"For the moon comment...yeah...I'll be a bit more specific. What blu3angl wants (I think) is for you to take the moon and either do a horizontal flip (edit>flip hortizontal) or rotate the moon counter-clockwise some so that the pink part is facing closer toward D instead of away. The results would probably come out better if you redo just the shadow part...but only if you haven't merged all the layers together. That's about it for the position. I sure where the moon is now is okay.

Honestly...the part that I really agreed on the most is the color. Probably more red than purple...and thus probably changing the color of the sword aura.

And as for the lines...it just looked like the brush that you used got cut off a bit on the end. That's all. If you smudged it outwards a bit, I'm sure that it looks fine.

And I do hope that you use the blue color advice! It would blend the scan in better with the background. So that the jewel doesn't stick out as much...seeing that it is definitely not the focal point of the wallpaper.

But if you do have any problems with the star field...you could always ask. SZ will always be there for you! (at least most of the time ^_^)"

You can see them if you look carefully...it's probably easier on a bigger shot.

Another thing though...I don't really like the color of the sky...purple just...I don't know...it just doesn't fit for me. I think you should play the sky off of the jewel thing on D's neck...the lighter blue set at Color I think would look nice...your choice though. And I agree with the moon comment that blu3angl gave...but the moon does look a lot nicer though. Good job with that! ^_^

And the hat looks better too! ^_~

"I like the concept of the wallpaper...but I agree with the others that a little tweaking must be done. I know that you are only a beginner but a great tutorial on making planets (the moon in this case) is here. I also have one for making the starry background too, here. Both tutorials are done by the same artist but on different sites...that's all. Making your own background would make it muck easier to control the color, detail and such. If you can follow them, the results should come out really great. If you any help...just ask! ^_^

Just a few small details...the top of D's hat seems really...I don't know...sharp (can't find a better word...sorry) the outline of the hat doesn't blend into the background that well. An easy way to fix that would to take the eraser tool and with a fuzzy brush (maybe 9 or a bit bigger) and just carefully go around the edge. (I'm sure that there are many other less tidious ways of doing this but this one is probably the easiest for you) Also under the title...there seems to be weird lines that look like the edges of some copy and pasteing. I don't know if it is only my computer or not so...I just thought that I should mention it just in case. I would try to get rid of them (I would normally use the same eraser method but with a big brush like 100 to 300 depending on the size of the wallpaper). Just try to make them blend together...that's all.

And about your sig...just make sure to tell the mods about how you use that name for other things. Honestly, I find it a lot easier to just change it.

But the wallpaper is really looking great...I can't wait to see the final result! I just love Vampire Hunter D! ^_^"

If you plan on using the name you did...you'd have to explain to the mods and stuff that THAT is your name and...I just recommend not doing it.

Other things you could put are the series name, author of series, the place where you got the scans (unless you scanned them yourself), etc.

The title needs to be moved. A bit the bottom right of the title gets hidden behind the taskbar.

And the edges of the pictures seem to be a bit jagged too. But I'm not sure if you could fix that or not...just thought that I should mention it anyway.

"This wallpaper is so KAWAII! ^_^ I would just change a few things though. First, your sig should be at the bottom of the wall so that it is hidden by the taskbar. I also don't really like the font used for Violins. You should probably stick with the same font that you used for Strawberries. It seems to look cuter. And I would change the pink font color too. Especially for the Strawberries, it blends in too much with the rest of the dress and stuff. I'm sorry that I can't think of a suitable color for you to change it to though...gomen. Maybe just try to experiment a bit...and the & sign isn't that noticable either...it took me a while to actually notice that it said Strawberries & Violins.

But good luck on the wall though. I think that it would definitely be accepted after some minor changes. ^_~"

"From what I can see so far...the edges of the vector look kinda jagged. I don't know if this was file error or something but it should really get fixed. And as for the outline...it isn't always necessary to put one on the vector. Sometimes an image just looks nicer without it. In the case of this vector, I would say to leave the lines out.

And is that the actual size of the entire vector? If so, I recommend blowing up the original image and doing a larger vector...unless you plan on using the vector as a small part of the entire wallpaper. If you start bigger, you can always shrink it to the desired size which usually helps with cleaning up some small details with the final vector too.

But it is starting to look pretty nice so far. And I'm glad you decided to change the color of the cape. It looks better in red. ^_^ Good luck with the rest of the vector."

"You could try this tutorial from Imanimetions. But of course it could only help so much and it also depends a bit on the picture that you are using it on. Vectoring usually produces the greatest results (depending on how well you do it and how much time you put into it ^_^) Good luck on making your images better! ^_~"

"The wallpaper looks really nice so far! ^_^ The vector is really well done...it IS a vector right?

