I agree. People like to watch something they can relate to. Whether it be people who're in High School (of course they can relate), people who're younger (HS is like the "ideal" place to be), people who are older (reminisce on their youth, maybe? :P). "

"I recommend you to download GIMP, as it is a free program and it's fairly easy to figure out (taking some time to explore the tools, of course). There's a way to convert photoshop brushes into GIMP brushes too, but I won't go into details (too long X3). Photoshop tutorials are also applicable to GIMP, most of them anyway. :]

Animes are cartoons

"In my personal view, I think that there's more contrast in cartoons and anime than similarities. To me, I think it's the matter of age that makes these two different. Cartoon is usually enjoyable to younger children (but not necessarily limited to that, of course). But there are many kinds of anime suitable for almost all ages.

And not to mention the style of art is completely different. Anime has its own uniqueness with the larger-than-normal eyes and not-so-realistic hair (especially colors!). Anime is from Japan and (I'm not too sure about it, but...) I think it can't be found anywhere else in the world.

Also, the plots usually have more depth than cartoon. Even though some anime plots are unrealistic, it can still be fun to watch (like fantasy, magic, robots, etc.) This reason relates back to what I said earlier about the age difference.

This is all just my opinion though... I know other people have different views on this. XD "

Well... if that was the case, then I'd try to persuade him that anime is not just childish cartoon or more nonsense that I watch/read out of boredom. And if he doesn't understand me, then the relationship wouldn't last very long. If he were the ideal boyfriend, he would understand me and would allow me to watch/read my anime and manga, but I wouldn't force him to share the same interests as me."

What do you think is most important in an anime?

"1. The artwork / style of drawing the characters (examples I like are Chobits, Ayashi No Ceres, Death Note, Ultra Maniac, Full Moon Wo Sagashite)
2. The seiyuu (voice actors) should suit the anime character (the female character should not such a high-pitched or childish voice, and the male should not have too deep or too girly voice)
3. The genre of the anime should appeal to my liking (I like romance, adventure, comedy, etc.)"

"Kare Kano had a terrible ending... it really needs a sequel. It would also be nice to see a sequel to Rurouni Kenshin.

As for manga, I'd really want a sequel to Zettai Kareshi / Absolute Boyfriend. I'm totally NOT satisfied with the ending. XD

Weird dreams

"The dream I had last night was weird enough. It's nighttime, and I'm inside a shopping mall somewhere. The lights are all turned off and I'm inside. I just can't find the exit... I just kept running, feeling so freakin' scared. I'm at the basement of the mall where there are some cars, but it's still quite dark. Then I reach a room where it's dimly lit with orange light (not white neon light). I see a person there and I think I asked him/her to help me get out of this place. But he/she didn't help me. I just kept searching for a way out.

Now, this dream would not be so wierd.... except for the fact that I've had this dream for about 6 times now in the past 2 years. Different events happen each time (I go search for the exit at other places) but it's still at this same mall in the dark basement where the cars are parked. And I never find the exit in each dream.
