And I think that they have decided that this roster is pretty much the one that's going to make theme famous. So they need to take the intesity in the matches so that they won't injure them selfs. But still the matches are still incredible and so much better than any WWE match."

"Death Note has to be one of the best manga I have ever read, it’s up there with Akira.
Great manga, great story, well told, I like the art work, I loved almost all the characters (there were a couple of egocentric morons I hated... Near, Mellow I’m looking at you), and the freaking plot just got better and better. It was a great manga, and I just love how everything that Light did was "just as plan". I feel lucky to have read it, and enjoy every minute of it... except for the ending. WHY THE HELL DID LIGHT LOSE TO THAT BRAT IN SUCH A PATHETIC WAY! WHY THE HELL DID LIGHT HAVE TO LOSE!!! I mean, they guy kills freaking every body that stands in its way but with a freaking master plan that half of us would be lucky to come up with in our life time! You know what worst part is? That in volume 10 you realize that Light has to die because how fuck up he and the world is beginning to be, you just hope that he doesn't die a victim of that L wanabe Near and he god dam does! Why the hell could he just win kill everybody and die a minute later because it was his god dam time! NNNNo he had to lose to the brat. And you know what I really like what he was doing with the world, and I didn't give a flying f**(& for one minute that he was a mass murder. I don't know maybe not living in a first world country that only has like one or two murders a year and were you can actually trust a police man, has made me not see Nears point of why what Light was doing was wrong. Maybe living in a third world country in witch 20 people are murder every day (in average, some times 10 some times 22), a place so fill with corrupt politicians that make more damage that actual criminals, maybe living surrounded by so much violent S@#$@ has made me sinic enough to actually agree with Light and his vision of the world (well not the he being a new God thing, that’s just mess up). But other than that its a superb manga and I really recommend it."

"I know that Im probably going to piss off some fan boys, but by far my biggest dissapointment is and probably will be for the rest of my life Gundam Seed Destiny. It started good and solid, but after episode 15 it started a never ending spiral of doom. There was no real character development, Mwu came back from the dead, they had that "The fate of the world is in our hads, but I feel like going out shoping", one episode wasted in a secondary anoying character, I hated the heroes so much that I actually wanted the bad guy to win, etc. It was a fucking disaster."

"This Chris Benoit case is all fuck up.
I’m sorry but it really is all mess up, I mean the man was a good guy and to snap like that. Just doesn't make sense. What makes me sick is the attitude that Vince and the WWE is having all thought out this case. When they found out what had really happened they condemn Benoit just so that they could cover their asses. Vince is saying things like "Roid Rage, which is ridiculous!! That was a cold calculated murder". It’s like saying that Benoit was nothing more than a cold blooded murder and that people should concentrate in that rather than in the steroids abuse controversy. Where the hell is the freaking loyalty!!! And I understand that the WWE has to cover their asses, but there were better way of doing it. I personally don't think that roid rage was the reason he snap, it doesn't make sense. I think that he had some internal demons that he had never dealt with, so it all accumulated until friday night he snap killed his wife and kid. Came out of it and ones he realize what he had just done he became deeply depress. This lasted saturday until he could not take it any more and decided to take his own life. It is obvious that the suicide was plan, and you only kill yourself when you are deeply depressed. And we all know the rest.

Now I want to hear what the toxicology report has to say about what was in Benoit system that weekend, because if they find any illegal drug or steroid then I think that the WWE should the held responsible for. I think that it is irresponsible that even after what happened to Eddy Guerrero they still do nothing about steroids abuse and just put on this fake drug testing that is nothing more that a farce. There is no real discipline in the WWE they are probably thinking "as long as the wrestlers make us money they can do what ever the hell they want. And if they die who cares, we can make a special and get better ratings. Even better, lest use a wrestler’s death to sell special DVD's or push another wrestler carrier (I'm looking at you Rey)"

