Why this obsession with Komugi?

"I like girls like Komugi, as well as Mint, Sakura (CCS), Kagome, Ruri, Mahoro, Asuka and Rei, and others because they are cute. I even have some fanservicey pics on my hard drive of a few of them. That does not make my like child porn or have a lolita complex. I avoid any hentai images of them, b/c I never got in to any of that and I just find it gross. But even if I did, they are not real anyway! Why should anyone be worried about the age of a fictional, animated character?"

What Qualitys Do You Look For In a Anime?

"There is so many good looking shows out there I have to pick out the best ones to buy/download. I usually pick the shows that are the most unique, have a good balance of comedy, drama, fighting, etc., have good character designs, and have good storylines. I used to have a problem buying anime just because the girls look good and show turning out to be crap, like Real Bout Hight School."

Disappointing/Over-rated Animes

"Nadesico-Overall I enjoyed the series, but the ending seemed way too rushed. The movie was good, but the ending was just too uprupt.

Furi Kuri- I didn't care for this show at all at first, but the more I watched it, the more I liked it. I have seen it about 5 times and I notice something different every time. Now it is in my top 5 list.

Jungle Nochi Guu TV series-The only reason I watched this was to see what crazy stuff Guu will do next. I love Guu! But Hale got really annoying screaming constantly and the whole deal with Hale's mom and dad was boring."

Dubbing STINKS!

"I've noticed the qualtity of dubs tend to go down when a show is licensed to be on TV. If it is licensed to just be released on dvd the quality is usually better. For example, I think Pioneer usually does a great job with their dubbing (actually it is Bang Zoom) but the dub of Lupin i was horrendous. I think the actors are talented, but was it really neccesary to make references to current American popular culture, like Shaquile O'Neal to get across to average TV viewers? I think not. Another example is in the first episode of Inu Yasha where Kagome makes a reference to Wizard of Oz in a scene where there should of been silence. Overall, I actually like the dub of Inu Yasha and I think it has gotten much better, but that first episode made me leary at first.

The greatest dubs were not originally intended for casual TV viewers, like Cowboy Bebop, Trigun, FLCL, and Tenchi Muyo. It bothers me when a new license has plans to be put on TV (like FMA)."

"After watching the trailers on fullmetalalchemist.com, I feel a little better about the licensing. Maybe this will be the chance for Funimation to turn their act around 100%. Not to point fingers, but shame on all of you who keep dling fansubs. Don't forget the fansubbers code. The anime industry has been nice to allow it to go on. Don't ruin all of it b/c you can't wait a few months to watch a show."

Which anime irritates you most?

"What annoys me the most are these crappy shows like Teen Titans, Totally Spies, Code Lyoko, and Megas XLR, which pretend to be anime, but are just badly drawn ugly pointless shows. Americans have a long way to go before they can compete with what comes out of Japan. The first thing we need to do is learn how to draw! In anime and manga the pen strokes are so delicate and flowing and the shapes are so subtle and rounded, while most American anime and manga wannabes draw like 8th graders! I know there are a few out there who are very talented, but look at those American how to draw anime books! They make me sick! Just because you have big shiny eyes and pointy hair doesn't make it 100% "anime" style."

You know they will. Funimation thinks that American audiences are too stupid to listen to music in another language, so they have to rerecord it in English. Geneon, Bandai, and Viz leave their music in Japanese, so why can't Funi? At least we don't have to worry with name changes, since the characters have western names. At least I hope not."

"I love Galaxy Angel! I picked up the first DVD at Walmart of all places and I have been hooked since! My favorite episode is ep. 7, where Mint wants to wear the chicken suit! I don't know if I could pick a favorite character, but Mint is borderlined as being no. 1. I have been watching some season 3 fansubs and they are so weird! The episodes never resolve, they just end."

"I loved the ending to FLCL. It is just like the ending of young pre-pubescent (sp?) relationships. It is sad and everybody gets on with their lives, but you grow up in the process.

I hated the ending to Big O season 2. I understood way more of the End of Evangelion than I did to that crappy ending. Also I hate the ending to Nadesico TV. I haven't seen the movie yet, but from what I heard it isn't much better."
