"God, where does one start. Any imaginable RPG except ephermal phantasia (Could be wrong on the name). 100+ 8Bit games, Almost every Snes, SMS, Genesis, Most TurboGrafix16, N64, PS1, and select PS2 games...
Waiting for PS3 to get a few games under it's belt, in the meantime beating the older games I never finished. A Gamers work is never done..."

"Letting your heart lead is a dangerous choice indeed. But the heart, as in science, would be a catalyst to begin reactions, your brain is there to either maintain the reaction, or clean up the mess. But in the end, there is only one thing based on the type of life that you want. Play it safe and let your brain think constantly and live in sterile and lifeless environs or let your heart lead and live with the mess. Would You Support a Murderer?

"I'm kinda curious. Define murder, for me, if you would. My interpretation of murder is killing for a selfish reason, or no reason at all. Killing is another matter all together. One can't equate killing for a living (Who? How? Are they part of Seal Team Six, Spetnaz or La Cosa Nostra? Contract Killer?) Death is the end result of life, as much as that sucks. If someone you loved was in World War II, and killed Nazi's so they would come and kill you for not being born as per their specifications, AND to come home to you, is that a bad thing? If a good police officer, shoots a serial killer in self defense, is that wrong? But even that has a price, killing a human is a species "aberrant-action" which can worst case scenario, as the old adage goes, "turns the monster-hunter into the monster". So in the end, Murder is wrong, killing can actually be good thing, but should be used a Last (or Only) Resort..."

8 was an excellent story and is a great game. The Hironobu fans usually use it as a fault to point out, but it's as different from the "old School" RPG's as FFXII is. If you like romantic storylines, lush backstory and powerful heroes you'll like it just fine."

Final Fantasy : The Spirite Within

"It's common misconception, the part of "it's not final fantasy". Hironobu fans say it is, Nomura fans say naught. It's really a potentially good story, but (in my opinion) in the end it wasn't really "fleshed out" the way Sakaguchi-san would have probably wanted. Either money or time constraints, I would imagine. It's a bit victimized, but still an essentially good moral story. However Aki was based on his mother, and I recall the fact Hironobu wanted an anatomically correct version of Aki created, to properly reflect realistic clothing. I mean based on his mom, I really couldn't go that far for realism, sorry. That I will say is hella creepy."

"Perhaps I over stated it. There is stealth elements in the game, but it's not the centerpiece of the game. So My Bad on that, but then again, I run around alerting soldiers all day all nite just to practice my CQC, so I guess that's where my mind is (Heh Heh). "Well, to be honest. They are all playing thru three factors. Microsoft is giving medium upgrades for a medium price, Nintendo is playing with innovative end user interfaces and Sony is giving revolutionary performance. So as always what it really boils down to is the games. In say, a years time, we will be able really judge each on these merits and be able to pick which really suits our personality. Nintendo is an excellent survivor and the nunchuk/wiimote will not (thankfully) be another power glove fiasco. Microsoft will have to push it's boundaries to pull in better than just local software developers, please don't get me wrong on that. What I mean is really look at the greatest concentration of top sellers, they come from Japan. There are excellent local software, but to pull better numbers than the competition, they would have to align themselves with larger Japanese third party developers. Sony is, well, a bit too confident in itself. That would be their achilles heel. to price point a system at 600+ dollars US, is, well, a little silly. No one will pay that for a first generation console, that needs to have the hardware issues exorcised from it. But my opinion, lastly, would be with Sony. With better performance, system wide, and the large base of high volume software developers with perhaps a down the road peripheral that mimics the functionality of the 'chuk, you already have your best bet."

"I really like FFXII, but I like the storyline in FFT, better. although both are lavish in detail. I found myself more compelled to Ramza's plight. I don't really see the difference in battle, it's just been kinda "covered up". Anyway, perhaps Vaan will fare better in FFXII: Revenant Wings."

"Wow. I'm sorry but you seemed to strayed from the topic. The topic here is Heroism in FF. I read your post several times to make sure, but all I found were personal preferences, and those don't really mark the traits of a hero. Sorry, for being blunt...
I would be curious to know which of the characters you think is the greatest hero in FF, based on actions, rather than eye color, as an example. Was there a specific scene that made you think of Cloud, perhaps that convinces you that he is a greater hero than the rest?"