What's interesting is that WWE and TNA had to deal with death this past month, and but how different it was for both companies. WWE had to deal not only a tragic death, but one that it’s surrounded by mystery and possible controversy that will only point out how fuck up that organization is. TNA on the other hand, had to deal with the death of a brave woman that lost its fight with cancer, but that served as an inspiration to all TNA and the fans. The WWE has Vince saying on the today show that Benoit was a cold blooded murder. TNA has a beautiful video on Slammiversary in witch Jeff Jarrett is basically saying that he respect and appreciate the TNA fans so much that he is willing to share this very personal moment with theme and that he is thankful for all the support. I just think that it’s funny how we can make this comparison, and I know that their two different cases, but I think it can help see in what states are the two organizations at."

Would it help any if I told you that the original script writer that had worked on SEED left Destiny after episode 13 to work for Geneon? If he had stayed things probably would have gone differently. Regardless I still like Destiny and how everything turned out.


Yes that does help a lot! Now its beggining to make a lot of sences. No wonder GSD sucks, they probably hierd some poor bastard that had no idea of what to do with the story that he had to continue, and to top it off add fukuda's irrational love for Kira and T.M.Revolution and you have yourself on fuck-up series. Look man Im having fun with this discussion, how about we move it to another thread and continue the "are recap episodes good for character development" disscusion. Just a mature, non insultive conversation. It will be fun and best of all we can earn papers doing it. After rewatching episodes 10 and 47 I did notice some new things that you may have overlooked. In episode 10 Meer simply told Athrun that the Chairman needed her help and that was about it. In episode 47 you saw the trails and tribulations that Meer had to go through. Showing action is far better storytelling than merely telling. Whenever something went right and she was praised Meeer had the genuine desire to work harder for the Chairman to realize his ideals. You saw the excitment on her face when the bandages first came off. You heard her thoughts after she delivered her address to the people of PLANTs urging them not to act hastily. If you still feel that this was all useless, then I suppose that is really your own opinion and I do realize that there is nothing I can do or say to make you change it. Its just that everyone I talked to have found the recap episodes, while annoying, also insightful. Maybe they're just seeing something your not. I don't know. I believe that seeing the reasons behind why the characters are doing what they do is good for the development of the character. In episode 41 Kira at the end says that Callgai and lacus are working to build a new future and reason he fights is to protect that future. This shows that Kira has legitimate reasons for fighting the battles he does. If you don't feel that same way, you're entitled to that. For now let's just keep to the subject at hand.


Ok I was wrong about episode 10, but still every thing that was said about Meer in that episode was nothing new (And I really don't see how wasting time in stupid pop song counts as character development). Dude all you have to do is pay attention and you can figure the Meer character. Look I’m a big fan of character development, but only when its done right. Take Wolf's Rain for example. Great character development, not only in worlds but in actions. The character are not the same at the beginning of the story as they are at the end. And it wasn't the 4 flashback episodes that gave them that personal if not spiritual wrought, it was what they said and did in each and every episode. That's what character development is, not some lame flashback episode that in reality only gives you 10-20 seg of new dialect that tells you how a character feels and thinks. Its episodes that we can see what a character feels and thinks but thro actions and good written dialog. Tsune from wolf rain may have said that he accepted the idea of paradise in a monologue in the recap episode and he might even have said why he changes his mind. But instead you see him say a great speech about how he was going to find paradise no matter what and set on their journey with a whole different attitude. And the reason why he change his mind? Well they never tell you why, they know that you’re smart enough to figure it out. If there’s a good character development you don't need a recap episode to explain everything to you. You just understand what a character feel and thinks. I didn't need a recap episode to understand what Cagallis dad was feeling or thinking. When Orb and the Archangel fought the Atlantic federation I perfectly understood that they felt that "even though we won't win this battle, I have to fight. Not because we are going to end this war, not because it is my duty, not because I was order to, but because it’s the right thing to do! I know that what the other army is doing is wrong and I just can't sit back and let theme do it. And I know that eventually we are going to lose, but I have my values and my principles, and I’m going to defend theme even if it cost me my life!” And when you think about it there was no real character development in GSD. There’s no real personal or spiritual wrought by any of the characters. They all act and think the same from the beginning to the end of the series. The recap episodes did nothing to improve that, if anything it just made things worst. Look all I’m saying is that recap episodes are a terrible way of having character development, if there’s good righting you don't need to have recap episodes to explain things to the viewers. If anything using recap episodes to develop a character is just a way of admitting that you have such a weak script that you need something extra to explain things or thinking that you’re viewers are not smart enough to figure things out on their own, so you might as well explain things to theme."

