aw c'mon ... you're not the first to get rejected or anything ... I remember working a whole day or even more on a wallpaper just to find that it was rejected ... or working 2 weeks on a wall that barely made it

now, about your stuff ... the colors are nice and all but it's not that good { n00bish hah XD okay, I'll shut my mouth now XD } ... the whole pixelation thing makes it look odd ... the quality isn't best either but that's not a major problem ... you should probably get rid of the pixelated loook and add some brushes or a background

I have no clue what'll happen to this after I submit it ... it might be popular or it might get 0 favs ... submitting it would be risky ... I risked once, the result being really unpleasant, so I'm not gonna make the same mistake again. ^_^;;;

and I know the quality of the scan is bad in some parts ... I'm currently trying to boost it as much as possible and hope to get a decent result ...

wtf, am I the only one who likes that lens flare XDDD ... but hell, you should listen to the majority and not me when it comes to that shiny thing ...

that being said, here's some advice ... hope it's of any use

if you can, vector the character, make it looks fancy ... the present version is just too dark ... it's taken from the manga, I think ... the lines kinda ruin the character { dunno what his name is since I have seen only 2 episodes of BECK }

and well ... maybe try a different color for the background ... just play with the hues to get a better color ... that red+green thing looks like Christmas XD

the sky is okay and all ... but the way the character is painted looks kinda sloppy XD especially the hair { is that the chalk brush? XD in case it is, you should switch back to the hard round brush or sth } ... you should work a little bit more on it until it looks better, maybe try some tutorials { www.deviantart.com } ... didja enable the shape dynamics? that option

the scan and background don't really belnd in so well in my opinion ... hmm, I see you made your whole sig purple ... you could try a similar thing here =D ... as in, add purple highlights and stuff ... and gradients :3 ... and textures ( XD okay, I say that to everyone, I'm obsessed with textures )

this may just be me but ... are the characters squished? ... they looks all ... squishy hehe ^_^''

anyway, it's a little too loaded with stuff and can give some people headaches ...

I say you make it a little simpler ... the upper left corner is ... I have no idea what's there but it looks like some useless detail meant to cover up the blank space ... I say you erase whatever that might be in that upper left corner and leave it black

... just so it looks simpler

sencodly, as a suggestion, you can try bringing Ryuk in the front ... he belnds a little too much with L's head

you can also play with the colors and make the wall look less "foggy" O____o

okay, these are not pieces of advice ... more like suggestions ... but anyway, you should definitely do something with the wall or else the chances of it being accepted are slim

remove the brushes or transparent things on the face of the character :P

... adding stuff all over the wallpaper won't necessarily make it look better

~ you should also sharpen the face, it's a little blurry

~ maybe highlight the red eyes ... they're too dark ...

~ the black lines at the bottom and top don't bother me, but they're easy to take out without any problems using the smudge tool :)

Hi! I haven't posted in Session Zero in a while, it seems O.o But since my previous wallpaper entry turned out to be a disaster and such, I think it's best not to take risks for the time being ...

So ... I walled a 700 x 500 screenshot, and didn't add anything special to it, just enhanced the quality { yeah, because repainting is slow } and restored some parts of it ... so please let me know your opinions and if you feel like it, maybe tell me ... ~ is the quality good enough? ~ do you think people will like it? ~would you use it XDD?

when I first saw it I was like ... whoa :P ... the general aspect is good and I like the colours too

but ...

what reeeally bugs me is the blurry-ness ... I dunno what to say, maybe you went for a more "grainy" look or dunno, but it's just not visually pleasing ... it makes it look like you used some low quality pictures to make it >.< but dunno, you should at least choose a focus point { the character or the sunset&bg } and un-blur that ... it'll look better I think ...

And there's a weird light in the sky on the left side of the wall ... but that's a minor thing

another small detail, in my opinion, would be choosing other symbols sorrounding the characters ... dunno if other people would suggest this but being the high expectation critic that I am { XD } I can say that using Adobe symbols is not very original ... that and the spiral looks weird ... but like I said, that's not really a big thing so you can leave it if you want XD

and also, apart form what has been said, you should also extract the character {Daisuke} with a little more attention. Part of his nose is missing and ... well ... the extraction is sloppy in some places.

for your first wall, it's pretty impressive.

what I don't like about it is the background and the leaf patterns ...

you should really consider changing the background color and adding some linear gradients to it. It would look cool!

also ... some textures would look nice

the leaves look odd ... dunno, maybe you should try different leaf petterns or give them a 3D look ... just as an idea >_<

you can add all sorts of stuff to your wallpaper ... from textures to gradients to patterns ... and yeah, adding a character is a good idea ... good luck with that

and don't make you wallpaper so blurry ... try vectoring parts of it

I think the tree is a bit too pixelated and doesn't create a nice effect ... just my opinion ... So you should choose the tree-less version ... anyway, now ~ *takes out mangifying lens* you should clean the scan a little bit more *is obsessed about quality* from a distance it looks good, but up close, it seems like it's made out of squares ... some gentle smudging should do the trick

and ... ummm ... guess that would be it ^_^ it's pretty nice ... good luck

you should most definitely choose the second one. it's much more realistic and ... well ... impressive.

part of the stock is blurry ... it's hardly visible, but up close it looks a tad odd ...

also ... just as an idea ... you should play with the water ... maybe desaturate it ... that blue seems too intense to me { my subjective self speaking }

and you should consider adding some writing ...

yeah, there does seem to be something missing ... maybe the background is too simple ... my advice would be changing the square pattern, maybe you should consider adding lots of spots to it {and also changing the color, but that seems like a subjective opinion} ...though I dono if that will make it look better but experimenting is always a good idea ^^ and how about gradients? :P they usually make wallpapers look nice ...

work on the background, try patterns, brushes, textures ... and {okay, possible silly suggestion} maybe make it darker than the characters O.o ... or just ... dunno, work on the background :P

one character is too contrasted ( though that can be overlooked) and the other is too blurry O.o ( if you can't modify it, my suggestion would be putting it in the background)
