i really dont think they are going to do a remake of ffvii. they might, i have heard rumors of it but last time i read, it was to be a tech demo only. but that ff13 looks pretty damn good. although i have never played the ff series i would love to. but i cant get my hands on a copy of any of them.


if you ever happen to get any of the ff games
i suggest that you odnt get final fantasy x-2
because that was horrible horrible game compared to the rest
and if that is the first ff game you play..you might not want to play the rest

One of the games I'm looking forward to seeing is the one they showed at E3 with the card battle captured with the Eye-Toy camera. The game itself may be a bit childish, but the concept is amazing. They showed something similar the year before (at the time it was named as "Eyedentify") which allowed a player to give actions to the characters using expressions to the camera.

Some of the more normal games I'm looking forward to are Killzone 2, MGS4, and (if the battles really look the same as in the video) FF Xi. Warhawk showed some nice use of the motion sensing in the controller, but I'm not so bothered about that (if I was I'd be buying a Wii =P).

Well as all of you guys said before, I want a remake of FF7 for PS3 too! Since it was my first FF game I ever played, and I think that it is an awesome game, one of the greatest actually... (It's probably because I have become such a die hard fan of ff :P) . I think it would be just great to play it once again with high quality graphics and everything else PS3 includes. But don't you think that Square Enix will let us fans down if they don't do any remake?? it would kind of be very mean of them. And besides, if they really do a remake, they will earn so much money... because fans don't care about the money, but about the game they will receive, right? I think as well that many will buy PS3 despite the price it's going to cost, or perhaps some will wait until the price sinks;

Like many others, I plan on waiting for the price to drop down low. I plan on buying the system when it is about 3 years old. That way It will be cheap and I wil be able to play a variety of games. There is not really an initiative to buy a ps3 since blueray is still new and there haven't been any really strong stand out titles that are a must buy.

How is the PS3 not a next-gen games system? Can someone please explain this comment to me because I’m having great difficulty comprehending what Mr Thompson is saying.

The PS3 plays games doesn’t it? The PS3 is home to some incredible looking games like MGS4, Resistance: Fall of Man, Heavenly Sword, Assassin’s Creed right? And all those games have next-gen visuals that are at least on a par with anything the 360 has to offer right? So how is the PS3 not a next-gen gaming system?

If anything the PS3 is more of a next-gen games console than the 360, what with the ability of using Blu-ray for all games on PS3.

Sony also brought us the Walkman, the PlayStation & excellent TVs, DVD players/recorders etc & that doesn’t mean they will automatically ‘win’, nor will using Betamax, UMD or Mini Disc as reasons why Blu-ray will ‘fail’.

Comments like that only further proves that Microsoft are worried about the PS3 & are trying to damage Sony’s reputation with scare tactics & utter rubbish.

I liked number 2 the best although number 3 proved worthy of respect. It had lots of new features in number 3 like camo gear, food, ... Plus the storyline's great too. I wonder what Metal Gear solid 4 will look like. I've seen pictures of a main character but i'm not so sure it was the Snake. He looks pretty old though.