Sounds more like the end of SEED than anything else. Two massively warring factions duking it out. A third, neutral party stepping in, fighting both sides, saying "Quit it". And if you don't like philosophy and dialogue in your gundam series, that's really your problem. Please don't make a big fuss and ruin it for the others. Many of the flashback episodes in SEED/Desitny were talking about why people were fighting and what were the causes of the war. That's good character development right there. Not just some random soldier saying "I'm going to fight because I'm told to." I know people who skipped the flashback episodes at first but went back to watch because they didn't realize what they were missing. They liked the philosophical aspect of war. Frankly I'm getting tired of everyone saying "I hate this emotional crap. Get on with the fighting and maiming" Gundam has always (with one or two exceptions like G Gundam) been more about the causes of war and how to end it, rather than how many people can we kill or things to blow up.


I desagree, the flashback episodes never told nothing new about the characters. All they did was say the same things that they had said in previous episodes with different images. If anything it made it harder for real character development. The Meer episode is a perfect example. They told the story of meer but they said nothing new about her past. If you were paying attention it said the same things that she said to Arthur at the begining of the series about how she had become Lacus doble. And that happend in episode 48, and in a 51 episode series you cant waste an episode so close to the ending to tell a story you allredy told, with the difference that this time you add image to describe it (And 2 pop song, I bet that the only purpose of the episode was to sell more crappy Jpop CD's). You use that episode to build up the story so that you get a great final episode. And if you don't belive me then just see what happend in the final episode, it was to freaking rush! Honestly GSD was a great screw you to Gundam fans. All they did with the flash back filler episodes was buy time so that months latter they can sell you special DVDs with extra footage that they would have included in the original run of the series if it werent for the stupid flashback episodes."

I know that U.C. is technically still this earth but it’s an alternate version of earth. So U.C. is not the same as our calendar or reality as it is not the same as the C.E. calendar or reality...

So I think is fair to say that this new Gundam reality is our reality only that its 300 in to the future.


The U.C. time line is just like any other time line. Most people generally agree that it the U.C. time line started at 2081 A.D. After that being the U.C. 0001 and so on. 2045 A.D. is when the colony building began when Earth's population is at 9 billion.

Considering Gundam 00 is 300 years later from today, we can pretty much conclude that the U.C. time line and 00's time line are both different and alternate from our realities.

Gundam 00 had better not shell out lame stories and less than desirable designs. Since there isn't too much to go on from their main site, I'll reserve my judgement when more information becomes available.

And I was hoping for Gundam Unicorn to be animated but I guess that isn't going to be happening...


I hate it when I get into geek fights but here it goes. ITS NOT THE FREAKING SAME!!
The god dam calendar is the only thing that helps you differenciate between Gundam Universes. If not it doesn´t make any sence. Because if their Gundams in the year 2307 why the hell there weren't any record of theme in the U.C. Whant to know why, because its not the same reallity!! And if this calendar is you previous to other Gundam calendars then whats it stoping it from being before the C.E. or the wing calendar? Its just a different time line and its our time line, and until the producers say anithing different Im going to continue defending my points."

