The reason for my sadness is that the 3rd Season is not going to be a TV series, but instead a two-episode OVA. Each episode will be released as a bonus DVD for the last two volumes of the manga. Yeah.. School Rumble is coming to an end. ;_;

My scan result is too heavy.

"Just use the common sense, instead of worrying about quality numbers. I think the best way to do it, is previewing the result. Lower the quality setting and check if you get any artifacting in the image. If everything seems to be ok, keep lowering and checking, until you notice problems in the image, then you know that you've reached the limit. Well, that's my tip. Good luck! "

That's the point. There's no really a recipe for overclocking. Depending on what pieces of hardware you have, the paths you have to walk through in order to successfully overclock your machine can be very different, and sometimes you won't be able to overclock at all (at least, not enough to make a difference in performance). That's why it's really important to know well what kind of hardware do you have and understand the concepts behind overclocking (FSB Frequency, multipliers, DRAM Frequency, etc).
Unfortunately my overclocking knowledge is very limited so I really can't give you any useful advice, probably the things I know, you already have read in overclocking tutorials.
Now, your DRAM frequency options are weird, indeed. Maybe they're weird because you changed the CAS,RAS settings? I advise you not to try to overclock both CPU and RAM at the same time, because you wouldn't know precisely what settings gave you a performance improvement.

"First of all, overclocking is something that you shouldn't be playing with, if you have no idea what you're doing, and this seems to be the case. So be very careful before doing anything.
My advice for you is to do a lot of research, check what kind of hardware do you have, what are its specifications, its limitations, and so on. You really need to know what you're doing if you want to successfully overclock your machine. And go check some overclockers board or something, you'll probably have better advice there.

Club-To-Death Angel Dokuro-chan

"I checked this show recently out of curiosity because Saeko Chiba (Dokuro's voice actress) mentioned Dokuro-chan in a internet radio program and I ended up watching all episodes available. In technical terms, it's really a very simple anime (some might say mediocre.. ^^). But I really loved the humor and the characters and this is something very personal. I guess most people would find the kind of humor present in Dokuro-chan repulsive, offensive and idiotic. Dark humor is not the kind of humor that pleases many people.
Anyway, regarding whether or not there will be more episodes of the show, my guess is that there will be not. At least not in a near future, because it seems that Tsutomu Mizushima (the director for Dokuro-chan) is busy with two new anime series (Kemeko DX and xxxHOLiC) for this year.

The new version of "Fly me to the moon" was ruined for me too... For someone who listened to such a beautiful piece of music as "Thanatos - If I can't be yours", it's hard to be happy with it. Man... I was really expecting something great but...

Whatever happened to the live action version they were going to make?, have they decided to forget about it? cos that was a brilliant idea, weta were lined up or someone like that, it would have been amazing

I hope they just keep this live action project buried. A Hollywood version of Evangelion would be really just a nightmare. Of course, it could be an eye-candy with all those fancy Hollywood-made CG-stuff, but with this new Rebuild project I guess there's no need for that.

It was quite recent that I first had contact with Evangelion and since then I became a great fan of the anime so I'm really looking forward for this movie, specially considering that Tsurumaki is directing it. But it's interesting to see that some people that used to watch Eva back in that time, now got tired and hate it now. I wonder if it would be the same with me if I hadn't ignored Eva when it was the hype of the moment.

"I watched it and honestly I didn't like it very much. Compared to Excel Saga this spin-off was a let down for me. In my opinion it lacked creativity and that Kobayashi girl was really annoying! Boy, she was excessively crazy! ^^
Not that it's a bad anime, there are some really funny jokes but I didn't enjoy it as much as Excel Saga.
But I think there isn't anything like this show. I guess there's no one as crazy as Nabeshin. ^^"

"It's a nice wall but I think Ayanami's image kinda lacks quality. The image needs some cleaning, and you can see some jpeg artifacting at some places and some blurry spots. Did you resize up the image? If you did, I suggest you to look for a higher resolution scan or vector the one you have.
One thing that might improve the overall look of the wall is adding something to the black borders. I think it's a bit empty, and some simple lines, shapes, could be nice. Hope it helps. Wish you good luck & work! "

"I don't know if it's supposed to be like that, but I think the wings don't seem to be part of the character, because it's all blurry and simple. And I think the background is not very interesting too. If you want wings perhaps you could add wings with more detail and sharper lines. "It's a nice wall but I think you can improve the extraction a bit, for example, Yukino's left side (from our point of view, not hers .. ^^) has some problems like her hair (the extraction is jaggy) and shoulder (seems like some parts were "eaten up"). Soichiro has some jaggy parts too.
I think the color composition could be improved, because the wall is kinda unbalanced now. We have very strong, contrasty colors in the right side and almost no colors in the left side. Perhaps replacing the white background for some other color could work better, I don't know. Try experimenting with it. Hope it helps. Wish you good luck! "

The 256 Mb I was referring to was Yuki-ne3Chan's current amount of memory, not about your suggestion. ^^
I agree with your suggestion, Firestorm. Going for an additional memory stick seems the best choice, unless Yuki is planning to make a full upgrade (then it's possible to go for a whole new system with much more RAM). But even if she adds 256 Mb to the current PC, I still think 512 Mb is not the enough amount for image editing nowadays.
Now I disagree with what ExileZX said here regarding virtual memory.. as far as I know increasing virtual memory won't make your PC faster. Actually using virtual memory will decrease your system performance. Virtual memory is a a way to virtually have more RAM than you have physically. So it uses HDD space and uses it as if it was RAM. However, HDD access speed is way slower than RAM memory, that's why the performance decreases. "

"Defragmenting your HDD is good, and it's a good thing to do it in a somewhat regular basis. However, don't expect it to solve all your problems. The performance gain for a regular use is not that big. Note: defragmenting won't give you more space in your HDD. It will only realocate the space used, so your HDD has more contiguous used space, that's all.
As already pointed by others, it's probably the lack of RAM that is causing the slowdown. 256 MB is not enough to use Photoshop in a comfortable way.

"The concept is nice and the background is fitting with the scan. But I think you can improve the extraction a bit more, it's a bit jaggy at some parts and there's some very slight leftovers that make the scan standout too much. Try to work these to get a better blending of the scan and the background. And I'd also suggest you to try other colors for the background (I'm not sure if this light blue fits with Zero). Hope it helps.

Now for backgrounds, if you're talking about stock photos then I suggest paying a visit to the Resource Pool group. "

The background is fitting with the character, and the effects you applied to age the elements of the wall are good.
