has anyone ever had a dream where they feel like they are awake with their eyes wide open? but cannot move or talk at all, and that your mind is telling you its a dream and you are frantically trying to wake yourself up?
i since the mind has captured the room before you slept (and maybe the eyes are still wide open) what you see is exactly what is there because when you wake up its like your eyes never opened or closed, only that you can move again.

i always find myself trying to talk but nothing comes out and when i do wake i sometimes get out a little yelp. not being able to move (paralysis) is soo creepy. and the strange thing is this dream is a dream that in my experience you can jump right back into it the seconds later after you pass out from waking up just seconds ago, and then the cycle of trying to wake up again starts. sometimes i turn on my tv and sleep on my side facing thinking it will stop the dream. for the most part it works but there were times when it still happened and i would see the tv flicker in my dream paralysis. i've found another way where i cover my eyes with my blanket (so that if i have a dream paralysis i wont see anything in front of me because that is what makes the dream so creepy... and it works pretty good)

i think i've read somewhere that this is a sleeping disorder, but not sure.
so has anyone experienced this before?