Second you have to learn to buy smart, not only do you have to see were the good sales are or have some patients so that the price of some anime DVD's are cheap, you also have to know exactly what youre buying. So don´t you ever belive in demos, only buy anime series that you have allready watch, I don´t care how you watch it the thing is that you really know what youre getting. That way you aboid buying crappy ass series. So the key is not only get a job, but also only buy good anime."

"I’m a big Gundam fan, and I’m really excited about this new series.
I love the fact that this time their using our date system so that means that this Gundam series is set in our universe or reality (but 300 years from now). I’m happy that Fuckuda isn't going to direct this one. I love what Mizushima Seiji did with FMA and I just hope that he is a big of an Otaku to appreciate the Gundam franchise. The only thing that worries me is that with the 4 main male characters this might become another piece of crap like Gundam Wing (especially if you see the character designs). Because lets face it Gundam Wing is Gundam for girls. On the other hand U.C. is Gundam for men, Gundam Seed is Gundam for men and teens, and Gundam Seed Destiny is Gundam for retards. I just hope that this new Gundam series stays true to the original Mobile Suit Gundam.

Hmmm. The only Gundam series I have watched that does not take place in the Cosmic Era is Gundam Wing. I've been wanting to watch more Gundam shows, but the dated animation of most really turn me off. Gundam 00 should be interesting.


DUDE YOU COULDNT BE MORE WRONG!! Please you must watch the original Gundam series... hell all of the Universal Century series they are the best of what Gundam has to offer!! I use to think like you, until 2 years ago I started watching the original Mobile Suit Gundam, and believe me it started a little slow but it turn out to be so freaking good I couldn’t believe it. The animation was bad but the story is so freaking good you can't believe they made it back in 1979 and 1980. If you really like Gundam then the U.C. is a must see, ask any Gundam fan that has watch Wing, Seed and U.C."

I HATE TNA!! I hate everything about it, from the ring to the wrestlers. They'll never get to WWE status, I mean come on!, there were other wrestling shows before but didn't lasted because of WWE. There was this even good wrestling show where bucker t, mysterio, and other wrestlers from WWE came from and its hell of a good show, but what happened, WWE ate them all. So, good luck to TNA and all its fans but WWE still rocks and it will always be despite the cheesy scripts. It's still the best wrestling show out there! >_<


You are entitle to your opinion... but your are wrong (jajajaja just kidding). I think I understand why you "Hate TNA", its because they can't deliver the same kind of show WWE does (when it comes to production). But you have to understand that TNA is only 5 years old, so they still need more time to get the money and fans to be able to open each show with a fireworks show or fill stadiums, but I think that with time they are going to be as big as the WWE. I don't know why you don't like the wrestlers, yes they don't have the charisma that Cena has (And for the record, Cena only has Charisma, he can't wrestle) but they give it all the have in every ppv. The WWE doesn't deliver great matches in their ppv, at least not in the las year. But you see, pretty light shows and great fireworks are just part of the show. The rest of a WWE show is fill with bad stories lines, mediocre wrestling and cliche moments. Its almost as if they have stop trying to entertain you because they know you have no were else to go.
That other company you're talking about were Booker T and Rey came from was WCW. It was good for a long time, there was one time that it was better than WWF. WWE didn't ate it up, what happened is that it was part of turner entertainment, and when AOL Time Warner deal happened the new administration didn't support WCW so they started pulling money out of WCW and not letting theme do their jobs. So is not that WWE ate theme up, is that they simply weren't supported by their father company. And no, they didn't support WCW because it suck, they didn't support it because the people in charge, unlike Ted Turner, didn't like wrestling. WWF never took WCW out of business, they just survive it.

