"I'm not sure what your getting at Omni, I agree that It would have its pros and cons, etc etc, but the answer to your question stated in the first post is an obvious one thats been pointed out by a few people.

About the perception of war changing, no I don't think it would. I already understand that war is a necessary part of human existence, there has to be a balance of good and bad after all, but that still doesn't make it any more morally right to kill, and just because immortality would grant the power to resist age, doesn't mean we couldn't be killed by others.

In terms of finding a state of harmony or meditation, who's to say we would ever achieve that? Even in an infinite amount of time. possible, yes, but as likely as it is, its also evenly unlikely.

Agreed that majority of acts we do are selfish in origin, but the reason we have reproductive organs is not so that we can have our own personal 'legacy', but so that our race can survive. Thats life, survival is our instinct. When I was younger I didn't actually want a child, but I knew one day I would because thats what we do. Insects don't have brains that allow them to have wants or emotions attached to their children, its just instinct they have from d.n.a that they reproduce. "

I told the guy straight off that, that kinda stuff doesnt float my boat and walked away. It might have seemed rude but I was trying to make a point. It could be seen as flattery but not at the time."

"Diablo 2 did have some great music. All the genesis Sonic games had great soundtracks, FF7 too of course. The only tune I really loved from Chrono Trigger was the guardia forest song. JSRF has an amazing, amazing soundtrack, and so does Phantom Crash.

I love playing guitar hero 3 but in my opinion the soundtrack is somewhat lacking. I got reeeal tired of the old rock/metal songs like half way through it. Mix it up, jeez."

No one knows what happens when you die, so that point is invalid.
A humans breeding is not only a means to 'pass down a legacy' but also so that we can survive as a whole, in that sense, its not worry of 'accumulating legacy' which is a personal endeavor, but the want to keep the whole race going.

If you cant die you would achieve more yes, thats a fact because it takes time to do things. The point that some people have made is that what would these achievements mean in an infinite time scale? I'll quote the movie High fidelity: "Is it better to burn out or fade awaaay?"

Like I said it has its pros and its cons, I'm not denying that. But if it were naturally meant to be right now, we would already be living forever."

If long life = Boring
then turning that around, short life would = exiting.
Im not saying thats the case, I was just responding to that statement.
Im not in any way condemning eternal life, I'm just saying that if it was naturally meant to be, then we would live forever without a man-made aid. Like I said, no one has lived forever, so we cant know much about it! I'm sure it has its pros and its cons and if we are one day able to do so, then we'll know for sure.

Having the means to procreate is only a biological objective of a race that breeds to survive. In terms of the meaning of an individual's life, It can be do whatever the hell you wish. You find your own meaning over the course of your existence, life is only lived through the beholders eyes."

I can understand your frustration but that just isnt true.
In terms of your wallpaper I think [the first one btw] its decent as it is, the glowing eyes make it blend with the swirling wind thing more. The background is fine too, the black gives the foreground more impact because they contrast. The typography is nicely coloured and layed okay out but something about it bugs me, have a play around with the lay out, make the English words smaller etc.

If you have a play around with it, dont mess with it too much just tweek it, then im sure it'll be accepted with an okay rating. Remember, you can always do better next time! "

I just dont think its executed very well. The filters look kinda cheap and the character boxes look to sharp in contrast with the background. I know that was probly the idea but its not done to the right quality. Something bugs me about those white borders too.

Just have another play around with it! I'm sure you can do better "

But! the circles are an unnecessary evil man, filling for the sake of filling is always a bad thing. Try and come up with an idea or at least a theme and run with it. I Love simple wallpapers, but they have to have a high level of quality to get away with it, and at the minute, this is lacking just that!
