This wallpaper captures the urban essence that proliferated the art of Ghost in the Shell in every incarnation of the series. Phill does an amazing job of capturing a moment of surrealism.

While there are a few, stray building angles and shadows, you find that your eye forgives the minor details and instead focuses on the overall scene that is larger than life, with lights trailing off into infinity.

Your First Anime?

"(n_n)/ emoticon

You're right about that. XD Sailor Moon and Dragonball Z were my first animes. And then after that I watched Card Captor Sakura, Doraemon, Ranma 1/2, Ojamajo Do-Re-Mi and other animes which has a hero/heroine that transforms and saves the world. I wondered how I didn't notice that long ago. Haha. I even liked Fancy Lala back then! >:3 emoticon

=( ) emoticon So much for that. But when I watched Naruto, it was then that I realized that I LOVE anime. Yaho! |(n_n)| emoticon

I started watching anime when I was in Preschool, so that will be 4 years old. Oh my. Hahahaha. How about everyone? .(n_n). emoticon"

Listen to that beat

"Like everyone else, I agree that the music themes help bring more mood and (how do you explain this) life to the anime. Just like Death Note, for example, the opening and closing themes both played by Nightmare suits Raito very much, if have seen the lyrics translated in English. And it's really good, because that proves how beautiful j-music is. To share, my favorite ones are from larc-en-ciel (Full Metal Alchemist and Rurouni Kenshin), Nightmare (Death Note), Aya Hirano (Suzumiya Haruhi ni Yuutsu, Ouran HSHC themes, Gundam Seed/Gundam Seed Destiny themes and Naruto themes."

Anime: Entertainment or Art?

1 year 6 months ago

"I think it's BOTH. Art because for my own opinion, I think anime has better art than the American cartoons (talk about Looney Toons) but we can't avoid that some anime really has poor art. In entertainment, sometimes people don't really pay to the art at all, if it's the anime with the great story and theme, then it's the anime to watch!"

Create your own?

1 year 6 months ago

"Hehe creating your very own anime/manga is really interesting and a great idea. If I was ever to make one, probably it will revolve over some high school anime, like Suzumiya Haruhi no Yuutsu and Ouran High School Club. In short, something modern-ish. But in my anime, it will have a very interesting twist. I like Kare Kano, a very simple anime that has a story every person can relate to. But even though it has a very simple story line and theme it stands out from with its unique simplicity. - And that's my idea for my own anime.

Anime is really unique that even adults get addicted to it. Well, who wouldn't? It has millions of themes and stories... Done with brains, class and art. But for the meantime, I will entertain myself in writing fanfictions. Good luck to everyone who plans to make their anime. It is my hope that you will succeed."