You mention "cheesy scripts", well back in the attitude era there were no "cheesy scripts", at least not in the important story lines. Go to youtube and see the rocks moments, or austins moments, or mankind moments, hell all the attitude era moments, theres nothing cheesy about the stories or the interviews or the matches. Back then WWF deliver. Yes there were a few cheesy moments from the attitude era, but it was filled with so much great moments that you didn't mind the cheesy moments. Right now is the same old formula: Big wrestler enters the ring, other wrestler tries to fight him but the big wrestler is so power full that he easely defeats the other wrestler with a "devastated move". Its the same crap over and over again. They don't bust their asses as much as they use to do it 10 years ago. And yes I don't like the WWE right now because the cheesy scripts are just to stupid. A perfect example is Booker T or better know as King Booker. Ever since he enter the WWE he has been nothing more than a joke. But thats just an insult to Booker T's talent. I saw him wrestle in WCW and not only he had great wrestling ability he also had a respectable character. And thats why I like TNA, they respect their wrestlers and let theme have characters with personalities that they like and that are respectable.

Another reason why I don't like the WWE is that they are going way too far in the controversy shit and not in the good sense. An example is Chris Masters. Chris Masters beats women, that’s just sick, wrong and it’s a bad example to all the little kinds that watch the show. I’m sorry that’s just going too far. And it’s not even done like he applies a special move or some thing that you know that women had to practice it to pull it off so you know she is a pro. Or that the women that he attacks are wrestlers, because even a kind understand that their wrestlers so they can take it. No! He picks "random" women from the crow applies the master lock and stat tossing theme around. When I saw this for the first time I knew she was a pro, but even they it was just too graphic and violent for my taste. I mean I liked when the controversy was when Austing destroy the Rocks car with a monster truck, or the hell in a cell being to violent, or the things that DX did. I know that Jeff Jarret hit Miss Brooks with a guitar, but first of all its obvious that’s a fake guitar and second it at least resemble cartoon violence (Something that you wouldn’t normally see in real life), unlike Chris Masters’s version of the master lock on a woman that resembles domestic violence. Don't even get me started on the "Vince McMahon vs. God" story line from last year!! And the Divas... I like watching theme, there hot, but I have to admit that if I had kids I wouldn’t want theme watching women behave like they do, specially my daughter. There hoers! So you can say that the WWE is like school on Sunday: NO CLASS AT ALL."

What he does to women makes me sick and its in big part a reason why I stoped watching wwe for a couple of years. But any way, yes I miss the old WCW days, the NWO was incredible. But if you don't like WWE but like good epic wrestling I recomend the TNA PPV's or ROH, they have great incredible matches. TNA stars give it all in every match, not like the new WWE stars."

Its like in a party do you want to dace with the hot babe or the girl with a charming personality? And yes there are female otakus, but they don't count for nothing wen it comes to bringing money to the anime industry. So as long as guys want their anime fill with big breast panty showing dumb cliche personality brother complex cute face wierd hair color long legs totally hot anime babes, then thats what your going to get!!! I stopped watching it 5 or 6 years back. I don't understand why people like it so much. They're all acting. And besides... whats the point in watching two or more men in their underwears behave like monkeys in a sqaure??


I know is fake, but that doesn't matter. Its like watching a good action movie, you know that it can't be real but still you watch it because it entertains you. What I like about wrestling is the over the top matches. Is like watching a good movie fight, only that its live. And when theres a good story and two great wrestlers then its easy to get hook up. And thats the reason why I like TNA. They go all the way in every important match in every PPV, so is entertaining watching theme beating the crap out of each other in way you never imagine. Thats why I love wrestling to see incredible moves than in real life would kill some one. I know its violent but as long as its pretend then theres nothing wrong with it, but don't get me wrong, you have to have maturity to separate fiction with reality. Its similar to anime and real life. You know that a katana is good but not that good, yet you enjoy watching a hot chick with a katana cut through steel giant robots.

