...I would say to make the girl darker as well...You don't really need to make her darker (by like changing the Brightness/Contrast) but by adding darker shadows and stuff to her...right now...she stands out a lot and looks like she doesn't really fit with the rest of the wall...So REALLY try to look as if the flower is giving off a birght light instead of having her look like as if she was in a bright room or something ^_^ I hope I wasn't too confusing on that...If you don't understand...just ask me to clarify more...I'll be more than happy to try and help again...

And don't forget your sig! And if you want to (but it isn't necessary) you could also add some text...but if you don't like text...then it's fine ^_^

So...just as a general thing that I saw on most of your walls...(I'm gonna wait for the one wall per thread to comment in detail) I really think that you need to do a better choice on the fonts...Most of your walls look pretty nice...but the font just ruins it in the end...and I'm sure you don't want that! ^_^

I do have to agree with the above comments on how you should change your sig a bit to blend in with the background better and not stand out so much...you don't want your sig to be the focus of your wall do you? ^_~

But I've never seen this anime/manga before...or is it Original Art? Do you think that you could post the orginal too? Or where you found the original scan? That would be great! ^_^

looks fine and keep the effect. but i have a question: in parts, there are lighter lines outside of the regular outline. what are they and why are they there?


I actually know what asa01 is talking about! ^_^ My guess is that those white parts are just extraction errors...easy to fix...The bg of the original scan was white...but it could also be some outer glow thing too...I'm not really sure...

You could fix it if you could...but if you can't see them...then...that would be quite difficult wouldn't it? ^_~ But it's looking nice! I would personally make it...what is it that I'm looking for...uhhh...contrasted maybe? Their skin looks a bit too bright/white...maybe tone that down a bit?

And I would also fix your sig a bit too...There's no need to make it really fancy...but if you want to...just make sure that the ENTIRE thing (including the textured bit) is hidden under the taskbar ^_^

To make a wall with Paint.net huh? Hmm...I just looked up the program like a few seconds ago and found quite a few things that you could do...It definitely isn't as popular as Photoshop...but I'm sure it will do fine ^_^

From what I could see...Paint.net isn't TOO different from Photoshop...to start a wall...first come up with an idea for how you want your wall to look...after that I would just google "paint.net tutorials" (or more specific) to find tutorials to help you create the ideas on your wall...Then after that, make a new document with one of the appropriate sizes that could be found in the FAQ on AP (most popular size is 1600x1200)...then just have fun! ^_~

If you need anymore help...SZ will always be here for you! Good luck! And sorry for not being able to help you out too much T^T I've never used (or actually heard T^T) of Paint.net before..."

Swimming goggle underwater_Need help

"Well...for the goggles...you could always find a stock image that you think would fit the wall and then vector it...if the stock isn't completely to your expectations...find one that is as close as possible and then just change what you have to on your own...there are many vector tutorials out there...there's even a thread here at AP devoted just to vector tutorials ( here) ^_^ But you could also go about it many different ways depending on the style that you want...you could even digitally paint the entire thing is you wanted to! ^_^

But as for the glass in the goggles...I'm not sure what to do...I would honestly just make the glass like regular glass that isn't underwater...I'm not really sure how much it changes once it is submerged...

And for the bubble text...I'm kinda confused as for what you are asking for...Do you want text that is really fat and rounded? Or do you want a more normal text surrounded by a bubble? But you are going to have to clarify a bit more...sorry...But if it is just the fat text that you want...just download a font from the many sites on the web (A good one here) And then install them...

@fayt19: to draw from scratch is to start with a completely blank canvas and creating everything on your own...roughly anyway...you could always look up the definition or whatever online

So what's the difference between fan art and original art?

Does fan art have to have some item directly from the official series? Or is it merely the concept that makes it fan art? And what if you have fan art based on another piece of fan art? Would that make it fan art too or something completely different?

And must all wallpapers here be fan art, or can there be originality in the limited space that is defined as "fan art"?

BTW, comments are still welcomed...legal or not I still want this wallpaper to look pleasing ^_^


Wow...that last comment made me quite confused <brain cramp> But...honestly...I really don't see why EndlessBlue can't submit it...I see the 3D rendering kind of vectoring...he just copied the picture in order to make it clearer/better in general...Just as long as he doesn't submit it as a scan it seems fine to me...

But to Endless Blue: the difference between fan art and original art is that original art is an image that you created on your own from your own mind...while fan art is recreating the idea of another artist (roughly anyway) For example...say you just decided to draw a girl...any girl that you just designed on your own recently...and then you liked it so much that you decided to wall it...that would be considered original art..."

I think what hatesyou meant was that in the url that you put on your wall (also the sig in this case) the part that says "deathangle135" is not your user name here on AP...you have to put somewhere on the wall saying that dreamer135 created the wall or else the mods will reject the wall thinking that it was not made by you...

"Wow! Nice wall! I really like the background...very pretty...^_^ I also think that your sig should be a bit smaller...But I don't really like how the text is right on top of everything...see if you could find a better place to put it...

But I'm noticing something...on the girl all the way to the left...on the top of her hair and extending to the top of the wall...I see a bit of either extraction error or just some weird lines...I would remove them...even though I don't really know what they are anyway...

"I think your wall looks really cool! ^_^ But a few things could make it even better! For example...a sig! You definitely shouldn't forget to put your sig on your wall or else it will be an automatic rejection!

I'm a little confused about a few things though...at the top of your wall...are you aware that there's a white section that goes all the way across horizontally (except for the bit of brush work)? I would either get rid of it...or make it the same on the bottom half...because right now...it looks quite out of place...

I also don't like the three blurry block things in the upper left hand corner and lower left hand corner...you could leave them in (so the wall looks a bit more balanced) but if you do...I would just leave as blocks and not so blurry...and also move them in towards the center of the wall a bit...because they are right up against the side of the wall right now and don't look all that great...

As for Ichigo and Chad...there seems to be a clash of two different styles right there...a part of the upper half is extracted while the lower (and the jackets) is vectored...I suggest vectoring the whole image instead of just a part of it...and also move the scan/vector over to the right one pixel...if you look closely...you could see that it doesn't quite hit the side of the wall...^_^

Also...the DDR arrows (that are really small)...I would get rid of them too...I just don't think that they really fit for some reason...and same goes for the bit of small text that is purple...I mean...you could leave it but I would put it somewhere else...right now it looks as if you just needed to put it somewhere because you have the yellow one cleverly placed already...

Now about the text...I'm sure you could find a better font to use than that...I believe in you! ^_^

And one more small detail thing...between the text and the nearest yellow oval bubble thing...I see two small purple dots...are they supposed to be there? Or was it something left over from a brush? Whatever those mysterious dots are...please erase them...I'm sure you don't want them there either...

I hope I hleped a bit...and sorry about all the small detail things...I have a bad habit for doing things like that...and once you finish vectoring...I'll come back and help you with the vector as well! Anyways...good luck on your wall! It really is coming out great! ^_~"

"Well...for making your day pic into a night one...just google "day to night photoshop tutorial" I found quite a few that you could look at...try a few of them out and see how the results look

As for making the picture into a more animelike picture...I'm honestly not sure what to do...a lot of people just leave the realism and instead of trying to change it...work with it...I guess it really all depends on the style your wall is...that's all