The left side looks a little empty though (which you probably noticed already) Maybe you could add some text or something...something relating to MI2 to really make it look like a parody.

But if there is too much empty space left, you could turn the entire wallpaper into a movie poster or something with the MI2 movie title. I'm not really sure what I would do seeing that you wanted it to look like the dvd cover...I personally like the wallpaper like it is this way, but the left side needs to be filled with something.

An added MI2 text logo would probably look best in my opinion. ^_^ Good luck!"

Cowboy Bebop Wallpaper.

"Compared to the second one...I definitely like this one better. Good job on the clothes! ^_^ But to me...the color of the characters don't look right. Try this...

1) take the layer of Spike and Vicious (did I get the names right?) and copy it.
2) Change the brightnes to -30 to -35-ish
3) Copy the original layer again
4) Filter-->Noise-->Median and set it to 5 pixels (this part is like the tutorial from imanimetions.net)
5) Set the layer to 50% opacity at Soft Light

If you want to...you could use steps 4-5 for the entire bg too instead of just the character layer. It just makes it a litter darker and makes the brighter part standout more.

As for the Cowboy Bepop logo in the corner...it looks a bit blurry and jagged. You could keep it if you want to but I suggest trying to find a bigger one, extract it, and shrink it to the desired size. But not too big or else you might lose important detail.

And I also agree with adding some text to it. ^_^ Good luck though! It's coming out really nicely."

"<stare at post> good enough for what? A wallpaper? If so...I honestly can't say T^T Sorry! I recommended putting a black bg or some very dark color behind the scan when you are extracting it. It would help to notice any white lines around the edge and such. You could also put lighter colors (such as white as you did) to check the outline of the scan to make sure that it looks full around where you extracted too.

But for what I can see so far, the outline needs a bit of redrawing around the outside. (seeing as the outline of the girl in the middle of the scan is much thicker than the outside) It isn't too difficult to fix though. If you have Photoshop, you could use the pen tool to redraw the outline. Here's tutorial in case you don't know how to use it: here.

You also need to work a bit more around the shoes (like you said). If you look at the front of the shoe, you can see that it isn't round but rather jagged. And it also looks like you cut a bit of the shoe off in the extraction. There are a few other parts that you seem to have aciddently cut too. I've circled them in red. (I hope you don't mind me using a copy of your image...I'm just trying to help!)

"WOW! That's a nice wallpaper! ^_^ A few things I want to mention though. About your sig (like mblack said) and possibly what blu3angel said about the thing on her back...not sure though T^T With her ties on her back which have black outlines...I would remove the black outline if possible. The rest of the vector is outlineless and then...there's that one part. And also by the top of her right shoulder...there's seems to be a minor vector error. There's a little black that is showing through her purple sleeve.

The hand also seems to look kinda funny...maybe it's just me.

And the part of the ribbon/string by her mask looks like you tried to shade it. I would remove the shading and just leave it white. It would flow better that way. Right now, it kinda looks like it was burnt.

I recommend changing the font...like you said as well.

I have to agree on most that was earlier said about the wall being a bit too realistic (but I'm not sure how to fix that) and the graffiti not fitting that well. For the graffiti...you should definitely change the color...but I honestly don't know what color it should be! Maybe black?...but that might blend too much and you wouldn't see it as well...hmmm...Argh! I can't decide! <mental strain>

And another thing...I also honestly don't like the light in the wallpaper. I'm sorry! GOMEN! <bow bow> It just bothers me for some reason! Instead...maybe you could make the spotlight in the middle around the pictures? And darken the outside of the circle. I know my explain is really bad so...I took your wall and kinda did it for you. I'm sorry that I took your work! But it was only to help! T^T Revised version Or something like that.

And I also read in an earlier post to add bullet holes to the poster...I think you should do it! It sounds really cool! I even will give you a decent tutorial here too! ^_^

Of course you don't have to listen to a thing I say...I enjoy helping...but sometimes my help isn't all that great. But the idea is really cool and I can't wait to see the final result! ^_^"

"You could post it here at imageshack.us. They won't shrink it. But from what I can see...(such a small image T^T) You may have to change the font a little. You can't really see what it says. And the boy's (the one on the left) is a little too bright. Maybe try to tone that down a bit? As for the background...hmmm...instead of just grass...you could add a pond or something! Seeing that they are holding a fish...otherwise it just looks like a random fish. (Note: random=not good)

But nice idea so far! Can wait to see the final result! ^_^"