"I know that theres a lot of wrestling fans out there, so I thought that we should start talking abuout it.
I think that right now TNA has a better product wen it comes to wrestling than the WWE. But the WWE has a better production product. But to be hones this year wwe has been a disappointment, now its just a lot of posers that can't wrestle. I hate the fact that Cena is still champion, he can't wrestle and the only reason that he is still the champion is because all the young fans love him. And I don't know, maybe now a days all you need to do is be a white kid and thinks you can rap, walk to the center of the ring and start saying gay jokes and the people will love you. But that doesn't cut it for me. You see when I started watching the wwf 15 years ago Bret "The Hitman" Hart was the champion and belive me he can wrestle! Just a few weeks a go I saw a match he had at wresltemania 9 and I thought to my self "No wonder I thought this shit was real, they really busted their asses back then!". Back then if you were the champion you had the total package, you could wrestle and you acted you character so well that either people loved you or they hated you. But not only the champion, almost all of the wrestles back there were the total package. So you see, we you hear a lot of 20+ year olds saying that the wwe sucks its because we grew up during the best years of the WWF and WCW. We live the monday night war and belive me wen I tell you it was incredible. Back then we had Bret Hart, Shaw Michaels, Steve Austin, The Rock, DX, Hulk Hogan, Lex Lugger, Yokosuna, Nation of Domination, Kane, Undertaker, Buff Baggel, Konan, Billi Kidman, Ric Flair, Kevin Nash, Scott Hall, Vader, Bam Bam Bigalo, the freaking NWO, Mr. Perfect, Ahemt Johnson, M.O.M., Jerry Lawler, Doink, Owen Hart, The British Bull Dog, Goldberg, HHH, Sting, Macho Man etc, busting their asses every week so that they could beat the other company. So no only we saw great story lines but we also saw great matches. If you don't belive me go to youtube and watch some of this matches and some of the incredible moments we saw back then and you will see of what I'm talking about. And thats the reason why I support TNA. They have great matches and there so good it reminds me of the good old days of the wwf. The only thing they need to improbe is in their interviews, get rid of the ridiculous mascot, help new talent get into character, and just a better production product. But their new and they will grow and I'm going to witness it."

How many episodes is perfect?

"It doesn't matter how long is a series, as long as its good.
Look what really matters is that an anime series, ova or movies is good. Take Hoshi no koe for example its only like 30 min long and its way better than some crummy long series like Inuyasha (No, Im not sorry Inuyasha fans, Inuyasha sucks and thats the truth). FMA is 51 episodes and you enjoy all of theme (GSD on the other hand... DAM YOU FUKUDA GIVE ME BACK A YEAR OF MY LIFE!!). And DBZ is 200+ and its fucking good, I can still watch an episode even knowing that I have watch it 10 already. I think that what Im trying to say is that as long as a series is good it doesn't matter how big it is, just enjoy it."

Actually its the top 8 of anything related to anime. All the reason why I didn't write 8 its because it's a joke that's a reference to the book written by Terry Pratchett call "The Colour of Magic". I this comes from the explanation of the cosmology of the disc world, and I quote

I worry because even knowing that I did my best I still worry that my best is not good enough and if that happens I fail the class, thats money and time down the drain and I can´t afford neither. So yes come exam week I worry and study like hell. After exam week is back to normal... I have a life you know."

Well expect more because they've announced that there will be a 4,5 and 6. Another trilogy basically but no word yet whether or not Raimi, Maguire and Dunst will be returning.



I honest to God hope that Raimi doesn't come back, he is a terrible director. I have watch all 3 spiderman movies hoping that they might be good but I have been dispointed. The main problem that I have with all the spiderman movies is the terrible cliche acting from all the main character. There too cartoony, and les face it spiderman is one of the marvel characters that has a real human personality and its not shown in any movie. The movies are fill of cheap B movies cliches, for example every time a villand apears theres a shot of a woman screaming infront of the camera. Now if your going to tell me that because its base on a comic it has to be cartoony you are wrong. X-Men movies have a more serious air that makes them a little belivable and they can even cuallify as science fiction. The action is good, but that only makes the movie watchable, good actions is not equal to good movie. The 3 then 2 villans story was bad written. The movie was to freaking long, specially with all the mexican sopopera scenes in it. So overall over rated and simply is a watch at home movie in my opinion and nothing more.
