Do you BUY or DOWNLOAD your manga?

"I know it's bad but, I download. Like a lot. Like a lot a lot. I have a crapload of manga on cds and on my computer. Which, really, is not a good thing.
HOWEVER! I do buy as well. Not as much as I download, but I'm sort of doing my part.
Though.. the only series I buy is Hot Gimmick. At first it was other stuff as well, but scanlators went by so much more quickly that I kind of stopped."

Sometimes I care, and sometimes I don't.
However, if I'm in a fight with someone, then no. I'm sorry, but I don't really get why you would not fight back because of what others would think of you. Like are you afraid people will think you're a bully or something? And are you talking about a physical fight or a verbal one? I'm talking about a verbal one.
But in any case, I think it's hard to tell someone not to care what others think. Because even our parents encourage it, right? Like your mom might say "Be polite to the guests". And she does so because she wants you to look good in front of other people (even if she does not mean it in the "always look good" way), and for them NOT to have a bad judgment about you. Which, I don't think it's a mean thing. Since, if many people think you're a bad person, that's not really good.
Of course, you shouldn't try to make everyone like you or anything - you shouldn't do things because you want their approval. Just be yourself, really. If people can't accept that, then fine."

"For me.. I read a lot. Well, I used to read like crazy before I got a computer haha.
Now I'm not so much into flipping through novels, but my speed doesn't seem to have dwindled.
I do admit it depends on what kind of book it is - since that determines how much I like it and how interested I am. Obviously, if I like it a lot, then I'll read faster, and if I don't really like it, I'll read slower.
But anyway, I'd say I read fine. I don't have estimates really, but I can usually read a 200-ish paged book in like 8 hours or something. Though again, it depends on which book.
I have a lot of favorite novels so.. my favorite authors are: Libba Bray, Jerry Spinelli (kid stuff I know lol), Diana Wynne Jones, Meg Cabot , Sophie Kinsella... that's all I can remember."

It just ruins everything. I know some people like dubs because they can "enjoy the great artwork" instead. And I think that is a good defense. Because no matter how good you are at reading, it'll be hard to focus on both at the same time.
However, I just can't stand the voices. They suck. I know it's a bit mean because they try their best and whatever. But still. It doesn't feel the same.

I used to love Alias but then they kicked off Vaughn!! And Lost just got boring. Seriously, they should've sped it up.

It's not just relying on the culture, but the personality of the person as well. Topless women, well...that is usually called ecchi, but anime like Black Bible, no, those are hentai. I mean yeah, parents might believe that their young children is watching anime like Vandread, which they don't show topless women, isn't apporiate to watch, but hey, they'll learn that there are women like that in the world.

However, I see anime as like.. it's kind of deeper and it's not just for kids.

For me.. well, my mom is Korean, and I think Koreans are kind of like Japanese people because we both have an animation kind of culture.. if that makes any sense.
So I don't think she really cares unless I stop eating and get bags or whatever.

And I don't really watch anime with.. topless women lol.
I think it just depends on what you're watching and.. what kind of culture you come from..
