It's another generic shounen, has the soul/hollow hunting prospect from Bleach, the usual "collect xx of this item" storyline and the wackiness of One Piece. Despite all these factors, the animation is top-class, the characters have unique and distinct personalities, and the jokes are hilariously executed and full of wit.

Definitely watching this one through.

Also with Brooke I initially thought he might not join. I thought that since he's a swordsman, he'd simply be outclassed by Zoro - but then I remembered that there's Chopper and Franky (who both are brawlers and would be outclassed by Luffy). I also wondered about how Brooke would recover from injuries but the milk treatment allayed those fears. "

"I first heard of ALI Project when watching the Rozen Maiden series. Needless to say, their music is pretty unique but it may just be the first time I ever heard of Gothic Lolita music. One of my friends found their music rather girly though <_<

I've also watched their live performances on Youtube and the lead singer does dress and act in a really funny way. Heck, her performance involves the use of freakin streamer/whip hybrid."

"Come to think of Simon's departure, it also feels a bit like he's just given up just because Nia died. That's kind of odd considering how throughout the whole series, the whole motto was about doing your best and not giving up regardless of the odds."

"If I recall correctly, it is "ok" to download for personal reasons as you are not making a profit on the jolly thing. The problem really is just distribution and thus cutting the money making middleman. I do say "ok" mainly because there are other issues involved especially with stuff like torrent (seeds) and e2dk (I wonder why) but let's not go there.
