After months of work, chanelqueen17 has created a gorgeous scene of Alice and Oz from Pandora Hearts, using scans that didn't even feature both characters together. Even after spending so much time on matching the details of the characters to their new looks, chanelqueen17 didn't stop there and went all out on the background too! "I got my mom hooked on Wolf's Rain, that was pretty funny. ^_^ They've always been cool about it, including like nudity violence and stuff. Which is good because since I draw and all that arty stuff, it would be bad if they were like 'OMG...THAT GIRL HAS..HAS BOOBIES!' or something crazy. "I think the bg photo actually really works with this. The only thing I would maybe try to change would be someway to make it so that her head/hair isnt blending in so much with the pink tree. I would say to put some kind of glow or outline around her, but I really think that would take away from the rest of the picture.Also, I have to say, no matter if it gets accepted or not, I like it. One should always try to improve, but as long as you are happy with it, thats what really matters. You know? ^_^ Hope it helped"

"Hmm..well..i think since you have this sorta blocky gradient thing going on, like with the tree in the bg, that maybe you should stick with that for the sky. "Ok so I did this wallpaper for Daa! Daa! Daa! nvm that people might not know what that is! ^_^One thing i have to say, the pictures are like marker/watercolor, so they do have some texture to them. I like the look of watercolor pictures so I tried to clean up the pic a little without losing the texture detail, which is why theres also texture throughout the pic so that it will match. The real version is gonna be 1280x960, I just made these smaller for file size purposes.
I did 2 versions and I'm just wondering which one people like better, and any other suggestions.

"I think the black around the ichigo text is a little too strong..kinda draws your eyes away from the main focus of the pic. Also did you blur out around his cape and whatnot? I'm not really sure how to word this, but maybe instead of blurring it all out like that..blur it out and then ad some kind of...like..brush stroke filter, oh like maybe crosshatching, something that will give the blurred strokes some kind of definition. I'm saying that because I don't know what the original picture looks like. But either way, I like it! ^_^"View

Is learning Jap for watching anime worth it?

"I have to say, I'm actually taking Japanese 1 this semester, and jolynda is totally right. I've learned a lot of words, or what my teachers likes to call "tourist speech", but I can only truely understand about 5% of what they are saying in most animes at this point..maybe even less. It will definitley take time. But Japanese is a good business language to know! Which is one reason I'm taking it, apart from you know..wanting to understand my anime! ^_~

Your worst habits!

"Haha..well this isn't really my worst habit, its more amusing than anything (of course not to me when I'm doing it though!). When I'm hungry, I have this routine of walking to the fridge, opening fridge, closing fridge, walk to pantry, flick on light, flick off light, walk back to fridge over and over again. BUT when the pantry light burns out, I will continue to turn it on and off even though i KNOW it doesn't work..it's become so natural that I just do it anyways! I literally turned that thing on and off about 30 times one day during my food finding routine when it didn't work."View

Transition from High school to Collage

"I'm in my second year of college at Austin Community College, and while some may mock the community college, I'm getting the same education and even some of the same teachers from the University of Texas, for a fraction of the cost! Granted I can't get a bachelors degree, but in due time! Anywho, I have to say, I love college sooo much more than highschool. In highschool you have such a studen community where you are basically forced to be together all the time. In college you're more free to come and go as you please, even more so if 1. its a community college, or 2. you dont live on campus. But that's only if you don't want that student community feel.I don't know..the work may be harder in college, but the pressure, for me atleast, has definitly gone down. Whereas before I was taking classes because I had to, now I'm taking classes because I want to, which gives me a lot more motivation to do well. And like practically everyone before me has said, you can change your major at any time, so don't fret if you're not completely sure what you want to do."

I had posted in the session zero section to try and get some suggestions on my wallpapers, but to no avail as of yet. As dumb as this sounds, I think I actually feel sorta dejected. Lol weird right? "Cromartie Highschool is a pretty funny anime. Really depends on what type of anime you're looking for next. My favorite anime is called Mahoujin Guru Guru, it's a little on the kidish side, but I still really like it.If you do bittorrents, you should check out animesuki.com. They actually have mahoujin guru guru, but also, you can get descriptions for shows that they have on there. So when I'm looking for something new to dl, I pop on over and just start clicking away! Hope you find something to watch!"

On the first one, which is the one I think got rejected, I know the background is kinda whatever, but it was saying that my 'main image' was a bad scan or something to that effect, only I drew that..so as far as that goes, should I just save it as a higher resolution? I wasn't sure about files sizes or anything so I've been trying to keep them down without ruining the images. I also don't really understand what I'm supposed to do to change the image if using photoshop filters/layer blending and adjusting colors etc. is bad. I mean other than just drawing the background myself that is. Is there some cosmic secret I'm missing out on?! o_o
On the second one, I can't find that same picture at a higher quality than what it is, but I like the watercolor feel of it..is it maybe not up to par though? I wanted the background to be somewhat simplistic to not override the characters..but I fear it would get the same rejection statements as the mahoujin one.
I could sure use some suggestions! ;_;"
